Grand Touring All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sophisticated appearance, competent handling and H-speed rated (or higher) durability, along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Grand Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sophisticated coupes and luxurious performance sedans.
O.E. Grand Touring All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Treadwear scores show inconsistency, with some drivers noting premature wear while others report decent longevity. Winter traction earns praise for light snow performance, though ice handling draws mixed feedback. Wet traction scores highlight strong grip and hydroplaning resistance, though a few note reduced confidence in heavy rain. ...Surprisingly quiet and responsive in both wet and dry conditions...
These tires are the original OEM tires that came with the car. Surprisingly quiet and responsive in both wet and dry conditions. Good wear as at 38,000 miles I still have 7/32 of tread left. Only rotated twice during this time. Living in the Charlotte NC area I can't really comment on snow performance.

...I had them on an 6 in. unplowed snow covered very steep dirt road and the car went up like a mountain goat which surprised me...
First let me say my other car is an Audi TT with Michelin Super Sports on it so I am basing my handling marks on such a tire and the Falkens I have are on a VW Alltrack which also has quattro like all wheel traction. When I first bought the car I was looking for all kinds of reasons to not like these tires but they handle very well until you go past 80 then I would not push them but that is not really what they are made for or designed into. The tires are XL (extra load). I have cornered very hard with them and they handle well. I had them on an 6 in. unplowed snow covered very steep dirt road and the car went up like a mountain goat which surprised me. At 8,300 mi. the tire depth is 7.5/32, new started at 11/32 so I think this tire is going to last like 30,000 but it might be more my driving style. For a normal driving person that doesn't drive super fast and corner hard the tire might last longer and it is an inexpensive tire. I won't buy another set but I don't think they were a bad tire (hope that doesn't sound too contradictive). By the way, there are not a lot of choices for this size tire and vehicle.

I, like others, wanted to hate this tire since I am used to only purchasing tires made by Michelin, Bridgestone or Dunlop generally. However, as time went on, I have to say that it's not a bad tire. I corner aggressively and they held up pretty well. I'd say they were a solid choice for an all-season tire. They worked well in the snow and rain also. All of that said, since I put 31,000 miles on my car in a year and the tires are shot, I wouldn't recommend them for longevity.

Most customers rate dry traction between 8-10, highlighting excellent grip and responsive handling. While a few scores dip lower, the majority praise its confident dry performance for all-season touring.

...I never get snow or ice where I live, so can't list such experiences, but it did perform as well as any other tire handling... sharp turns on dry pavement, sudden stops, and harsh accelerations...
These tires came as a set of 2 that were already installed when I purchased the car back in 2019 at 49,000mi. Only recently had them changed out at the tail end of 2020, just under 100,000mi, with Carfax showing a total of 77,000mi between myself and previous owner. Even if I'm to disbelieve the Carfax, lasting 50,000mi for just myself is pretty good; I'd be tempted to go back for the treadwear alone, especially since I like to drive spirited here and there.
As for the tires' other qualities, I can only speak for so much. I never get snow or ice where I live, so can't list such experiences, but it did perform as well as any other tire handling water, sharp turns on dry pavement, sudden stops, and harsh accelerations. I didn't notice excess road noise but mainly because I always have my windows down when possible.
All in all, very glad these tires lasted as long as they did, considering how much I drive. If I weren't going for only summer tires from here on out, I would go for these again, and definitely recommend.

These are good tires for sporty handling. But, I swear you feel every pebble in the road. They ride very harsh. I have no idea how they do in snow. Very good handling and rain tire performance .

...My current one has these Falken tires, and I think they are better than the Bridgestone Ecopia 422's that came on the other one... Traction is good enough...
I've had 2 Jetta's. My current one has these Falken tires, and I think they are better than the Bridgestone Ecopia 422's that came on the other one. I like the quietness and comfort. Traction is good enough, but I have not experienced snow or ice driving. Treadwear is minimal so far, considering the low-ish 320 rating. There are plenty of options for tires in this size, but I would be unhappy choosing a different tire that made the interior louder. You just never know.

Ride is comfortable over all but cornering can be a problem due to the soft sidewalls... These tires are not quiet but comfortable on highway.
Ride is comfortable over all but cornering can be a problem due to the soft sidewalls. Hard breaking in wet conditions is ok but not great. These tires are good for the money, an improvement over the sincera 828 driving over moderately rough and wet roads.. I changed from a 185/70 for the 195/70 for a larger footprint. The Aspect increases was 2 inches and this caused more bounce and some sway due to the soft sidewalls. These tires are not quiet but comfortable on highway.

...They're quieter than expected, ride comfort is good, and wet and dry handling was better than I was expecting for 205/55 tire...
These are OEM on my Golf Alltrack. Overall they were pretty surprising. They're quieter than expected, ride comfort is good, and wet and dry handling was better than I was expecting for 205/55 tire. I'll likely replace with a 225/50, which will offer a bit more grip, but will also likely have worse fuel economy.
For everyday driving, these seem like a good choice, although the UTOG rating is pretty low and it seems that treadwear isn't great for a tire that is an all-season.
Vehicle: 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Miles Driven on Tires: 3,000 Driving Conditions: Combined Highway/City Location: SEATTLE, WA Driving Style: Average
Many customers report dissatisfaction with tread life, with scores between 0-5 indicating premature wear and needing early replacement. While some rate it 9-10, frequent mentions of rapid wear and poor mileage suggest inconsistent treadwear performance.

Treadwear is very low, purchased my car brand new and tires already almost bald at 25k miles. Even wear across tire, regular rotation, proper tire pressure. Too much for only ~30k miles at best.
