Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus 

I generally know which tire I want. But this time I played with the tire selection guide and went with their pick (Continental Pro Contact XL) for my first generation Odyssey van. My selection turned out to be their one and only pick! Never-the-less, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised with how well the tire complements my vehicle.

Right off I noticed turn-in was significantly improved (steering response that is). The tires worked well in heavy rain at highway speeds. There was no sense of hydroplaning or traction loss in heavy rain. They also gave a great ride. And for being all season tires, they were quiet, too.

While I have studded snows for winter, I went for all season capability feeling it provides some insurance if I get caught out before getting the snows on.

Anyway, these are initial impressions from 2000+mostly highway miles. I do track day instruction so I tend to be pretty sensitive to tires and how they perform. At this point I'm really pleased and still a bit surprised at how well these seemingly plain Jane tires perform on my van.

Great tire for dry and wet conditions. Reasonably quiet as well - as quiet as I'd expect for an economy car. These tires are better quality than the usual original equipment tires.

I live in Minnesota so all season means regular snow in the winter. These are adequate in very light snow, but practically useless in anything more than a light dusting. If conditions allow the tread to break through and hit pavement, then they work fine. But if the surface is only snow or ice, they are similar to a hockey puck as far as traction is concerned. I'd only consider these all season M&S for the southern 2/3 of the US at best.

Came from the factory on my 2012 Civic EX-L sedan. Tire performed well in my experience driving in Southeast Texas. Wet traction was no concern, and when approaching the limits during cornering, the tires would warn you well in advance. This was my first economy car, so I'm not sure how much to blame the vehicle itself, but the noise does seem to be becoming louder as the tires wear, and it can be a bit annoying (since about 20,000 miles) with the highway humming of the tires. I've never seen any tire damage, and somehow haven't picked up a single nail with any of the four tires during their lifetime (a personal first). From about 30,000 miles, the tire tread is low enough to make me lose some confidence in their wet-weather handling, and they'll certainly need replacing by 35,000 miles. I'd consider buying these tires again, if only for the good traction and apparent ability to not pick up much road debris.

Best tires I've owned, grip and handling great, they wear accordingly though.

When I picked up my car, CPO from the dealer, last December, it had a half-worn set of these on it. They had a noisy, harsh ride that only got worse with further wear. Road noise would vary, depending on the particular paving material and grade of surface. Only a brand-new blacktop surface would give a quiet ride, everything else created noise, some to the extent that I thought there was something mechanically wrong with the car. Dry traction was very good, wet traction was good, but there was always the underlying feeling that the car was just about to break away. Snow traction was bad, ice traction was horrendous. I couldn't get these off the car fast enough. If it's ONLY for fair, dry weather and they're the cheapest you can get, go ahead and grab a set of these. Otherwise, they are NOT recommended.

These tires came with my V60 from the dealer. I am quite satisfied with them overall and it will be hard to not buy they again as I know how they perform. Being a low profile tire I was not looking for a super silent ride and on the highway at 80+ miles per hour they are very quiet. I am sure there are other tires that are quieter, but, these have performed well. Dry traction is very good. I have a modified suspension and these tires have not slipped once in a high speed turn or off ramp. We traction we also very good with deep water the only thing causing be any problems. Light snow traction seems to be pretty good. I have driven through a mix of fresh snow and slushy snow and have not gotten stuck. I even took my tire chains off and got around. Deep snow, well, the car only has 5 inches or so of ground clearance so I am not going to try that; that's want the XC60 is for. Finally, these tires are VERY comfortable and this feature is what I would consider most when selecting another tire when these finally wear down. Very hard to pass up, for me. The tire is a solid choice for my style of car.

These tires came with my 2018 Audi A4 allroad, Premium Plus auto. The ride was smooth, comfortable and it absorbed bumps pretty good. I will admit that I didn't do the tire rotations as scheduled. The front tires wore out at 36,000 miles but the rear tires were still good. I would recommend these tires but also, do your routine maintenance.

