Best all season tire I've had in a long time. Love these. Amazing wet traction, they stick so well while cornering as hard as i can that the stability control kicks in before the traction control even thinks about it , Hydroplaning resistance is very good up to 2 inches of standing water. Once it gets over 2" i have to stick to under 55. Today i finally got to try the snow. They do ok for an all season, if it's more than 3 inches deep and you don't have AWD, I'd recommend staying home with these. They accelerated great but stopping was a little iffy and cornering was safe if you kept your speed down. I would be interested to see what they with an AWD car though. But for my little fwd I'm ready to get my Blizzaks back on asap so I can get back out there and play some more. I will be buying these Potenza AS for my spring summer fall tires though for as long as bridgestone keeps making them. I just hope they start offering them in smaller sizes soon. I'm fortunate my car takes the smallest size they offer at the moment but have another car i would love to put a set on but it takes smaller tires. (If any of you remember the old Lee Turbo action radial tires and miss them and have complained for 20 years about them not being around anymore, you'll love these potenza AS)

I bought these to replace my OE tires on my MK7 GTI and I cannot believe the difference! If I would have known how much better the performance would be I would have scrapped the OE tires years ago! Under heavy acceleration in both wet and dry conditions the tires barely slip, almost no traction control engagement. On my last tires I had to heavily back off the gas due to low traction that made the tires hop. The tires have strong handling and overall a great fit and feel with the GTI. I had no issues in the first light snow of the season. I will update as I experience more snow and get more miles to judge the wear. Highly recommend so far!

...The dry/wet traction has been very good, and they ride better and are quieter than the OEM Michelins on the GR86...

After about 3 months of driving and a little over 1,000 miles on the Potenza Sport AS, I am very happy with how well matched they are to the car for daily driving. The dry/wet traction has been very good, and they ride better and are quieter than the OEM Michelins on the GR86. The real star of the show for me is the steering response which is quick, linear, and nicely weighted. I've also been happy with how they look on the car, and the high-contrast features on the sidewall really make the tire look premium.

Looking forward to seeing how these perform as it gets colder and monitoring the wear over time.

...Grippy in all conditions - including in snow...

I’ve been running them on my BMW X3 for over a year in the upper Midwest. Pro’s: Grippy in all conditions - including snow. No complaints in that department. So far they’ve been wearing evenly/well with regular tire rotations. Con’s. Noisy at highway speeds. Your steering will be much more sensitive (annoyingly so) for a long time until they thoroughly break in. My gas mileage decreased by 10% over the Michellins I was running before.

...Dry and wet conditions the tires shine...

Absolutely love this tire on my GR86. I stepped down in diameter and up in section width from the OE fitment, and it seems like these should have been the sizes from the beginning. The noise and ride are significantly better than the OE Michelins while the steering response is perfectly tuned for this car. Dry and wet conditions the tires shine. Haven't had a chance yet to personally drive them in light snow. Look of the tires is very premium with the high contrast lettering. Overall an excellent sport all season tire.

Initial impressions on the tire that replaced my Pilot Sport All Season 3+.

The tire is very grippy in a straight line and around corners. The TDI is a very torquey motor with an open diff and the Potenza Sports never really struggled to get grip. Around long corners, the tire settles in nicely with a lot of grip. In heavy braking, the car rarely needed to get into ABS. However, that stickiness has a downside, and it's rolling resistance. I saw my highway mpg drop from 42-44 down to 39-40 on my normal commute. If you're using this as a winter option for a sports car that's probably acceptable. But if you're trying to make a daily driver year round sporty, it's too much of a loss to stomach. The tire is also a bit numb on center and doesn't give a ton of feedback.

Rain grip was phenomenal, although I was coming off a very worn set of Pilot Sport AS 3+'s, so anything would have been an improvement. I was able to drive through some very deep puddles at speed without the car getting upset.

Depending on the quality of the pavement, the tire could get very noisy. Especially on grooved concrete above 60mph, there was a growling resonance that was very noticeable. They also really wanted to get out of round when the sat for a while (like over the weekend) and required a couple miles to warm up and round of the flat spots, especially when it was cold.

Also on the highway, the tire wanted to follow grooves and required a lot of steering input to track straight.

Overall, I'm not incredibly thrilled with the tires, but I'll stick with them through the rest of the break-in period and update if anything chagnes.

Responsive and tracks extremely straight.
Very predictable and linear in transition.
Low speed ride is harsh compared to previous Pirelli A/S plus. Smooths out at highway speeds.
Also, very quiet at highway speeds, where it matters most as Jetta Sport is a bit low on sound deadening.

...Minimal but fairly unnoticeable sidewall roll yet retains a comfortable straightline ride over questionable asphalt surfaces and even some cush on a gravel road when needed...

