The Blizzak LT is Bridgestone's Light Truck/SUV Studless Ice & Snow tire developed for heavy-duty applications. Designed to provide the drivers of medium-duty, heavy-duty and commercial light trucks with the load carrying capacity and traction they need, the Blizzak LT is available in load range E (10-ply rated) sizes and delivers sure-footed confidence in cold, dry and wet conditions in addition to in snow and on ice.

Bridgestone Blizzak LTUtilizing a rugged, light truck winter compound enables the Blizzak LT to withstand the heavy loads and harsh conditions often encountered by commercial vehicles. Tie bars in the outboard shoulders connect and stabilize the tread blocks to provide confident handling and resist irregular wear. Wide, outboard circumferential grooves help evacuate deep water and slush, and the zig zag center groove further aids hydroplaning resistance while also improving snow traction. Deep tread depths and independent tread blocks aid grip in snow, while the specialized winter compound and high sipe density provide traction in wet or snowy conditions in addition to on ice.

The internal construction of the Blizzak LT consists of a robust, two-ply polyester cord casing. Two high strength, steel belts support the tread and are reinforced by a nylon casing ply.

Blizzak LT winter tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Blizzak LT tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Blizzak LT, Bridgestone recommends using Blizzak LT tire on all wheel positions to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

...Wet traction wasn't a problem either...

I purchased these tires for the winter on my service van. They performed very well in snow and good on ice. Wet traction wasnt a problem either. Dry traction was good too. When the tires are new and the tread is the deepest you may feel some steering issues when cornering at highway speeds but this is a soft compound winter tire and my service van is very heavy. Tread ware is just ok but that was to be expected as these are winter tires and are of a softer compound for colder weather. These tires ride very nice and are quite quiet on highway. This set only lasted for a season and a half but the service van is heavily loaded all the time and that was to be expected. I would definitely recommend this tire for anyone who wants excellent grip and braking abilities in winter conditions. I will be getting another set for this winter season as well. Dont forget these tire must be used in all tire positions for best performance ( install in sets of 4 only).

I bought these for my F150. They are the best winter tire I've ever owned. I live in a rainy climate but frequently drive to the mountains to go skiing. These tires easily handle everything I've thrown at them. I've driven only 6k on them, but haven't seen any, that's right ANY, tread wear. If you're on the fence, buy them. You won't be disappointed.

These are my first set of of Blizzaks for my GMC 2500 HD and two sets for Acura MDX; they are an amazing winter tire. We live in the mountains of northern Vermont and experience very bad winter road conditions every morning: ice covered dirt roads with washboard and potholes that will throw you in the ditch if you're not paying attention!

Traction on glare ice is excellent, and over roads with heavy slush the tires always track; this is a heavy vehicle at 7000lbs so it takes a lot to move it off line.

Driving at highway speeds on dry pavement the tire is comfortable and supple. I used to run studded Hakkas on my trucks but the ride was always harsh and to be honest the Hakkas struggled in our wet slushy heavy snow storms; I should note our driveway has a 13% steep grade and I can go up and down from a stop on packed ice with no slippage.

Best SUV & truck snow tire available hands down!

...Tread so far is holding up with dry highway use...

Tires performed well in snow. Many trips to NH skiing and often in snow and ice. Marked improvement over the OEM tires which were surprisingly poor in the snow. Tread so far is holding up with dry highway use. Major disappointment was the inability to pair the pressure sensors with the truck. Multiple contacts to tire rack and attempts to pair them with the truck were in vain. Eventually just left the light on. Just swapped the OEMs on for the spring and the OEM sensors easily sync'd.

...This tire is the most reliable, no slipping and sliding...

I travel over Wolf Creek Pass twice a week all year long. This tire is the most reliable, no slipping and sliding. If taken off during the summer months this tire would last 3 years. But can't get the boss to swap them out for a cheap summer tire, so we have to replace them every fall.
Great on ice, snow, packed snow, and wet roads. About the same as any other tire on slush.
We've purchased this tire for 11 years now and will continue for as long as they make them. I also have them on my personal vehicles.

Did not disappoint. SIgnificantly more comfortable and quiet than expected...not quite as good as my all seasons but not bad at all. Exceptional traction and control in slush, ice and light snow. Seemed more capable than my prior Blizzak DM V2's in the snow. Great tread depth.

...I have to admit these tires performed very well, and made my stress levels decrease considerably. When paired with conservative driving habits I had no incidence of wheel-spin, my breaking felt solid and there was no lateral slippage when cornering...

This is only a performance review, time will tell about the durability. I was a little hesitant to purchase a newly designed tire as the LT is new and untested. However, I just did a 1000+ mile trip to ski in CO, WY, and UT which included a bit of the following: Temperatures from -10 F to 35F, highway driving with sidewinds of 40+, miles of black ice, steep climbing and descending over mountain passes where cars without winter tires were turned around, starting and stoping on steep inclines in slush, snow, and hardpacked snow (not true ice), and driving through 6 inches of unplowed snow. I have to admit these tires performed very well, and made my stress levels decrease considerably. When paired with conservative driving habits I had no incidence of wheel-spin, my breaking felt solid and there was no lateral slippage when cornering. These showed noticeable improvement over my stock tires, which I got caught driving in a storm over vail and loveland pass. That ----ed. These don't.

If there are wear issues I will edit this. That being said, I remove my winters before most other people do, I simply don't drive them if it's above 50.

...Driving about 5000 miles so far on the tires through deep snow, ice and, hard pack all season long in North western montana they are missing less than 1/32nds of tread, have no uneven wear or feathering...

One of the best studless snow tires with a 10 ply rating you can buy. The reviews of people upset with how quickly they wear I can guarantee are doing one of a few things. They are either towing a tong of weight/trailer in the winter on dry pavement, putting the tires on too early in the season/removing too late in the season, or using these tires in a climate that they are not needed. Driving about 5000 miles so far on the tires through deep snow, ice and, hard pack all season long in North western montana they are missing less than 1 32nds of tread, have no uneven wear or feathering. If you tow excessively, and or driving strictly on ice the studded nokian hekkapallite (definitely spelled that wrong) is a great alternative that will not wear as quick. If you want the best winter traction possible under normal cargo loads the blizzak LT is second to none.

My second set of these, first ones had about 24,000 miles on them and were not ready for another 9000 mile winter. I've had to drive these tires to FL twice and they seem just fine in the heat, but the treads are sensitive to temp. When towing these tires will last longer if you don't load them hard under acceleration. I towed my 9000 trailer in a blizzard and was never concerned about traction.

After a quick 5100 miles on these tires (4 road trips) they are more than halfway gone...

After a quick 5100 miles on these tires (4 road trips) they are more than halfway gone. The rear tires appear to balloon at normal highway speeds (70-80mph) and have worn terribly since day 1. The tires are noisy when stopping and also noisy when adding any throttle/acceleration at all. These are the worst tires I have ever driven on. Years ago Blizzack was a good tire that lasted and it seems these new ones are so soft that they balloon out at highway speeds. I ran them at 65psi front and rear, and had a perfect alignment which was done when I put the tires on. Reaching out to Bridgestone to see if they can offer any help.
