Wet traction scores are mostly 9s and 10s, with customers noting confident grip and stability in rain. Hydroplaning resistance also excels, making the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus a reliable all-season choice for crossover/SUVs.

...Traction in snow/rain/ice has been excellent...
Excellent tires so far! We've had a lot of snow/ice here in Chicago and these new tires are the best I've ever had on my 4Runner. Traction in snow/rain/ice has been excellent. Very low road noise. I've been using Michelin but I think the overall quality of the Bridgestones are far better.

...Price, road noise, general feel, dry traction and wet traction are all high points for this tire... again, compared to the OEMs, which are the only other tires I know on this vehicle...
These tires replaced OEM tires for me. Got them from tirerack.com. I've noticed a huge improvement in smoothness and road noise from mile 1 with them. I have driven about 19,000 miles on them so far. In fact, these are a big step up from the OEM Goodyears in every way except one -- treadwear. That has been surprising given their rating. I got 37,000 miles on the OEMs, and it's looking like I'll be lucky to get 27,000 on these. I'm an average driver who always rotates tires at each oil change (5,000 miles).
Price, road noise, general feel, dry traction and wet traction are all high points for this tire... again, compared to the OEMs, which are the only other tires I know on this vehicle. I have very limited experience with these tires on snow and ice -- both by virtue of living near Virginia Beach and my choice to generally avoid those conditions if at all possible in a RWD, high-horsepower, high-torque sport SUV.
The fact that these tires were made in Japan (rather than in the Philippines or in Mexico) is a positive for me. But it's just an impression; I have no proof to back up the notion that there's a measurable difference.
These tires are a joy on road trips -- smooth and quiet -- and have given me much more confidence all-around than the OEMs. I do not regret buying them. That said, I'm seriously looking at the Pirelli Scoprion Verde all-seasons for my next set of tires in the hope that I can find a combination of similar performance & feel with 40,000-mile-plus wear. These -- or the Yokahama Geolandars (if these are sold out) will be my second choice.

...I have commuted to work in snow, in ice, in torrential rains, you name it. They have served me well on a couple of off-road treks with a Boy Scout troop through some swampy terrain as well...
Reported on this tire earlier, but wanted to follow up with high mileage comments. I have now put 63,000 miles on this tire with this truck. I actually used these tires on my previous Ram 1500 for 5,000 miles and insisted they swap the tires onto my new truck at purchase. After 68,000 miles they are finally nearing their end of tread life. I couldn't be more pleased with these Bridgestones. I have commuted to work in snow, ice, torrential rains, you name it. They have served me well on a couple of off-road treks with a Boy Scout troop through some pretty swampy terrain as well. Considering the all season tread, they performed admirably. Gas mileage is exceptional, and they remain very quiet even in their worn state of condition. I would not hesitate to recommend this tire to anyone!

Most customers rate winter traction highly, with scores between 7-10 for snow and deep snow. Ice traction sees mostly 7-8s, indicating reliable all-season performance, though a few lower scores note occasional challenges on ice.

Night and day difference between these and the stock junk Kumhos. Kumhos lasted 20k. These just got put on in NC and I drove to CA through pouring rain snow ice and a white out condition. I do not have AWD and these tires didn't slip once. Great tire. Let's see how long they last.

Been a Michelin customer for many years. Took a chance on the Bridgestone based on reviews of the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus compared to the equivalent Michelin tire. The tire has performed very well overall. Had the Explorer in the snow/ice in 4WD over the Holiday this past year and it was a solid performer on recently plowed, firmly packed snow/ice on the roadbed. No chains were necessary for the whole trip. The tire held beautifully. They are also very predictable on handling/nicely responsive when you need to make quick move. I'm happy that I gave them a chance.

These have an 80k mileage warranty are very sticky, almost like riding on rails, however, they have a decent soft ride, yet if you sneeze they respond. They grip the road exceptionally well...
These tires are on our 07 MB GL450. I was torn between another "value" tire and a good deal on the Continentals OEM. The Conti's wore out like in 15000 miles. I decided not to go with a "value" tire as they have not performed well, nor lasted well, nor have any decent ride quality in this vehicle. (Last value tire was a set of Hankooks) These have an 80k mileage warranty are very sticky, almost like riding on rails, however, they have a decent soft ride, yet if you sneeze they respond. They grip the road exceptionally well. I was considering Bridgestone and Michelin. These were about $200.00 cheaper for the set than the Michelin tires and have 20k more mileage warranty in the same speed rating. I'll report back after they are fully broken in, however, these tires ride beautifully and are very reasonably priced. Just drove 100 miles through a snow storm prior to writing this review... (and its still snowing).