At 39k miles, Im already on my 3rd set of tires on this car. I selected "Autocross/Track" because of how I use this car; its mostly aggressive back mountain road cornering on fun drives (15-30mph consecutive curves) or its the occasional behaved, longer road trip. This is my Appalachia sports car, that can also make the 2 mile dirt road mountain trek back up to our house. The car originally came shod with Conti Cross-Contacts AS run-flats, which cornered well but were hard & transmitted a bit of road surface noise. The 2nd set were Firestone Firehawk AS, which offered a respectable ride, but excessive sidewall roll entering an corner. They actually had a hitch mid corner entrance, going off center, to where they would retain traction at the contact patch but would flop the sidewall over hard. Good Mom car tire, not good for the WV mountain slayer. I changed up the size, from the stock 235/60-18 to these Potenzas in a 245/55-18, which increased width by about 1/2" and decreased overall height by about 1/2".

The Potenza AS is a cornering fool with no transition from off center to mid corner. Minimal but fairly unnoticeable sidewall roll yet retains a comfortable straightline ride over questionable asphalt surfaces and even some cush on a gravel road when needed. Hard acceleration might give a momentary quip from the rears from a dead stop, but otherwise both ends are always glued on dry asphalt. Braking performance feels initially muted but its still there. I generally park this car for winter & it minimally sees rain due to the dirt mountain roads I have to drive to get home turning muddy, but the few wet roads these tires have seen, theyve offered up good traction though I dont push the envelope on wet asphalt. Looks wise, the tread initially struck me as a little less track worthy than I was expecting (like an A/T) but once mounted they look great including the premium looking sidewall.

Highly recommend.

Outstanding steering feel and grip for an all-season! The steering comes alive with talkative feedback and makes driving a joy at all speeds!

I previously had Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus, and those tires made the steering numb and lifeless. Potenza Sport AS is night-and-day better! I could tell the difference after driving 100 yards from the tire shop.

...Good for around 75K miles... I find that rotating every 20K really helps maintain the 70,000+ lifetime I expect, and achieved with the 2015 Honda...

I had the same make/model tries on my 2015 Honda Sport. Good for around 75K miles.
As soon as I hit the road with this new set last month, I was reminded of the road noise transmitted into the cab. You feel every crack and seam in the road. Maybe a harder compound or stiffer sidewalls? That's the drawback for me.
Other than that, I purchased these again because of the overall performance and longevity of these tires in the past. The wet traction is very good as is the resistance of hydroplaning.
I find that rotating every 20K really helps maintain the 70,000+ lifetime I expect, and achieved with the 2015 Honda.
Of course Tire Rack has been my go to for years. Simple, fast, competitive pricing. Never an issue here.

my car came stock with the Perelli P Zero. At 22,000 miles they were down to the wear bars. I decided to try the Bridgestone, even though there were no reviews. With only 1k miles on them I'm very happy with them. I feel like the Pirellis had slightly better grip in the corners. However, I bought these because of the higher treadlife so hopefully that proves out. I recommend these.

...Same goes for treadwear, they last a little better than the Michelins but not quite as long as the Continentals. That being said, the Continentals see massive drops in performance as tread depth lessens, where these Bridgestones only see minimal performance loss with tread loss...

I rated this tire taking in to account the fact that it's an all season tire not a dedicated summer or winter tire, so keep that in mind when viewing my 1-10 ratings. Spirited is an understatement for my driving style btw lol. For an UHP all season tire it performs pretty much as expected. It's not the best in wet, dry, or slick conditions, but it is a very capable tire in all conditions. As far as wet/dry performance goes, it's on par with the best UHP A/S tires, I'm talking Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 and Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06+. I'd say performance wise it falls somewhere between those 2. Same goes for treadwear, they last a little better than the Michelins but not quite as long as the Continentals. That being said, the Continentals see massive drops in performance as tread depth lessens, where these Bridgestones only see a minimal performance loss with tread loss. These do become a little more susceptible to hydroplaning as tread depth gets below the halfway point though, but nothing major. I have never used a dedicated winter tire to compare these to, and these only briefly saw a little bit of slick roads. They held up well for being an all season, grip was predictable even if not the greatest. When they did slide a bit, they were quick to grip back up and maintain course without fuss. I have zero complaints with these tires, they do exactly what they are supposed to do as an all season tire and they do it very well. I already bought another set to put on when my current summer tires wear out (Bridgestone Potenza Sports). I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a high performance all season tire if cost isn't an issue. Price is probably the only real drawback with these, but you get what you pay for. Also, unrelated, Tirerack stands by their road hazard coverage. I had a screw in the sidewall of one of these that couldn't be repaired and Tirerack covered the replacement. All in all, I'd say 4.8 out of 5 stars for these tires.
