On-Road All-Terrain tires are for drivers who want a combination of focused on-road refinement, with some light off-road capability and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. On-Road All-Terrain tires -may be- branded with the M+S and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbols are sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on light-duty 4WD trucks, crossovers and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. On-Road All-Terrain light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four, or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the 3PMSF provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Winter traction shows capability in moderate conditions but reveals limitations on ice, with some ratings dipping to 3-5. Ride comfort earns consistent praise for smoothness, though noise levels vary with occasional mentions of road hum. Treadwear durability receives strong marks from many users (frequent 9-10 scores), but reports of premature wear (scores 1-4) suggest variability. Overall, it satisfies drivers seeking confident on-road handling with off-road readiness, though winter performance may require caution in severe conditions.

...While I've never taken them hardcore rock climbing, I've been off-road many times, have forded a river, and gone over 3 foot high snow drifts with zero slipping...
The best set of OEM tires I've ever had on a vehicle. While there are other tires out there that may look more aggressive and off-road ready, these tires have honestly handled everything I've thrown at them. The treadwear has been excellent, and I could probably put another 10k miles on this set easily. While I've never taken them hardcore rock climbing, I've been off-road many times, have forded a river, and gone over 3 foot high snow drifts with zero slipping. I would not hesitate to recommend these tires to anyone who does mostly city/highway driving but wants the ability to take it off-road without hesitation when the opportunity arises.

...On the pavement, wet or dry, they are soft, quiet, responsive and really comfortable...
Replaced the stock GoodYear Wranglers with these tires, mainly due to thier low cost. They have equalled the GoodYears in all areas except snow where they don't bite as well as the Wranglers did. Overall a great tire if you don't need the best off-road traction. On the pavement, wet or dry, they are soft, quiet, responsive and really comfortable. For my needs they are exceptional.

these tires give a great ride down the highway, good in the wet & light snow. Off road not so good ,40,000 is all you will get . For the money i think i can find a better tire.

Customers praise the Dueler A/T RH-S's winter traction, with most snow and deep snow scores between 8-10. Ice performance is solid (many 7-8 ratings), though some lower scores suggest variability in extreme icy conditions. Excellent capability in intended rugged winter environments aligns with its all-terrain design.

...nothing would stop this truck/tire combination especially in deep snow. 4WD was not all ways necessary and was constantly towing out stuck cars, trucks and SUV's during some of the worst snow storms...
Bought my truck with these tires all ready installed and quickly discovered why. Seemed like nothing would stop this truck/tire combination especially in deep snow. 4WD was not all ways necessary and was constantly towing out stuck cars, trucks and SUV's during some of the worst snow storms. Also went off road a lot and had fun on tank trails and a few training courses used for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV). I have had this truck/tire combination for 4 years I am just now noticing noise and wear. I will be buying these again for sure.

...I must say until this moment I thought highly of them as they did well in all road conditions and were above average in the winter...
Came with truck as an upgraded tire. Was wearing well and I expected to get another 20K out of them comfortably… but then they cracked. All 4 tires cracked on a trip across the country to pick up a travel trailer. The cracks run down the tread and even the tire shop I stopped at in BFE Texas said they’ve never had experience like that with Bridgestone but I suspect being OEM they have been cost cut for GM. GM saves and I pay. I’d post photos but there is no option that I can see. For the cost I am having Toyo Open Country A/T 3’s swapped in right now so I can continue to pull our trailer back from Texas to Wisconsin. I must say until this moment I thought very highly of them as they did well in all road conditions and were above average in the winter. Hopefully I’m the exception to the rule.

These tires are amazing! We had 4 blizzards this past winter and a very very muddy spring and I hardly had to use 4 wheel drive at all. These tire dig in a go when you need them to. I drive half/half highway and gravel country roads and have no problems whatsoever. There is a noticeable noise level increase with the more agressive tread pattern compared to the cheesey street tires my Expedition came with, but that is very minor compared to outstanding performance. I highly recommend!

