Great tire quality and value. I replaced my entire suspension, and adjusted the alignment before installing these tires, so I can accurately assess these tires. These tires ride comfortably for a 45 series tire, low rolling noise on the highway, great wet road traction, and resistance to hydroplaning (extremely important here in the rainy Pacific Northwest). Although it would be nitpicking, and it would compromise ride comfort a bit, I would like a bit firmer sidewall to reduce slip angle (sidewall flex) during hard cornering through apexes. Otherwise, these are great tires for the street.

I've experienced these tires in all types of weather and they are great. Being Bridgestone RE series tires, it's a given the dry handling would be superb, but they are also very good in the wet. Today I got to experience them in the snow and they are surprisingly good in snow covered and icy road conditions. They're not Blizzaks, but they're quite good. I would definitely recommend these, and in fact, I already have.
BTW... Not sure why it's not listed, but my car is a New Beetle Sport. It's FWD, turbocharged/inter-cooled 150 hp, with traction control and anti-lock brakes. It's the direct predecessor to the Turbo model.

I bought these tires about two weeks before my trip to Georgia and I live in Arizona. I had General G-Max AS 05's on the car prior to the Bridgestones which were very good for my style of driving. As with all NEW tires these were very smooth and quite right off the bat. The more I drove on them I began to realize these were a GREAT tire. We took off on our trip and it was a joy to drive on them. The more I drove the more the tires shinned. I usually drive around 80 MPH, on the interstates, plus or minus,to keep ahead of the trucks. Just outside Fort Worth we ran into a helluva rain storm which lasted until we were on the east side of Dallas. I was running around 75 to 80 to keep up with crazy Texas traffic. The rain was heavy and there was a lot of mist being generated by the traffic ahead of us. The tires were great and I mean it. These are beautiful handling tires and they are also quiet and very comfortable. The tires never broke traction or hydroplaned and I felt very confident while in those bad conditions. As usual, I broke them in gently as I always do and it seems to get me some good mileage out of all the tires I buy. I am 77 yrs. old if you were undering. I do recommend these tires and I will purchase them the next time.

This is a phenomenal tire. My previous BMW had Yokohama UHP tires which were quite stiff but potent but these are stiff in the corners yet provide amazing smoothness and comfort at high speeds while inspiring great confidence.

These brand new tires are absolutely amazing! This new plus (+) model offers enhanced ride comfort, improved snow performance and better treadwear than the Potenza RE980AS I previously had. They have significantly improved in the snow handling and traction department as well. Also, they are more comfortble and have better treadwear when compared to the original model.
Amazingly, even though my vehicle is a Cadillac XTS these tires do the job quite well, even minimizing the noise impact on the road. Surprise, surprise. 😉 My previous set of tires were the original Potenza which were alright, and even before that the Goodyear Eagle Touring is what I used and they were absolutely atrocious in all areas!
So overall this tire is a great new edition and I'm hoping more people get to try and actually review them once they get a chance to try them out. I don't think many people will be disappointed with this new fantastic upgrade. 👍

I have to drive up a hill that is over a mile where it struggled a bit with a few inches of snow but it got me to the top. Overall happy with the purchase as it is able to get me to work with the amount of snow I was expecting in the area.
I purchased these tires as I had moved this vehicle from TX to CO and needed tires that can handle snow from time to time. So far these tires have met my expectations. ...Dry traction is very good; comparable to the michelins i had before...
These tires are pretty good. Steering and on center feel are kind of vague though. They are very stable mid corner once the suspension is set. Very quiet at 70+ on the highway and delivered good fuel economy (28 -30mpg) at 65-75. Dry traction is very good; comparable to the michelins i had before.
Full disclosure, I didnt choose these tires. I got a flat on a business trip and this is the only option the nearest tire store had. But they have worked out well so far.

Overall, I like them better than the Michelins for road noise and dry traction, which is 80%+ of my driving.
Overall I like these tires very much. They are replacing a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons. My only disappointment was the wear. They lasted 35,000 miles, the previous Michelins lasted 50,000. They ride quieter than the Michelins, but don't instill the confidence of the Michelins in the wet. Overall, I like them better than the Michelins for road noise and dry traction, which is 80%+ of my driving.

