Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3–AKA the "BFG KO3"—is the 3rd generation of BFGoodrich's legendary Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire engineered for the on and off-road tire needs of dedicated off-roaders like Jeeps, pickup trucks and 4x4 sport utility vehicles. It's built for drivers who want rugged confidence and control no matter where their journey takes them. Following up the wildly-successful All-Terrain T/A KO2, the KO3 has been carefully designed to retain the aggressive (and classic) visual elements of BFGoodrich all terrain tires, while delivering outstanding durability, improved wear-life and traction in all weather conditions—even light snow.

Available in LT fitments, load ranges, and sizes beyond 35 inches, the KO3 features a reformulated cut, chip, and tear-resistant tread compound for greater longevity and durability. Molded into a symmetric footprint designed with a generous amount of void for off-road use, while also optimizing the footprint for more even stress distribution and uniform wear. The interlocking tread blocks are designed to work in concert with one another for stability both on and off the pavement. Broad channels at the shoulders and plenty of void space to redistribute water help maintain control in the wet. The 3-D Locking Sipes are full depth and alongside the Snow/Mud notches, are designed to help drivers find the traction they need in any environment.

The upper shoulder and sidewall feature CoreGuard Technology: a bruise- and split-resistant rubber compound that extends further down the sidewall to protect more of the tire in demanding scenarios. Alternating Shoulder Scoops deliver clawing force for control and traction in sand, dirt, or grueling off-road rock driving during "aired down" adventures, while the Mud Phobic bars keep the tire clear of built-up material so it can perform as intended. And as always, the KO3 is available with raised white sidewall lettering—perfect for making your tires and wheels pop, complementing your truck's paint, or making your classic 4x4 look the part.

Internal construction of the All-Terrain T/A KO3 utilizes a durable, triple-ply polyester casing designed for strength and reliability, along with twin, high-strength steel belts providing a robust foundation for the nylon cap ply offering high-speed capability.

NOTE: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Cooper Reviews

Owners report excellent dry traction and confident wet performance, with scores clustering in the 8-10 range for on-road all-terrain use. Winter capabilities earn praise for reliable snow grip, though ice traction shows occasional 7-8 ratings. Ride comfort receives strong marks for smoothness, though some note slightly elevated road noise. Treadwear ratings trend positively (7-10), with multiple users highlighting durability through varied conditions. While most feedback aligns with the tire's rugged all-terrain purpose, a small subset of lower comfort scores suggests occasional tradeoffs for off-pavement capability. High repeat purchase intent underscores satisfaction with its balanced on-road manners and light off-road competence.

I've had the previous generation of discovery at3, those tires lasted close 90,000 miles before hitting the wear bars. if it isn't broke don't fix it, so far this generation seems to be keeping up; good mud performance, great wet traction, fair snow and ice performance. Tires seems to be wearing fine and maintaining a proper alignment on the vehicle every 6 months helps. The only thing I have to say is there is a little bit of a tire noise that resonates in to the cab. But don't let that throw you off if you need good dependable tire for your daily or service fleet you can't beat an AT3

So far, I am pleased with the tires. They perform well, especially on wet roads. Off-road is great also. Just recently got into muddy situation & theses tires confidently got me out. I can’t wait to see how they do in snow this winter. Surprisingly low noise level & the ride is smooth. They look good too, but I wish they had white lettering, but this is not as important. If I didn’t need the tires right away, I would’ve waited for the white lettered walls. Otherwise i really like these tires.

I'm very impressed with the winter performance of these tires. I haven't driven "off road" with these yet but I believe they will perform well there as well.

...Had a mild winter storm with 1/8 inch of freezing rain, sleet, and ice and I can say that these were night and day better than the Destinations. Only a few hundred miles on these tires but wanted to give my initial thoughts. Tires I came from were worn Firestone Destination A/T's so off the bat these were much quieter and seem to have the same comfort level. Had a mild winter storm with 1/8 inch of freezing rain, sleet, and ice and I can say that these were night and day better than the Destinations. Stopping, cornering, and accelerating were much improved; I stopped my truck to see if it was snow on the ground or ice / sleet and almost fell due to the road being so slick, but with the tires and driving I would never have been the wiser.

I had a previous set of AT3 and had 60,000+ miles when I replaced them with about half the tread left so I am a fan of the brand and although I have limited mileage on these, I do believe that Cooper has a winner with the 4S's

I would highly recommend these tires to anyone looking for a really good all-terrain, all-weather tire. I am more impressed than I thought I'd be with these. We've had nothing but snow, ice and slush since I put these on the truck and they have plenty of grip. I've put them to the test for fun and have been thoroughly impressed. I have Nitto Terra-Grappler G2s on another truck and these perform better in snow and mud than those tires, which was very surprising because the Nitto's are great tires. I find that I don't need to switch into 4wd as often as in trucks with other tires. I can't speak much to tread wear yet, but in previous years I've ran Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires and they lasted beyond their expected wear. These are great tires and I will be buying them again.

The tire has been much better than the OE Goodyear Wranglers that came on the truck. The traction performance has been great with respect to wet and dry surfaces. The snow performance has been great as well. Good starting and stopping performance. The ride has been better than the Wranglers and the noise level is good for all terrain tires on paved roads. Handling bumps and Michigan potholes has been very good as well. Love this tire and would buy them again.

...excellent dry traction and equal adhesion on wet pavement, maybe even a little better. Steering response is positive and predictable...

These tires, (AT3 4S) are an ideal compromise for an all-purpose, light-duty truck used mostly on the road but occasionally pressed into service off-road in mud. Also, being in Massachusetts, they are an excellent tire in snow, aggressive and yet quiet on the road. Traction is typical Cooper, excellent dry traction and equal adhesion on wet pavement, maybe even a little better. Steering response is positive and predictable. Tracking is precise and ride quality is very good. These are an outstanding light truck tire that performs well under all circumstances. Further updates as time passes.

...It is a very comfortable ride and I don't hear any noise from it...

Hands down the best tires I've ever owned! They do perfect in dry, wet, snow, and even ice! I was very impressed with the handling in deep snow and ice, didn't slip at all and stops great! It is a very comfortable ride and I don't hear any noise from it. The treadware has been great as well! I have even been in mud, and sand because where I'm from its very sandy, and it's gone through it all with ease! If you are wanting an amazing tire for normal driving and off road and severe winter driving then this is hands down the best tire for you! And if you have a jeep with the awesome quadra drive II then these tires will let you maximize the potential and capabilities of your vehicle for sure! They also resist hydroplaning better than any tire I've had. I had ko2's before this and they blow them out of the water in every category. So seriously try these tires, you won't be disappointed because they are seriously hands down the best all terrain all season tires out there!

This is my 2nd set of Cooper AT3's. I saw some trail driving, a less than average amount of rain, and a ton of highway miles. What stands out for me was the smooth, very quiet ride and the treadlife. I got 70k off of a prior set. These are the newer version and all of the prior qualities still apply. I highly recommend them for a great all around AT tire for your truck or SUV...
