The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3–AKA the "BFG KO3"—is the 3rd generation of BFGoodrich's legendary Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire engineered for the on and off-road tire needs of dedicated off-roaders like Jeeps, pickup trucks and 4x4 sport utility vehicles. It's built for drivers who want rugged confidence and control no matter where their journey takes them. Following up the wildly-successful All-Terrain T/A KO2, the KO3 has been carefully designed to retain the aggressive (and classic) visual elements of BFGoodrich all terrain tires, while delivering outstanding durability, improved wear-life and traction in all weather conditions—even light snow.
Available in LT fitments, load ranges, and sizes beyond 35 inches, the KO3 features a reformulated cut, chip, and tear-resistant tread compound for greater longevity and durability. Molded into a symmetric footprint designed with a generous amount of void for off-road use, while also optimizing the footprint for more even stress distribution and uniform wear. The interlocking tread blocks are designed to work in concert with one another for stability both on and off the pavement. Broad channels at the shoulders and plenty of void space to redistribute water help maintain control in the wet. The 3-D Locking Sipes are full depth and alongside the Snow/Mud notches, are designed to help drivers find the traction they need in any environment.
The upper shoulder and sidewall feature CoreGuard Technology: a bruise- and split-resistant rubber compound that extends further down the sidewall to protect more of the tire in demanding scenarios. Alternating Shoulder Scoops deliver clawing force for control and traction in sand, dirt, or grueling off-road rock driving during "aired down" adventures, while the Mud Phobic bars keep the tire clear of built-up material so it can perform as intended. And as always, the KO3 is available with raised white sidewall lettering—perfect for making your tires and wheels pop, complementing your truck's paint, or making your classic 4x4 look the part.
Internal construction of the All-Terrain T/A KO3 utilizes a durable, triple-ply polyester casing designed for strength and reliability, along with twin, high-strength steel belts providing a robust foundation for the nylon cap ply offering high-speed capability.
NOTE: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

All-Terrain Tires Off-Road – 2025 Test 9(17:52)
In a Tire Rack first, we took popular On-Road, Off-Road, and Rugged All-Terrain, as well as Off-Road Max Traction tires, to an off-road driving park to see how these categories compare off the beaten path! As we continue to expand our testing program, we are working towards a full-scale off-road portion that aligns with the objective and subjective format of our road-focused testing. In the meantime, there’s no time like the present to kick up some dust and get a feel for these tires in an off-road environment. So, join us as TJ and Brent take a subjective ride in the sand, across river rock, and attempt a hill climb!
User feedback reveals the Bridgestone Potenza Sport excels in dry traction with consistent 9-10 scores, delivering sharp steering and confident cornering. Wet traction also impresses, with most ratings in 8-10 range and strong hydroplaning resistance. Comfort receives positive marks for ride quality, though some note moderate road noise. Treadwear shows mixed results-many report solid longevity for a summer tire, but several lower scores (2-4) highlight variability depending on driving style. Designed for max performance summer use, it meets expectations in key areas while maintaining acceptable comfort, though aggressive drivers may see faster wear.

...The uni-directional tread pattern shoot waters like a fire hose, letting you glide through puddles w/o hesitation, and float like baby ----- above water. Braking grip in the wet is terrifyingly stable- no aquaplaning, zero drama. I've lapped tracks in 40mm downpours & still felt like the road was paved with glue once they warmed up...
Potenza Sports are absolute monsters on the track, especially in conditions where most tires fold. I guess if you live in a warm-summer Mediterranean climate in Italy literally named: Potenza, where they have dry summers & only wet winters— we'd probably come up w/ a tire that asks, "WTF is snow?", but if we asked, "Wet handling?" 🌊🤌🏼
These Tires Speak the Language of Rain. The uni-directional tread pattern shoot waters like a fire hose, letting you glide through puddles w/o hesitation, and float like baby ----- above water. Braking grip in the wet is terrifyingly stable—no aquaplaning, zero drama. I’ve lapped tracks in 40mm downpours & still felt like the road was paved with glue once they warmed up. Michelin PS4S can’t touch them in this category—Potenzas are at least a full rating class above in wet grip. The soaking wet reality, lb for lb— Potenzas > all Summer performance tires for wet conditions.
Dry Performance? They’re still sharp w/ excellent steering feedback & predictable limits. They bite so aggressively that you can feel the rubber burning at 50°C track temps, and they hold their composure longer than most. The dry grip isn’t elite (10/10) for summer tires, but for a tire that dominates like this in rain, it’s a fair trade.
Track Versatility & Heat Resistance? Check ✅ Tread life? Yeah, it’s not Michelin levels of durability that's for sure, but whether you’re track-daying on a broiling Saturday or hammering through sleet, these tires STAY CONSISTENT. They warm up quickly & never release grip under intense load—until the rubber’s smoked, anyway.
Bottom Line ▸ If you want track-ready wet mastery, these are it.Dry-focused drivers? Go for a dedicated summer tire. But If your heart races when it rains & you crave precision under pressure try 'em out, cause these are the only summer tires that’ll make you look back all those cloudy days & wonder— how you ever hated driving in the rain. 🚗🌧️

...They've been really good in wet conditions as well. In short, they perform the way I would expect from a summer performance tire...
I love driving my car with these tires, especially on the curvy roads and sharp corners on my way to work! No matter how fast I take turns or how hard I accelerate, these tires haven't broken traction. They've been really good in wet conditions as well. In short, they perform the way I would expect from a summer performance tire. Driving has been so much fun with them and I miss them already. Sadly, I've had to put on the snow tires, so I was only able to put 250 miles on them before I put them away for the winter. I bought them to replace my Bridgestone Potenza S4 Pole Positions, and these certainly don't disappoint! I got a good price for them with the instant rebate ($110 of a set of 4 tires), which was a bonus. I can't speak to how they wear, since I didn't put many miles on them. If they're anything like my old ones, I'll get maybe 6 seasons out of them.

