Hawk HPX Pads have been specifically engineered to meet the unique braking demands of Autocross drivers. The name comes from Hawk's new proprietary HPX high-performance friction compound, which improves communication between drivers and their braking systems. Designed to deliver clean modulation, quick activation, and a predictable, smooth bite, Hawk HPX Pads provide the precise, predictable stopping power to suit a wide range of vehicles, driving styles, modifications, and experience levels.
Tested to reactivity with rotors, overall modulation markers and temperature capacity demands, the HPX Pads from Hawk Performance are a strong option for Autocross competitors who want more controllability, precision, and consistency from their braking. Hawk HPX Pads are not intended for street use.
Features & Benefits:
- Features the new HPX proprietary friction compound, which improves communication between drivers and their braking systems
- Delivers clean modulation, quick activation, and a smooth bite for more predictable and precise braking performance
- Performance characteristics are validated through extensive dynamometer and field testing
- Engineered specifically to meet the needs of Autocross drivers
- 100° - 700° F operating range
- 100° - 600° F optimal temperature range
Brake pads are wear items, and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.
Note: Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.
