The WildPeak A/T Trail is Falken's On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for drivers of crossovers and SUVs who crave adventure and want a tire with the durability to explore off-road, yet matches the dynamic characteristics of modern crossover vehicles on the road. The WildPeak A/T Trail is designed to deliver rugged capability and aggressive good looks combined with pleasant on-road manners, confident dry and wet traction, and light snow performance sufficient to earn the tire industry's severe snow service certification and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Falken WildPeak A/T Trail Callouts

The WildPeak A/T Trail is engineered to complement the unibody construction of crossovers and small SUVs to deliver durability and enhanced handling year-round. The silica-enriched compound is molded into a purposeful, symmetric pattern and is designed to provide durability and longevity over a wide range of conditions and temperatures. Wet traction is enhanced by the high-silica compound along with the notches and edges of the independent tread blocks. Deep starting tread depths, open shoulders, and wide, circumferential grooves aid hydroplaning resistance where standing water is present. The upper sidewall features a rugged construction and over-the-shoulder ribs to help prevent punctures from rocks, sticks and other terrain encountered off-road. Falken's 3D Canyon sipes interlock below the surface for stability in all conditions while also creating biting edges that enhance light snow and ice traction and help the tire earn the 3PMSF symbol.

Falken WildPeak A/T Trail tires allow drivers to personalize their vehicles by offering dual sidewall designs on every tire. One side features traditional, serrated lettering, while the other has a raised, three-dimensional style. All tires feature both designs, allowing drivers to choose their look based on which is mounted outward on the wheel.

A two-ply, polyester casing enhances durability without compromising ride quality. Twin, high-strength steel belts support the tread area and are reinforced by a polyamide cap ply, improving handling and providing high-speed capability.

Customers Say

Customer feedback data reveals strong performance across key categories for this on-road all-terrain tire. Dry traction receives consistent 9-10 ratings, praised for reliable grip and stability. Wet traction also excels, with high marks for hydroplaning resistance. Winter traction shows robust capability in snow, though ice scores vary slightly more (7-10). Comfort earns positive feedback for a smooth ride, while noise levels are generally well-received. Treadwear stands out with frequent 9-10 scores, indicating above-average longevity for the category. A few isolated 7s in steering responsiveness and deep snow traction suggest minor trade-offs, but overall satisfaction remains high for rugged on-road and light off-road use.

...They handle great in wet and dry pavement and are also impressive in gravel/mud roads...

I was worried that these would be loud like lifted “truck/jeep” but they are silent and smooth in the highway. My MPGs have not gone down and the tread wear is excellent (barely any in 4500 miles). They handle great in wet and dry pavement and are also impressive in gravel/mud roads. Overall I’m super impressed by these and will buy them again. Highly recommended.

Second set of Wild peaks I've purchased. I've plowed through over two feet of snow uphill with these on my car and they didn't even notice one bit. Dry summer traction is the same as any all season tire I have ever had, and wet traction is almost just as good as dry. Normal driving they are fantastic and then not so aggressive that if you want to play around a bit you absolutely can.

...The Falken has done very well in dry and wet conditions...

I am a Ski Industry Sales Rep and do about 28,000 miles/year in New England. I purchased these as a winter tire setup but have been pleasantly surprised with the dry road performance as well. I have only put about 2,500 miles on the tires but I have been very satisfied. The road noise is minimal, and the car tends to ride and handle much better. Coming from original equipment, the car used to suffer under hard cornering. No longer! The Falken has done very well in dry and wet conditions. We just received about a foot of snow here in Vermont and having to drive through the storm, the Falkens performed fantastic. They were also exceptional when getting out of my snow drifted driveway. My only complaint is the loss in MPG's but that is to be expected. Highly recommend!

...The traction in the snow was another big difference. The Bridgestone were ok but would spin in moderate snow packs like parking lots and ends of driveways where it was compacted whereas these plow through with no problem...

I LOVE these tires. Previously I had Bridgestone Dueler H/T and with those tires, I had a little shaking of the steering wheel at 60-70 MPH and when braking to exit the highway. Once I put these tires on, that shaking was GONE. The traction in the snow was another big difference. The Bridgestone were ok but would spin in moderate snow packs like parking lots and ends of driveways where it was compacted whereas these plow through with no problem. The cornering with these tires is AMAZING with no loss of grip to the road. Very little noise at highway speed. I have driven in dirt parking lots and a few wet/muddy trails and the traction is great with these tires. I know the wear on these aren't rated the best but whenever we travel long distances we are taking the family van so Im not too worried about the short wearing span. I have put on a little over 5,000 and haven't seen much loss of tread. I recommend these to ANYBODY who lives in an area like New England where weather changes on a whim, especially in the winter.

No worries about hydroplaning, perform superbly in the snow. Previously could barely make it out of my driveway with old tires; WildPeaks handle it with ease.

No complaints at all about the WildPeaks. Quiet on the road, have worn evenly (and not very much) in my all-wheel drive Volvo XC70 for 6,000 miles so far. No worries about hydroplaning, perform superbly in the snow. Previously could barely make it out of my driveway with old tires; WildPeaks handle it with ease.