...The 980AS+ is much much quieter, handles predictably and gives a nice smooth ride...
Vehicle is a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK500 coupe with appprox 38,000 miles on it and we generally replace tires due to time rather than wear. The Bridgestone 980 AS+ replaced a set of Bridgestone Potenza 760’s which were 6 years old (excellent tire especially in the rain). The 980AS+ is much much quieter, handles predictably and gives a nice smooth ride and is also great in the wet. They do flat spot after a few days and it goes away within 3 minutes of driving - no big deal. Have no experience with snow (Florida). Very pleased with the tire and it’s attributes. Previous tires on vehicle were Pirelli P Zero Nero (fine on dry land but terrible in Florida downpours) Michelin pilot sport (edges wore out despite good alignment), Bridgestone 760 ( 2 sets) and now the Bridgestone 980 AS+. Solid choice for Florida cars.

...These tires are remarkably quiet... And yet, the ride comfort has increased dramatically over any of the previous tires I had on this vehicle...
For every vehicle, there is a tire "out there somewhere" that would have to be considered perfect for that vehicle. For this one, the Bridgestone Potenza RE980 AS+ would seem to be that tire. It replaced a previous set from a different manufacturer that had cupped, gotten exceptionally noisy, and was skittish in wet conditions. These tires are remarkably quiet, yet are the best handling tires I have ever had on a vehicle. Grip is tenacious in both dry and wet. And yet, the ride comfort has increased dramatically over any of the previous tires I had on this vehicle.
I never previously would have considered an ultra-high performance all-season tire. And for the most part, that is still true. I get the impression most of them have short tread life, poor mileage and are noisier and less comfortable than I would care for. And for all I know, this tire may or may not hold up favorably against most of them. But again, for this vehicle, it has proven to be perfect.
Supposedly, the '+' designation is for increased snow traction. In Florida, I cannot speak to that. And I haven't had them long enough to comment on tread life - yet. But for what I needed for this vehicle, I feel like I have hit a home run.

...The ride is great, and the dry traction is excellent...
I have had these tires on my 2016 Impala for three years and have been happy with them. The ride is great, and the dry traction is excellent. The few times I have driven in rain here in AZ the tires have performed well with no perceived loss of control or trraction. WIth 28,000 miles I am now down to 5/32 and will need to replace them soon so I did not get the mileage that I expected with a 50K mile tire.

...After nearly 10,000 miles of driving they've only worn 1/32, which again is amazing for a tire this capable...
I purchased the RE980 AS+ because the Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 was back ordered in the size I needed and waiting was not an option. The Bridgestones have been absolutely fantastic!! They match up extremely well with such a capable vehicle (Mustang 2.3L High Performance with Handling Package) and yield nothing for steering feel and handling capability. They are perfect for spirited, aggressive street driving and will tackle a twisty back road with aplomb. Ride comfort is outstanding. Wet grip is relentless - the only hydroplaning I’ve experienced was from hitting a deep puddle at highway speeds (it was dark; I didn’t see it), and even then it was nothing more than an easily recoverable tail wiggle. These tires are startling good in light snow and ice. They aren’t kidding about the M+S rating. After nearly 10,000 miles of driving they’ve only worn 1/32, which again is amazing for a tire this capable. I’ve been a Michelin Guy for years, but I would buy the RE980’s again in a heartbeat. I’m heavily considering these for my 2011 5.0 convertible next Spring.

So I have staggered sizes and cannot rotate. The front tires went 40k with plenty of center tread still available, but the camber wore the insides out. I have same model tire on the rear just different size. At 40k miles, they still have half their tread. No wear on the insides. They've got a lot of life left.
Tires handle excellent. They're quiet and grippy. Do a great job in the wet. I'm normally a Michelin guy but these were on it when I bought the car. I'll continue with these as long as I own the car.

...Treadwear is great, the tread itself is twice deep than OEM Michelins that are total junk in my opinion, barely lasted 15 K vs promised 45 k by manufacturer...
Great tires for Tesla 3 RWD, possibly the most underrated tire for Tesla.Cheaper $250+ than Michelin Pilot sport
Much superior tire than the OEM Michelin
These Bridgestones ride firmer but car feels much more sportier than with OEM.
Surprisingly tire are quieter, eliminate the dive and pitch under hard breaking or acceleration.Reduce the range slightly around 5% ,not big deal for me .The only trade off is the car rides a little too firm but it gives you mach more confidence to drive it hard , great steering response dry traction braking. I have not tested in rain or cold but it is great tire for Southern California weather .I did reduced the recommended PSI from 42 to 40-41makes the rides more pleasant and reduced the harshness. At 42 PSI tires feel overinflated and bouncing all around .Treadwear is great, the tread itself is twice deep than OEM Michelins that are total junk in my opinion , barely lasted 15 K vs promised 45 k by manufacturer...
