Does this tire fit your vehicle?

Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The Premier LTX is Michelin's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, sport utility vehicles, light-duty vans and pickup trucks looking for tires that deliver category-leading wet grip when new and when worn. And even when worn, Premier LTX tires are designed to stop shorter on wet roads than leading competitors' brand-new tires, as well as provide all-season traction on wintry roads, even in light snow.

The Premier LTX is a Michelin Total Performance tire that utilizes innovative technologies to bring multiple performances together. Combining stopping power, driving control, promised weather appropriateness and enhanced fuel efficiency, Michelin Total Performance tires reduce the influence of traditional trade-offs normally associated with tires. Michelin Total Performance is a promise of Michelin tire excellence.

Premier LTX tires use an extreme silica and sunflower oil enhanced tread compound to increase traction in wet and cold temperatures. This compound is molded into a light-truck-size-tuned symmetric tread design featuring a continuous center rib flanked by notched intermediate ribs and linked shoulder blocks to combine straight-line tracking with responsive dry-road handling. Michelin EverGrip Technology adds Expanding Rain Grooves around the tire's circumference and Emerging Grooves across its shoulders. As the tire wears, the Expanding Rain Grooves widen while Emerging Grooves open up across each shoulder block to help retain more traction in wet and wintry conditions.

Premier LTX tires marked "DT" feature an updated compound and additional molded tread depth to help improve wear life. These tires are identified in search results and on the Specs page, and "DT" is branded on the sidewall of the tire.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped polyamide cord on top of a polyester casing ply to blend handling and durability with ride uniformity and comfort.

*Specific sizes utilizing Michelin Total Performance eco-focused manufacturing methods are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Customers Say

Reviews highlight excellence in dry traction, with users praising the RT615K+ for exceptional grip, precise steering, and predictable handling during track days, autocross, and spirited driving. Wet performance earns positive marks when new, offering decent rain grip, though hydroplaning risks increase in standing water as tread wears. Tread life receives mixed feedback-enthusiasts appreciate its resilience through multiple heat cycles and endurance events, but note accelerated wear under aggressive street or track use. The tire's balance of performance and tread life makes it a favorite for drivers prioritizing dry-track performance.

...Excellent traction on the dry surface and better than I expected on wet and raining surfaces- I don't push it when the weather isn't dry but these were reasonable up to 120 kph, and stayed stable and predictable.

First time with the set- trying to gain a better track edge from the Invo's and other brands I've had on the car.
Excellent traction on the dry surface and better than I expected on wet and raining surfaces- I don't push it when the weather isn't dry but these were reasonable up to 120 kph, and stayed stable and predictable. On dry surfaces, these puppies really hookup and I had some great runs where they simply outran the other guys tyres.
On the track, the cornering was predictive and even when I overcooked the entry, I was always able to manage these tyres into a good recovery. In straight-line events, a really good and strong launch didn't phase them- hooking up nicely every time (no tire is subject to exact traction if you apply too much horsepower but these were the best yet at taking a big load).
The wear on any tyre south of 300 or more is not for the guy who wants 30000 miles out of a set- these at least lasted as long as my Invo's. Be prepared for new set every summer to be on the safe side. They were quiet and ran smoothly for 'around the town' driving and I'm really pleased with this stat!
So, they ride well, handle well and deliver a nice punch in the performance area- best I've experienced to date.
I would recommend them for the street-track guy who enjoys pushing the envelop.

...Just one heavy rain experience so far at full tread depth and secure in feel and response.

This set replaced a prior set which went 30k before it hit the wear bars. This is a follow up of a review in October 2019 on the prior set. Overall pleased with choice. Had local shop mount and balance and no tire needed more than 1.25 oz , which I take as a sign of a good tech and a quality tire to start with. No surprise, about the same experience as the prior set so far. Only difference seems to be a slight "singing" when at light load, low slip angle cornering. Not a complaint, just an observation. Just one heavy rain experience so far at full tread depth and secure in feel and response. Only one experience below 50 degrees on this set and they do let you know they are "cold". With the words "14 inch" and " performance tire" becoming an oxymoron, this is the ideal tire for an NA Miata where folks want to run the OE wheels.

Excellent grip, gives you confidence to throw the car into a corner far faster than you thought possible and delivers. Find myself out cornering cars that should be keeping up. Even in wet and cool weather the tires are compliant and keep you in control. Highly recommend for your spirited drives.

