The CrossContact LX25 is Continental's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers and small SUVs who want a comfortable, luxurious ride combined with confident, all-season capability. The CrossContact LX25 is designed to provide a smooth, quiet ride plus crisp handling and sure-footed traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
Continental's Next Generation EcoPlus+ Technology compound is molded into the CrossContact LX25's symmetric tread pattern. Comfort Ride Technology places an absorption layer below the tread to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride without sacrificing steering response, and the continuous circumferential ribs help reduce tread noise. The Next Generation EcoPlus+ Technology tread compound helps extend tread life and reduce stopping distances in wet conditions, while the wide, circumferential grooves allow water to flow through the footprint to enhance hydroplaning resistance. Lateral and diagonal sipes provide biting edges for traction in slippery conditions, and Traction Grooves feature biting teeth to trap snow and create snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the CrossContact LX25 utilizes a polyester cord body supporting two heavy-duty, steel belts. The spirally wound, polyamide reinforcement helps stabilize the footprint to provide high-speed capability and handling, and the Comfort Ride Technology absorption layer is located above the reinforcement to maximize ride quality.

All-Season vs. All-Weather Tires: What’s the Best Touring Tire for Premium CUVs? – 2024 Test 2 – With Winter Update (22:11)
We’ve tested Touring All-Season tires before, but never like this! Eight Touring tires, the best of the best, both 3PMSF branded [all-weather] and traditional all-season options, take to the street and the track to see how they stack up. Using our new Alfa Romeo Stelvio to represent the popular CUV segment, TJ and Brent put these eight contenders through the paces on the road, on the track, and in the winter elements to get a read on what to consider when comparing all-weather vs. all-season tires.
Drivers consistently rate the Continental CrossContact LX25 as an excellent all-season choice for crossovers and SUVs, with standout scores (9-10) in comfort, smooth ride quality, and low noise levels. Treadwear receives strong praise, with many noting consistent performance over time. Winter traction impresses in snow and slush, while wet grip and hydroplaning resistance earn high marks for confident handling. Dry traction and responsive steering round out its strengths, described as reliable and precise. A few isolated lower scores in icy conditions don’t detract from its overall reputation as a well-rounded, dependable tire for year-round driving.

...Wet traction is excellent...
Replaced Hankook summer performance tires that came on my2023 Edge ST at 5000 miles. Have 5000 on the Continentals now. They are much more responsive, especially in light snow. Wet traction is excellent. Road noise is minimal. The Edge ST is s performance SUV, and these tires accentuate the capabilities of the vehicle. I purchased them based on the Contis on my wife's Honda that have been superb since we put them on. Also, partly on the tire test for SUVs on the Tire Tack web site last fall. They are a great match for this SUV.

...They are outstanding for light and moderate snow, excellent wet tractions and hydroplane avoidance...
I had previously purchased a set of Crosscontact LX25s for another SUV we owned. They are outstanding for light and even moderate snow, excellent wet tractions and hydroplane avoidance. These tires are also notably quieter than other tires. When my MDX's OEM tires, which were terrible - noisy, poor wet & snow traction, needed replaced the LX25s were my go to choice. They are confidence inspiring in all weather conditions and the tread wear is minimal. I became a Continental fan 20 years ago when they were the OEM tires on my Audi. I noted the excellent wet road performance and hydroplaning resistance as well as the long tread life. I've never been disappointed with any of their tire models. The LX25s are excellent all season tires and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent touring tire. Significant step up from OEM Yokohamas, particularly in snow. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend for high performance oriented SUV but absolutely for family SUV.

Excellent dry road fraction saved me from hitting a cow on a curve during a dark night. Lesser tires would not have prevented the collision...
Excellent dry road fraction saved me from hitting a cow on a curve during a dark night. Lesser tires would not have prevented the collision. Limited use of pavement but seems fine. The only drawbacks are (1) they hydroplane at lower speed than a set of Michelins with excellent water handling capability but they otherwise perform better than those Michelin tires and (2) there is some road noise. But those factors are not significant enough to overcome the otherwise excellent performance.

...Dry road handling is excellent with great cornering...
It's only been a few weeks but I've got to say that the ride is very nice, and also quiet. I've only had one day of driving with light rain so far but the traction was good. Dry road handling is excellent with great cornering. I'll try to remember to come back and add to this after I have more miles on them.

...What I discovered with the LX 25's was a slight decrease in hard cornering ability but a giant step in ride noise and comfort...
These are my first set of touring tires in twenty years. I had always purchased the ultrahigh performance tires, which were great for hard cornering but the sidewalls were stiff and the ride sometimes suffered. What I discovered with the LX 25's was a slight decrease in hard cornering ability but a giant step in ride noise and comfort. Great tire.

These have been fantastic tires and I have been pleasantly surprised. Treadwear surprises me the most, minimal. I fought between buying these and the Michelin Cross-Climates and probably would have been happy with either. What swayed me to choose this is the Tire Rack assistance that said the Cross Climates would have a little more road noise. I would not hesitate yo buy these again. Great in all weather conditions Michigan presents.
