The CrossClimate2 is Michelin's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sedans, coupes, station wagons, crossovers and SUVs looking for daily driving comfort combined with confident performance in dry, wet and light snow conditions. The CrossClimate2 is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance and is intended to function as a one-tire solution for drivers that experience all four seasons but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.

Michelin CrossClimate2 Callouts

The CrossClimate2 features Michelin's Thermal Adaptive all-season tread compound molded into a V-Formation directional tread design engineered to deliver dry, wet and wintertime performance. Michelin utilized their PIANO Noise Reduction Tuning which employs advanced tread pattern modeling that helps tune out airborne noise by augmenting tread element geometry and timing variation. Longitudinal dry grip is promoted by the center portion of the tread, with blocks that align with fore and aft forces, increasing uninterrupted block area contact when accelerating or decelerating. Braking traction is further enhanced by V Ramp chamfers molded into the leading and trailing edges of the blocks that increase contact with the road surface under load. Further outboard, the shoulder blocks begin to align laterally with the tread, helping increase cornering forces and control. 3D SipeLock technology integrated into the tread, supports block rigidity for confident handling while also increasing traction in inclement weather. The steep angles designed into the tread pattern help channel water away from the contact patch, increasing hydroplaning resistance without the need for circumferential grooves. This grooveless pattern evens out load forces to benefit wear characteristics, while creating more biting area for wintertime traction. Snow performance is further enhanced by the Thermal Adaptive Tread compound, ensuring the tire remains flexible at lower temperatures for increased snow traction sufficient to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Internal construction of the CrossClimate2 consists of a two-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement is added to further enhance high speed stability and performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Bridgestone Reviews

Owners report excellent dry traction with consistent 9-10 ratings for confident cornering and responsive handling, along with outstanding wet grip and hydroplaning resistance. Winter performance earns praise for light snow capability, though some note reduced confidence on ice. Ride comfort receives strong marks for smoothness, complemented by low noise levels that enhance daily driving. Treadwear ratings cluster in the 8-10 range, suggesting durable performance for an ultra-high-performance all-season tire. While a few users mention slightly quicker wear under aggressive driving, most consider it a well-rounded choice delivering year-round capability without sacrificing sporty feel.

...It hasn't snowed yet in Upstate NY, but these tires really grip in the wet - especially during downpours...

These tires are excellent & fit without issue on my wife's '20 WRX Premium. HUGE ride & handling improvement over the factory sport tires that came on the car. We have a lot of potholes & rough roads, but you can tell there's a better tire under you while driving & riding. We also travel a lot of back roads through farm country without issue.
It hasn't snowed yet in Upstate NY, but these tires really grip in the wet - especially during downpours. Great price, super fast shipping, and no issue with install or operation (no rubbing or scraping in tight turns or bumps).
Thanks Tire Rack!

...Good wet traction, good cornering ability, and good dry stopping and wet stopping...

These tires are decent so far. Good wet traction, good cornering ability, and good dry stopping and wet stopping. Not too bad noise wise either. My tires are rotated ever 5K. Hoping these last longer than my last set of Bridgestone which was 20K.

...Today I got to experience them in the snow and they are surprisingly good in snow covered and icy road conditions. They're not Blizzaks, but they're quite good...

I've experienced these tires in all types of weather and they are great. Being Bridgestone RE series tires, it's a given the dry handling would be superb, but they are also very good in the wet. Today I got to experience them in the snow and they are surprisingly good in snow covered and icy road conditions. They're not Blizzaks, but they're quite good. I would definitely recommend these, and in fact, I already have.

BTW... Not sure why it's not listed, but my car is a New Beetle Sport. It's FWD, turbocharged/inter-cooled 150 hp, with traction control and anti-lock brakes. It's the direct predecessor to the Turbo model.

...Being in North Texas i have yet to encounter any snowy conditions with these tires.

This is my favorite tire I have ever had. This tire has an extremely quite ride. The wet traction is outstanding as well. I have used the Launch control while on a wet surface and didn't get much if any spin at all. I have about 8k on the tires and they still look pretty new and have even wear. I strongly recommend this tire. Being in North Texas i have yet to encounter any snowy conditions with these tires.

...Dry traction is very good; comparable to the michelins i had before...

These tires are pretty good. Steering and on center feel are kind of vague though. They are very stable mid corner once the suspension is set. Very quiet at 70+ on the highway and delivered good fuel economy (28 -30mpg) at 65-75. Dry traction is very good; comparable to the michelins i had before.

Full disclosure, I didnt choose these tires. I got a flat on a business trip and this is the only option the nearest tire store had. But they have worked out well so far.

The tires are fair to good. Dry traction , wet traction, and steering responsiveness is good. They also look nice on the car. Tread wear has been acceptable but I have not put many miles on the tires. My main issue is how spongy the tires feel when cornering. It’s not a comforting feeling. I will likely not buy again for that reason.

...After 15,000 miles of hard driving on the Potenza's I'm still running with 3/4 tread...

I love Potenza tires. I've tried other brands, but keep going back to these. They hang onto the road like a dag on a sheep's butt. When cornering hard (very hard ;) ), they refuse to let go. The Potenzas also give you fair warning if you get to their breaking point with some audible complaining. Even when you push them beyond their holding capacity, they won't just let go completely. If you lose control with these tires, you're doing some pretty stupid -!

I've had other tires that perform as well, but after 20,000 miles, they are balder than Dwayne Johnson under an epileptic barber. After 15,000 miles of hard driving on the Potenza's I'm still running with 3/4 tread.

Love 'em.

These are better than the MOE issued tires from the manufacturer. It's night and day. Affordability, comfort, and response are improved. It's 500 tread wear and I'm expecting long life compared to 260 from Pirellis. Don't be hesitant. These are great for daily driving.