Installed on my Mercedes w221 4matic. Hands down the Best tires for this car and in MO. Prior set was Contiprocontact 2 summer tires they were awesome in summer and were not a problen in Boston winters too. But these all season tires are very good both dry and wet. Snow traction is equally good. Road comfort is awesome with very low noise. I highlt recommend these on Mercedes 4mayics.

OEM tire on my Escape. When the tires were new they did great in the snow last year. Now with 36k on them the tread is down to about half at 5/32". This year they are giving me real problems with traction in all types of snow and slush. With the tread half gone there are very few sipes left to aid with the snow. I really feel dangerous in the snow with them now. I slid off of the road the other day and had to get winched out. I may buy them again but use them only for non-snow/slush/ice days. In other words, I will have Blizzaks come next year.

Other than the snow performance now they have been great and the treadwear has been great. I rotate them every 5k, "x" one time, and front-to-back the next. They are still quiet given their age and they are wearing evenly, as I adjust the tire pressures every time we change seasons & average temperatures.

These tires are great in for the Desert Southwest...no snow. In New England and everywhere else, they ----. They came stock on my Escape. They have surprisingly good traction on the dry pavement and are OK in the rain...but that is where all positivity ends. My first trip onto a dirt road in good shape resulted in a flat just 5 minutes in. These tires supremely ---- in the winter...got buried a few times this winter and needed to be pushed and shoveled out...very not cool with a 4X4 vehicle. Since at 25,000 miles the tires are nearly down to the wear bars already, at least you can just have a burnout in the snow without regrets! You don't even need to hold the brake. Just hit the gas and you will spin out what is left of your tread in no time flat...it's not like the tires will get you moving anyways! A great smoke show along with the burning rubber smell!!! If you have an Escape, upsize the tires and get 235/60R17. It is a tight fitment but little to no rubbing of the wheel wells. Well worth it and you can get BF Goodrich Long Trails or even Cooper AT/3's. Then you can go in the woods all your want and hardly ever get stuck.

These tires did not survive the '14 - '15 winter in PA. Weak sidewalls. 3 out of 4 tires ruined by potholes. 1 of the 3 with a dime sized hole where the tread meets the sidewall. This tire was a replacement for one ruined last winter. Road hazard warranty on the new tire NOT honored due to tread wear at 8/32" on a tire less than a year old with less than 8,000 miles on it. The other 2 tires have 2" diameter bubbles in the sidewalls. 1 of these has 2 bubbles. I'm now replacing all four tires with a different brand.

These tires were OE at time of purchase. Although I can appreciate the handling with the tires, I am quite unhappy with the tread wear. At 27k I'm already looking for a new set. Live in S Fla, where the summers are hot, wet and endless, and I feel that these tires are not the best choice for extreme heat. Sure 'the traction is good, but at a cost. The softer rubber, although more tacky, just melts away on our hot streets. As for our "cold" snaps.. The tires do not perform well at all at temps below 60f.. They feel hard, jittery and lose quite a bit of air pressure.. Just don't like this tire.

These were OE tires on my 2010 Subaru Outback. I'll say that performance wise these tires did just fine and the treadwear was very good still showing 6/32 at 38k. However, at about 24k miles our Subaru began to shake at highway speeds. I went through all, sorts of diagnosis of the wheels, suspension and tires. Turns out these tires had become so misshaped that they would no longer balance. I've tried two separate shops, one with very advanced equipment to get these tires balanced with no success. So with 6/32 treadwear remaining I'm having to buy new tires plus I've spent $150 out of pocket on unseccessful balances. I contacted Conninental about the issue only to be told the tires only had a 1yr warranty. If you want to endure shaking at highway speeds and then replace tires that are only 50% worn then these tires are for you. I'll never buy Contis again.

I have 2012 OEM Honda Odyssey with Conti ProContact. This tire supposedly can drive for 50k miles and good tire, but 37,5K mile already worm out. I replace with Conti True Contact has more mileage about 90k and good in braking than Michelin Defender and Primacy.