...Fine ride quality, very predictable responsiveness/handling, and almost endless grip in dry conditions. I would consider these a better choice, for spirited driving, than the Michelin PS4S (which is older, but very highly rated)...
As performance tires for a sportscar, these have been flawless. Fine ride quality, very predictable responsiveness/handling, and almost endless grip in dry conditions. I would consider these a better choice, for spirited driving, than the Michelin PS4S (which is older, but very highly rated). These Potenza Sports remind me of the old S-O2 tires (for folks who remember those). This is just a modern equivalent, with the outright grip of an RA-1. Really great performance tire for the street. I have not tried them on the track yet.

this Bridgestone PS tire is Excellent on Dry and is one of the best tire I used so far, on Wet they are amazing as well, the tire Grip is awesome, sometime I drive aggressive on turns & cornering and this tire have no problem keeping up with no flexing on tire wall period, so far upgrade done to my car is KYB sport struts & shocks, Cusco F & R sway bar everything keep the car flat on during any turns, upgrade Dixcel type-M brake pad & high carbon cryo rotors F & R for better braking power if needed stop asap, just make sure nobody is behind that's all, the comb of WebsSport TC105X rim + Bps tire weight at 29lb, I believe current set up now can keep up with a Porsche on all turns on track, only thing weak now is oem springs and will upgrade to Bilstein B14 or Ohlins suspension in the near future, the tire noise is a bit louder then I would like on high way driving, as for tire wear is so far so good

...Cornering grip not as good with Bridgestones, but much, much less road noise. I was willing to give up a little performance for much greater comfort...
Replaced original Pirelli P Zeros with Bridgestone Potenza Sport. The Bridgestones have lasted twice as long as the P Zeros did. Cornering grip not as good with Bridgestones, but much, much less road noise. I was willing to give up a little performance for much greater comfort. I just ordered a new set again.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport are an improvement in every evolutionary way over the Potenza Sport S-03 Pole Position (and RE780) with their ultra responsive turn in/steering. The new tires are as quiet as the venerable PZero Nero in the beginning with their stated 72dB rating sticker which is a must on a convt top up or down. Tires on a car are as important as speakers to a stereo system. Impressed in Socal.

...They look good, ride well, stick to the road, and are quiet...
I decided to try this tire as a replacement for the KUMHO tires on the car when I bought it. They were hard and had aged out, although they had low mileage. Since my car has larger rear Fuchs (8") vs the stock 7" I needed a tire that had the correct size for the larger Fuchs rim. It was between this and a Pirelli. I decided to give the Bridgestone a try. So far I am very impressed! They look good, ride well, stick to the roadl, and are quiet. We'll see how they wear over time. Since this isn't a daily driver, I suspect I won't get the full use of the tire over the next 6 years or so. Give them a try. Even my mechanic was impressed with them! And, the help, advice and recommendation from the Tire Rack staff was greatly appreciated.

...So far I've been very happy with them. Great traction and cornering in the dry, not too noisy, more comfortable than I expected (although not Michelin comfy)...
These were rated within 3% of the top of the line Michelin's when I bought them, for about 1/2 the price. So far I've been very happy with them. Great traction and cornering in the dry, not too noisy, more comfortable than I expected (although not Michelin comfy). They're good in the wet, and do a pretty good job of not yanking the wheels and car sideways through deep puddles. I'm running 245/40's on some 18x9 wheels, and towards the extreme limits of cornering the sidewalls do lean more than I'd like. So next time I'd either go with 245/35's or 235/40's to keep that from happening. But the extra sidewall does make 98% of the driving around MA more comfortable, and they've definitely protected my rims very well. For the price I don't think these can be beat for the price I got them, although if they come within $100 of a set of Michelin's, I'd buy the Michelin's.

...Great wear characteristics and pretty quiet, so far...
Two track days with 3 wet sessions one day, one Autocross day, 1,000 miles total before the all-seasons went on. Great tire for daily driving and light track work. Surprisingly, excellent wet traction and feel. Great wear characteristics and pretty quiet, so far. Really fine all-around summer tire. I’m a huge Michelin PS4S fan, but this Potenza Sport tire is better on the track than the Michelin. Sidewall is firm and feels great under hard braking and side-to-side transitions. The PS4S is the slightly superior street tire. Excellent value! I didn’t need a 200TW and this tire earns my top marks for a 300TW class.

Tires work great for spirited driving, will purchase again for autocross / track days. However, for everyday driving driving these tires will not last more than 10,000 miles. I'm on my second set in a years time. At first I thought it was my driving style so I monitored closely on the second set. 10,000 miles and (1) track day later, I am now looking for another set of tires. Longevity, very poor.... Disappointed in a non the least very good performance tire.