...I have been very impressed with the traction of these tires in the dry and on the snow...
The dealer installed these tires on my truck right before I puchased it. At the time the truck had 60,000 miles on it. The truck now has 75,000 miles on it. I have been very proactive in managing the wear of these tires because I am and probably will remain a michelin man. I have roatated every 5,000 miles and even purchased the life time allignment so I can get it and keep it alligned. I have been very impressed with the traction of these tires in the dry and on the snow. I cant say the same for the wet acceleration traction. I know these are installed on a pick up so they are expected to do a lot when it is raning, but they do spin quite easily when it is wet. Stability and tracking is much better than I would expect from a tread designed in this manner. The tread wear is very even and they seem like they will last 50-60k. The only thing that is preventing me from purchaing these tires again is the road noise. Every mile they get louder and louder. I know they are an AT tire so they are not supposed to be quite, but they were quite when new so I was hoping they would stay that way. It isnt the case and a little disappointing for only having 15k on them. The more I rotate them the louder they seem to get. I can deal with it because new tires cost $1,000.
If I had to get new tires today, I would look at the getting a all season tire. My driving style doesnt take me of road much any more.

...They grip very well in the dry, less well in the wet. Very predictable steering response and braking for a 235R50/17...
tire is more aggressive than last Dueler A/T, but highway noise is less. Dirt and light mud no problem. Deep mud is as good as can be expected. light snow was no problem, but ice was okay. It is a great tire for all purposes that will last all of 60K miles if anything like my last Dueler A/T. Just wish they had a better load rating. However, not a problem with my 5.5ft bed.

...They were extremely smooth on the highway and adequate everywhere else especially in four wheel drive...
I changed tires because I wanted a better look and winter and off road mud traction. I have to say I actually miss my old tires that still had lots of tread life! I could have easily got 70K miles out of them. They were extremely smooth on the highway and adequate everywhere else especially in four wheel drive. The Toyo tires I put on have been really difficult to get balanced so highway driving has been a let down.

Terrible tread life and awful wet traction. This was the stock tire on my 2017 Sierra Denali Ultimate 4WD 6.2L. Tire has NOT lasted anywhere close to the mileage warranty. I am at 39,000 and the tires are completely bald on the outside tire shoulders (outside edges). Rotated every 5,000 miles or so religiously. The truck is completely stock and has no offroad use. Only pavement and highway driving, with occasional wet grass or dirt when backing a trailer or boat. The ride is great, very quiet and comfortable but I am already at replacement within the manufacture vehicle warranty and the dealer refused to replace or adjust the tires, as did Bridgestone. Good luck getting a call-back response if you inquire about a tread life warranty. Awful traction in any dirt or wet environments or boat ramps. Stay away unless you want new tires every 35,000 miles.

This tire had been nothing short of amazing. I currently have 101,000 miles on them and just now considering replacing them. I did rotate them about every 5,000 to 6,000 miles and I'll replace them with the same tire.

The best wear of any tire that I have ever had and I am no spring chicken. The wear has been incredible. I have 66,000 miles of driving and better than 25,000 miles behind my motor coach and I am still driving as they haven't reached the tread wear yet, but close...
The best wear of any tire that I have ever had and I am no spring chicken. The wear has been incredible. I have 66,000 miles of driving and better than 25,000 miles behind my motor coach and I am still driving as they haven't reached the tread wear yet, but close. I attribute the high mileage to proper inflation, frequent tire rotation and a very good tire.

...80,500 miles and still had 4/32 tread. Winter was just around the corner and I wanted good tread on the ground...
Just put on a new set of Duelers to replace the original tires that came on the truck. 80,500 miles and still had 4/32 tread. Winter was just around the corner and I wanted good tread on the ground. These tires ran primarily highway with about a 10% mix of gravel and were used for off-road (hunting/fishing) as well. The original set were a little loud on deeply stiped road surfaces but the new set is much quieter. I've been buying truck tires for 20 years and have never had a set perform this well. I'm a Bridgestone buyer from here on out.
