The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3–AKA the "BFG KO3"—is the 3rd generation of BFGoodrich's legendary Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire engineered for the on and off-road tire needs of dedicated off-roaders like Jeeps, pickup trucks and 4x4 sport utility vehicles. It's built for drivers who want rugged confidence and control no matter where their journey takes them. Following up the wildly-successful All-Terrain T/A KO2, the KO3 has been carefully designed to retain the aggressive (and classic) visual elements of BFGoodrich all terrain tires, while delivering outstanding durability, improved wear-life and traction in all weather conditions—even light snow.

Available in LT fitments, load ranges, and sizes beyond 35 inches, the KO3 features a reformulated cut, chip, and tear-resistant tread compound for greater longevity and durability. Molded into a symmetric footprint designed with a generous amount of void for off-road use, while also optimizing the footprint for more even stress distribution and uniform wear. The interlocking tread blocks are designed to work in concert with one another for stability both on and off the pavement. Broad channels at the shoulders and plenty of void space to redistribute water help maintain control in the wet. The 3-D Locking Sipes are full depth and alongside the Snow/Mud notches, are designed to help drivers find the traction they need in any environment.

The upper shoulder and sidewall feature CoreGuard Technology: a bruise- and split-resistant rubber compound that extends further down the sidewall to protect more of the tire in demanding scenarios. Alternating Shoulder Scoops deliver clawing force for control and traction in sand, dirt, or grueling off-road rock driving during "aired down" adventures, while the Mud Phobic bars keep the tire clear of built-up material so it can perform as intended. And as always, the KO3 is available with raised white sidewall lettering—perfect for making your tires and wheels pop, complementing your truck's paint, or making your classic 4x4 look the part.

Internal construction of the All-Terrain T/A KO3 utilizes a durable, triple-ply polyester casing designed for strength and reliability, along with twin, high-strength steel belts providing a robust foundation for the nylon cap ply offering high-speed capability.

...i had to slam on the brakes in the pouring rain the other day and i was highly impressed with how well they gripped the road...

This tire changed the ride of my vehicle. Bought the car used and it had some brand new tires on it, i had them rebalanced 3 times to get rid of the vibration. Nothing seemed to be working, i eventually gave in and put a new set of tires on the car. I chose the Dueler H/L Alenza after much debate and they have been awesome. When i drove the car home that night i felt like i was riding on glass when going down the interstate. It was night and day and changed the ride. Corners good and i had to slam on the brakes in the pouring rain the other day and i was highly impressed with how well they gripped the road. Great tire would highly recommend and will definetly repurchase hopefully in another 50,000 miles.

These Tires are a great improvement over the stock Goodyear Wranglers. ...Their wet traction is great ( just as good at the Duelers) and their tread wear has been very good...

I installed a set of Dueler A/T's at 35,000 miles and they needed replacing at 95,000 miles, which I was very satisfied with. The Alenza's were a huge change. They have a softer side-wall than the A/T's, and don't have the aggressive tread pattern so they are much quieter and ride better. Their wet traction is great (just as good at the Duelers) and their tread wear has been very good. The tires are barely showing any wear, and I have not had to balance them yet either. I would purchase these again (even though they are expensive.) I can't comment on their off-road ability. They are much better than the stock Goodyear Wranglers that came on the truck and had to be replaced at 35,000 miles because they were very poor in the rain (even with plenty of tread left on them).

Had more snow than expected this past winter and these tires on my 2X4 Ranger were excellent in the snow. I had Michelin ltx m&s on this truck prior and have experienced less hydroplaning and tire slip with the Alenza...

Had more snow than expected this past winter and these tires on my 2X4 Ranger were excellent in the snow. I had Michelin ltx m&s on this truck prior and have experienced less hydroplaning and tire slip with the Alenza. These tires seem to be wearing just as well as the michelin and look great with tire shine. Got these mounted on new wheels, Ultra Nomad from Tirerack and came mounted perfect. The truck rides better and looks great. I get compliments all the time, would definetily recommend this combination for any ranger drivers out there looking to up grade. I hear no road noise with these tires and would recommend these tires for anyone looking for light truck or suv tires.

In the dry these tires have been excellent...

In the dry these tires have been excellent and tread wear is outstanding with over 12,000 miles on them.Have not had a chance to drive them on ice or deep snow yet, but in 2 light snow falls [2-4 in.] have done very well.Overall much better than stock Goodyears.

