The Destination A/T2 is Firestone's Off-Road All-Terrain truck tire developed for drivers of pickup trucks, full-size SUVs, Jeeps and crossovers who want a tire they can depend on to get where they're going, on- or off-road, and even in inclement weather. Designed with traction and durability at the forefront, the Destination A/T2 also features light snow traction sufficient to earn the tire industry's severe snow service certification and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
A specialized tread compound is molded into the symmetric pattern of the Destination A/T2. Engineered to blend off-road capability with a comfortable and quiet ride, the high-void pattern features a solid center rib that provides constant contact with the road. The full-depth grooves of Firestone's HydroGrip Technology package help enhance wet weather handling and, combined with the increased see-through void, improves hydroplaning resistance. The aggressive shoulder pattern helps to improve handling off-road, while Stone Rejecters between the tread blocks are designed to reduce damage from stone drilling. The heavily siped features of the Destination A/T2 plus notches in the independent tread blocks and center rib deliver traction in snowy or icy conditions and help the tire earn the 3PMSF symbol.
Internal construction of the Destination A/T2 features a robust, two-ply polyester casing to blend durability and ride quality. Two wide, high-strength steel belts are reinforced with a single, nylon cap ply.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Over 100,000 miles winter ice and snow using Blizzak . They have consistently performed better than any other Winter tires.. However—-this newest set starts on wet roads with a loud chirp and short delay before gaining normal traction. On compact snow there is no “chirp” sound. I do not accelerate hard on slippery roads. This has only occured with this new set of tires. I have not been aware of any change in performance . Snow traction seems to be very good.

Amazing traction on snow (even deep snow) and ice. I can't imagine there is another stud-less tire out there that is better than this one for winter driving.

These tires did their jobs well. I've been driven them up and down the hill going from the flat lands to Tahoe. Driving like a sane person, I did not experience any slippage without chains and AWD. When I have these snows on, I am more mellow on dry pavement to prevent extreme tire wear. I save more aggressive driving for summer tires. With that driving style, I have seen very little tire degradation over 8500 miles. They are a bit loader than all season tires, but not unbearable. I can still have conversations at normal volume on the highway.

Ironically these tires provide a softer ride than factory tires. I have used Blizzaks for 25 years. Tried other makes initially, but went back to the Bridgestone snow tires and have never been let down.

Not my first set of Blizzaks. Best winter tires I know. One problem, however expected, is comparably short life of these tires due to their soft compound. Still, highly recommend to all driving in harsh winter conditions, such as we have in Minnesota.