I have a set of 225/45R17 Falken Azenis RT615K+’s on my 08 Civic Si Sedan and they are fantastic. I drive to and from the autocross track on the Falkens and run my laps in the same tires. They have two seasons on them with heavy autox abuse and still have a ton of life left while being in the hot South Texas heat. The tires have mostly track time on them as I don’t daily them too much but are fantastic as just a good street tire with low noise with the ability to be an impressive track tire. Highly recommend

Did two track days on these tires and they held up beautifully. No doubt that they're one of the slower of the 200TW tires out there, especially compared to the RT660 that I use for autocross. However, these tires took an absolute beating on the track and I experienced no greasiness or chunking, and they held pace for lap after lap. Exactly what I wanted in that regard, just a tire that I can drive on the street I can take to the track and not worry about destroying it or wearing too quickly.

As a street tire, they wear quickly if you do a lot of driving. Tires held up alright for a summer (about 8000 miles on them), but they're nearly down to the bars near the end of the season (mid-september). Lots of daily driving and a few long trips here and there, so most of the wear on the treads came from that. They're certainly on the noisy side, and not very efficient which is a downside for my EV. I lost maybe 15~20% of my range with these depending on conditions, on the worse end when it's below 60 degrees. I'm going to retire these when I take them off in late October and probably go for a set of Indy 500s next year. This is my daily and I put miles on the car. If it was just a weekend toy I'd go for the 615K+ again in a heartbeat, but I'm not sure I can justify getting a new set of summer tires every year for my daily.

Wet performance obviously isn't one of the tire's strengths, and they certainly hydroplane a bit easier than most in heavy rain, but that's to be expected. They performed adequately on my heavy-ish car, never any pucker moments on the highway unless I was asking too much from them. They held up on a wet track pretty well, though there was no deep water, just a wet surface.

Overall I'm satisfied with the tire, and they absolutely are a great fit for a weekend toy that doesn't see the mileage that a daily gets. The treads wearing quickly is not the fault of the tire, and they held up really well for track use. Just not quite the right fit for my car.

222 customers mention "Treadwear"

  • 154 positive
  • 68 negative

Customers praise the Falken Azenis RT615K+ for impressive treadwear in extreme performance scenarios, with many scoring 7-8 for lasting multiple track days, endurance races, and 8,000+ street miles. Reviews highlight consistent grip through heat cycles, predictable wear patterns, and reliable dry performance even as tread depth decreases. While rapid wear is noted under aggressive track use, enthusiasts view it as a fair trade-off for the tire's sticky dry traction and budget-friendly endurance in autocross, HPDE, and spirited driving.

I've only driven 100 miles so far on these tires. I barely broke-in the tires, then took it out for an autocross the same day.

On the autocross, these tires were absolutely phenomenal. After one run, the tires heated up to proper operating temperature. I was able to rotate the car with the throttle and brake with extreme precision. These are things I was never able to accomplish with the old all-season tires I had on before. Steering feel was improved, with good information coming through the wheel, but it could have been better. The highlight of these tires was how EASY it was to take it around the autocross course at a blistering pace. My Miata suddenly felt like an extension of myself during the second run (and thereafter).

Noise and ride quality have been surprisingly good so far. I was expecting more noise and harshness, but they seem to be on par with my old Hankook S1 Noble A/S tires so far. Perhaps I'll report back in 1000 miles.

Update 5/22/2017:
I now have 240 miles on these tires. I've attended two more autocrosses and done some freeway commuting.
I've discovered a single downside: Gas mileage is noticeably decreased with these tires. I'm getting about 25 MPG (as opposed to about 29-30) during freeway slogs, which was rather surprising. Perhaps its due to the soft rubber compound.

I just participated in a wet autocross on 5/21. The tires were, again, immediately sticky and very forgiving. The degree of controllability when approaching the limits of the car is astonishing. Even in the wet, the tires got warm and grippy very quickly. Would recommend, 10/10.

My go-to tire for endurance racing in our e36. While not the quickest tire out there, the wear rate is awesome. Handling is very predictable and if you overdrive them, it only takes @1 lap to get grip back. We can get 2 full 8hr races and a couple of test&tune days on a set before we retire them. Can't beat the price/performance. They are not uni-directional, so no need to flip them on a rim to get more life out of them. Great all around tire for track junkies that won't break the bank.
