Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra Crossover & SUV Tire in 225/65R17

Own these tires for about a month they handle well in wet weather and help stopping. there has not any been any snow yet where I live in northeast but bet they will perform great. will buy again Last thing they are very smooth and quiet.

I installed these on my 2019 Ford Explorer Sport after using Bridgestone Ecopia 422 Plus's. Those tires were quiet, smooth and great on dry roads. Not so good in the rain; not terrible, but not great. Snow was not good unless it was a dusting. I use Blizzak's in the snow - great tire!

I was the first customer to have these installed on an SUV at my local Firestone retailer. I'm very particular about balance (static & dynamic) and then the road force (up and down force - hop) figures. We had troubles with two tires - one above 35lbs of road force; the other around 25lbs. I feel (hop) on anything above 10-15lbs. Really, anything over 15/20lbs is too much on a low profile tire of this size. Replacing the two tires then net road force figures at/below 15lbs on all 4 corners. The ride is very smooth now!

They absorb impact bumps/irregularities in the pavement much better than the Ecopia's - much smoother/softer. They feel a bit more squishy, but that could be because they have more tread than the worn Ecopia's. Dry handling is great and they are equally good in the wet. No hydroplaning. I've not tried them in the snow. The tread pattern does lend itself to more road noise; though, it's not annoying - just there.

With an 80,000 mile treadwear warranty, I'm interested to see how they do. I've had Michelin LTX Premiers before and these ride in a similar way to those. But, those only last 35,000 miles. Far, far too early for what they cost.

Replaced worn out Michelin tires. These Bridgstones have been great in the rain on curvy mountain roads. Never hydroplaned. No problem on wet dirt forest roads either. Track very well on the highway and bumps and imperfections are a once and done. No "extra" vibration" that some tires have when hitting uneven expansion joints , etc. I have many uneven brick streets in my city, and the tires do well on those horrible surfaces.3 I had them rotated after 7K miles and wear seems very even and minor with my all wheel drive SUV. If they continue to perform like this and wear evenly to 35-40K miles, I will purchase again. I was going to go with a more performance oriented tire, but these have never complained or felt unstable on any mountain highway curves, and I enjoy mountain roads and drive briskly. Run about 37 lbs per tire cold. Braking seems strong and has never caused alarm on quick highway stops. Tires can be so hit and miss on different vehicles, and I'm very happy with my purchase. size 235/50/19

I bought these to replace a mixed set of tires that I was dissatisfied with that came on my XC90 V8 that I got last year. I'd previously had a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus on my prior XC90, and I was very happy with them (the most satisfactory tires I've yet owned prior to these) but I wanted improved winter performance. These are exactly what I had in mind, with improved focus on winter performance from the tread design without compromising other characteristics.
Somehow they're just as quiet - if not quieter - than the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus! Most notably they seem to have a more-subdued tone over road imperfections. Like the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, they are almost eerily quiet driving around parking lots. You can definitely tell they're related to the Bridgestone QuietTrack, Turanza Serenity, and Dueler H/L Alenza Plus for their noise control. Perhaps Bridgestone could have called them Alenza QuietTrack just for branding similarities, even if QuietTrack is more for cars.
One of my favorite things with the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus was that they were very comfortable, as befitting a luxury-focused vehicle. Even though these are on bigger wheels than my previous XC90, these Alenza AS Ultra are just as comfortable as the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, with minimal transference of minor road imperfections.
Dry grip is very good, and I have greatly increased confidence over the half-mixed set of Bridgestone Dueler HL400 (OEM tire) and Goodyear ComfortTred Touring that these replaced on my vehicle.
My sole critique so far is that they don't look as special/unique as the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, which I can pick out from a short distance on a parked vehicle in a good way. However, I'll gladly sacrifice style for improved noise and ride comfort and safety, since I can't look at the tires when I'm driving.
I look forward to updating the review when I actually get some practical experience in winter conditions.

I live in the South but I drove my BMW X5 X 35D throughout the snow for three days in the Western Michigan in November. Good traction and good braking in one foot snow . A little bit noisier on the dry Interstate than the Continental DWS I owned before but I kind of expected that considering the 800 thread wear.
My BMW has the staggered wheels so I cannot rotate the tires but if I get 40000 miles out of these tires I will definitely buy a new set . None of my tires previously owned lasted more than 25000 miles.

These tires have been excellent all around. They have great traction in snow and ice. They are also quiet and treadwear is low. I would buy them again for sure.

The most long lasting tires I've ever had. I bought the second set just recently. Good for both performance driving as well as cruising. Perform well on both wet and dry surfaces.

My first Bridgestone product. Very responsive steering at low and highway speeds. Did not hydroplane in standing water while in excess of 40 mph. Handles very well in light snow. In 6 inches of snow they did not loose traction turning or accelerating, with only minor ABS engagement. They ride smooth at all speeds. There is still some tread noise. Substantially better than OEM. I feel very comfortable with these tires.

These tires are fantastic and a definite upgrade in wet and dry handling and noise from the OEM Michellin Premier LTX. The SUV is handling much better around the corners and in the recent rain. The Michellin tires had 6/32 inches left but kept slipping in the rain while driving on the freeway. These tires give me much confidence in the rain, superb dry handling for an AWD SUV.

I’m so glad I picked Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra even though there was not much reviews on the tire at that time.
Very comfortable ride, quiet and steering response is very good. I don’t drive aggressively so I comment on hard and quick steering response but we recently drove portions of Diamond Back loop in North Carolina and did not encounter slips nor under steer going thru tight turns and hairpins.
This tire is highly recommended.

Very good tire for noise and comfort

Perfect fit for my 2016 Range Rover! Corners well, rides smoothly and the tires are extremely comfortable/quiet.

This is the second set on this truck since purchased used. Very satisfied. Predictable performance in all weather conditions and outstanding tread wear.