...Much much quieter, smoother ( almost silky feel to driving on this rubber)... and it seems like I can feel the road better through the steering...
When I purchased my Mazda Tribute new in 2011 it came with Micheline Lattitude Tires (235/70R16). Overall the tires seemed fine, but very noisy. I never really knew how bad they were until I replaced the tires with a set of Bridgestone Dueler Alenza Plus tires (same size). What a difference a tire makes? Much much quieter, smoother (almost silky feel to driving on this rubber). I'm not sure if it's the much less road noise, but rolling resistance seems less....and it seems like I can feel the road better through the steering. I cannot compliment Bridgestone enough. Even though they were considerably less expensive than the Micheline's, I would rate them as at least 150% better in the way it feels to drive on them, and all around responsiveness. Definitely a Bridgestone fan going forward.

...handle better than it ever has. Nice stable straight line performance with very good traction and cornering...
I am very impressed initially with these Alenza Plus tires. Makes my 4runner handle better than it ever has. Nice stable straight line performance with very good traction and cornering. Very good at absorbing rough pavement. Maybe the 70 aspect ratio helps there. I had Michelin LTX s on it and got 104,000 miles out of them. They were really good tires but these Alenza's are better. The Michelins were very average handling. They made my truck feel more like a, well, truck. But these Alenzas make it feel more car like in handling. Love them so far.

...Especially comfortable in the ride, much better than Contis. Noise level is also better...
Went from Continental Eco Contacs to this Bridgestone Alenza Plus. I would give the Continentals a solid 8 the Bridgestones ara a solid 9. Especially comfortable in the ride dept, much better than Contis. Noise level is also better. One area the Contis win is in gas mileage, Contis are hard to beat when gas mileage is an issue. One more thing, I got the 255x65x16s for my Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner, much better handling.

...Very smooth ride and very quiet. My last set of Alenzas were good, but not great in the ride and noise department...
Only about 500 miles on these so far, so this is pretty much just initial impressions made to date. This is my fourth set of Duelers, third of which were Alenzas and first of the new Plus series. I had Michelin Latitudes on prior to this current set largely because they were on sale for less than the Alenzas last time around and I figured heck, they're Michelins. What could go wrong? Evidently, alot! Never liked them and couldn't wait to switch back to the Bridhestones!
All of that said, these new Alenzas are the new Plus series. The first plus is they now sport an 800 treadwear rating. They are now a "low rolling resistance" design, so my only concern will be wet traction as they wear. We'll see as wet traction is just fine new. Other impressions so far: very smooth ride and very quiet. My last set of Alenzas were good, but not great in the ride and noise department. The trade off was handling over ride with those. That said, these do seem to have traded off a little bit on the handling and steering response for the improved ride, but they are still light years ahead of the forementioned Michelins in balancing ride and drive characteristics without giving up too much on either one. Our Armada is nice to drive again and we could not be happier at this point! Stay tuned for more reviews after we get some real miles on them.

...They do feel like luxury because they are quiet and they handle confidently on the road. At the very beginning, they did have flat spotting issues that would abate after a few miles down the road...
These have been the best tires I've ever owned. I now have almost made it through the 80k mile tread warranty and the tires are still as smooth and silent as when I first purchased them. They do feel like luxury because they are quiet and they handle confidently on the road. At the very beginning, they did have flat spotting issues that would abate after a few miles down the road and they do seem to lose more air pressure due to temperature swings during season change BUT you'll not complain after taking these bad boys on a trip. I'll be replacing these soon because the very middle of the tread has gotten pretty worn but I'll be putting these on both my vehicles here on out, no question. For reference, rotation every 10k miles has worked well for me. Highly recommend these tires! As I've gotten older, it's been a quest of mine now to find something that works and to just stick with it instead of trying something newer or cheaper. These work guys and you and yours will be satisfied!

LR3s are notorious for eating tires. These may be the best I have ever experienced on any vehicle. I have no cons on this tire. Usually I pick apart products, yet, this one I cannot. Extremely happy with these and would absolutely buy them again. Tire wear is remarkable. Traction is outstanding. I have had theses in dirt and no cuts, rips, etc... Wears evenly, and quiet. Great tire.

...This is my third set on this car and I can usually get 35,000 to 38,000 miles out of a set. After 30,000 miles, I do notice less traction in the snow, but still adequate. Just had the vehicle in for tire rotation at 32,000 miles and the tread depth is about 5/32's of an inch on each tire...
Highly Recommended for ice and snow driving on highways. I like this tire because it handles very well in ice and snow. I live in Denver and drive to the mountains often, so I need a tire that grips well in wet/snowy conditions with relatively steep road grades. I do NOT drive off road, so these tires are only used in HWY/City roads. This is my third set on this car and I can usually get around 35,000 to 38,000 miles out of a set. After 30,000 miles, I do notice less traction in the snow, but still adequate. Just had the vehicle in for tire rotation at 32,000 miles and the tread depth is about 5/32's of an inch on each tire. I do rotate every 5,000 miles or so.