These tires came with my 2008 Avalanche on 20" rims, brand new in February of 2009. I put about 107,000 miles on these tires before replacing them just a few months ago in December!!!! Amazing. . .NEVER got this many miles out of a set of tires (although never had 20" tires either. They really weren't too good in the snow at all, marginal in the rain but were great in the dry. Ended up purchasing a set of Blizzaks for the winter and am about to buy another set of these tires for the spring/summer/fall months who can argue with 107,000 miles! Just don't use 'em in the snow ;-)

These replaced OEM Michelins. Steering response and stability are much better. The ride feels firmer and more controlled, yet smaller bumps and tar-strips are mostly heard, not felt. Brand new, the tires had the familiar Bridgestone hum, there but not unpleasant. This has diminished with age. Road noise on coarse concrete is substantially less than with the OEM Michelins, a huge factor in the Bridgestones favor. Treadwear after 12K miles seems on the low side (meaning good), but Im guessing 50K of life vs 65K claimed, still very good for V rated tire. Wet handling and braking are superb and a big improvement over the OEMs, as is snow performance. Sure this is AWD, but with the Michelins it didnt handle snow very well for having AWD and the stability control and ABS would kick-in often. With the Bridgestones, routine driving in snow was a snap and you had to push it to engage the stability control and ABS. In fairness to the OEM Michelins, they were a dedicated car tire put on a 4K lb plus SUV. The Bridgestones lost only one round to the OEMs - fuel economy. Ive seen about a 1.0 mpg drop in fuel economy with the Bridgestones. No surpise as CR rated those same OEM Michelins as having the lowest rolling resistance of the tires tested at the time. To conclude, this is a superb tire that is responsive, stable, and quiet and with what appears to be good treadwear. A winner!

Hello,

I could only estimate the 'treadwear' number as I haven't had these tires long enough. My original Michelin's were rotated and the air pressure checked every 5000 miles, but were down to the treadwear indicator at 22,500 miles. Thus, doing the best research I could, decided upon the Dueler Alenzas....and within the first several miles, found them more comfortable. My initial evaluation is that they are certainly better than the Michelins. I would buy them again! With a smile, Randy Sammons

Great tires...smooth & quite..definitly gives my Dakota Sport a luxury ride..I had Big O Big Foot tires on before..which I will never buy again..total crap compared to the Alenzsa...The Alenzas are also way better than the stock Goodyear wranglers which I also will never buy again..I live in Steamboat Springs so I wont use these tires in winter so I dont care about how they perform in snow...theres no such thing as an all season radial where I live..I use the Pirelli scorpions in the winter...used to buy winter duelers but they just wear out too ---- fast...great winter tire but lousy tread life..anyway Im totally sold on the Alenzas ...I dont have to shop around Ill just buy them again..dont pay attention to the negative reviews on these tires..anybody that says they are noisy and lousy handling probably has a crappy ride to blame cuz its not the tires..I couldnt frekin believe how great my ten year old truck handled again..what a world of difference....sweet..sweet..sweet pages of nothing but a 10 rating on these tires...now I know why ....thanks tire rack

...Most amazing part -- nearly 100K miles on the tires -- yup -- factory Michelins went 70K+ before replacement, but the Bridgestone's have well exceeded this -- probably have another 5K left before the wear bars become apparent. I have never had a vehicle that could run a set of tires for so many miles -- typically am replacing tires by 50-60K in the past...

Tires are a bit noisy on my 1998 Subaru Outback wagon. Stiffer sidewalls than the factory Michelins that came on the car make for crisper handling -- definitely can tell what the tires/grip to the road is doing or not -- no sudden grip surprises -- quite linear in the feedback to the driver. Wet traction is quite good, where factory equipped Michelins were only average. Have not driven in heavy or deep snow, so can't rate traction under these conditions. Light snow or packed snow covered roads are no problem at all -- but, this is a Subaru AWD vehicle after all, and has always been very good in the light-medium snow -- say 8 " -- or packed snowy roads. Most amazing part -- nearly 100K miles on the tires -- yup -- factory Michelins went 70K+ before replacement, but the Bridgestone's have well exceeded this -- probably have another 5K left before the wear bars become apparent. I have never had a vehicle that could run a set of tires for so many miles -- typically am replacing tires by 50-60K in the past -- this Subaru has always been easy on the tires, and wears them evenly, per se -- I do rotate the tires front/rear every 15K or so. Except for the ever-present slight tire noise (factory Michelins were very quiet in comparison) probably due to much heavier tire construction, designed for a bigger, heavier SUV vehicle than this 3200 LB Subaru Outback, have been very pleased with these Bridgestone tires.

Wow, this tire is far superior to the stock Goodyears! Dodge would sell a lot more Rams if they came with this tire. The ride and handling are much better. So is cornering. Traction has been great in all conditions including snow. They are holding up very well and treadwear has been what it should be.

...They are wearing good...

While these tires are an improvement in some areas over the OEM Goodyears they suffer from their own set of problems. First is the noise, lots of it. Second is ride quality, they feel like tractor tires. They seem to develop flat spots that may or may not go away on your ride. On the up side they are good in wet and light snow conditions. They are wearing good. There are better options as far as price vs performance are concerned. I think the hype you read about these tires is in part due to the fact they are better than the Goodyears that came on the Pilot. But that bar is not all that high.