Recently put a set of these on a 2010 Land Rover and love them. Lots of snow here and thats why I purchased these tires. They have continued to impress me through 8+ inches of snow and slush. Cornering on ice and snow is greatly improved with these tires. Road noise wasn't noticeable. One thing I did notice was the steering doesn't feel as twitchy as it did with the Pirellis I had on before. Really happy with the Wildpeak ATs. I will definetly be recommending them.

...Nice and quiet, great wet and dry handling...

Really happy with these tires. For the driving I do, they handle most everything I throw at them, as long as I stay within the limits of my Outback. My only complaint is in any snow more than a few inches they don't seem to be much better than the stock all seasons, but I am comparing the performance (unfairly) to a set of Blizzaks I have on the stock rims. With that said, they still get the job done. Nice and quiet, great wet and dry handling. Mileage dropped 1-2 mpg, but I'm still happy overall.

...It's nearly perfect on a dry road, even in extreme cold...

While you always have to make certain compromises when you buy an all-terrain style tire, I strongly believe this is one of the tires where the compromises are few and far between.

It's nearly perfect on a dry road, even in extreme cold. It handles rain well, though obviously cornering performance takes a bit of a hit.

Where I'm most impressed by this tire is its light snow performance. I've never had a better, more confidence-inducing tire in light snow. It even handles deeper snow reasonably well.

Just keep in mind this is not a dedicated winter tire, so don't go crazy in the first snowfall until you know how they react. But I'm perfectly comfortable driving with these in the wildly variable weather conditions in an Iowa winter. These have seen everything from 60 degrees and sunny, to 10 degrees with 5 inches of snow on the ground, to slushy/icy mixed roads, to temperatures 25 below zero, to 45 and rain so far. I've never felt unsafe or unable to make it where I need to go.

I'll buy these tires as long as they produce them for any SUV or light truck.

...Thus far, the dry, wet, and winter traction are phenomenal...

After several instances of losing traction in multiple conditions with the set of BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport tires I previously had on my vehicle, I decided to try the new Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tires. I am very glad I did! Falken has come a long way in the last several years and this tire is proof of that. Thus far, the dry, wet, and winter traction are phenomenal. Shortly after installing the tires, I encountered heavy rain, frost, and light snow conditions; the A/T Trail handled them all with aplomb. I still haven't had any instances of losing traction, even in heavy rain or varied snow, whereas the prior set of tires would've given up grip and sent my sliding. These tires feel sure-footed in all the conditions encountered in the 1,500 miles I've been driving on them. Compared to the previous set of BFGs, these Falkens outclass them in every category except noise. These tires do have a noticeable growl to them, but nothing annoying and they're not noticeable with the radio on with a moderate volume level. Considering they're an A/T tire, these are quite comfortable. They have a smooth ride, good road feel, and excellent response. They're essentially a more aggressive all-season performance tire with the added bonus of being more durable and rated for severe snow usage. The icing on the cake is that they're affordable as well, priced well below many competing tires. Overall I'm very happy with them and unless the rubber compound takes a dump halfway through the service life like the aforementioned BFGs, I'll gladly purchase another set.

...Customers note that " No increase of road noise has been noted, I was fully expecting a growl that other reviews have mentioned when switching to an All Weather tire. Road noise has always been higher in the backseat and I noted when my son was driving the other day, he was playing music at a lower volume and it seemed clearer than before the tire change."...

Probably only 100miles on these, so this is just initial impressions. This is my first experience with All Weather and Off-road tires. I changed out the OE Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 Tire, which I had a mishap with on a morning commute of 4in of snow that was preceded by brief freezing rain, this was with less than 10K on tires. No increase of road noise has been noted, I was fully expecting a "growl" that other reviews have mentioned when switching to an All Weather tire. Road noise has always been higher in the backseat and I noted when my son was driving the other day, he was playing music at a lower volume and it seemed clearer to me than before the tire change.

In the area of comfort. The Edge Sport suspension is a little stiffer than any car I've had before. My wife's SUV had always had a better ride, but since switching her from Michelin Premiere LTX (that wore out too soon) to the Michelin Defender LTX M+S, she went from a ride that was like butter to one like soft butter. There is a expansion joint that I take daily that I call the filling extractor. Her car just makes noise. Mine was jarring in old tires, Falkens are definitely are an improvement over this chasm.

No new snow as of late, but found plenty of packed snow/refrozen neighborhood roads to try. Huge improvement, but I expected anything would be better than old tires with 42,000 mi. Neighborhood is 20 mph limit, so not a real great test. First on semi frozen slush and a hard brake stomp, the anti-lock brakes did not even kick in and was like stopping on dry pavement. Next was the dreaded ice sheet before the stop sign that I had almost slid through the day before. From 22 MPH to full stop in less than 25 feet. Antilock brakes kicked in but just for 2 seconds.

I hope to update this review as I get some real snow and more miles.

...The treadwear is great - they are also very COOL looking tires and when I got my car inspected the tech noticed them, and was surprised I had already had them a year...

I bought these tires a year ago for my Forester and love them. The main con is I probably dropped 1-2 mpg after putting these on; not surprising as I do a lot of stop-start city driving. I do take them on dirt roads in NH and they have performed with good traction on those roads. They are fine on main roads - probably a little 'sticky' when getting going for the first few hundred miles. This plus the weight over the OEM tires probably contributes to the MPG loss.

They are rock solid on snow and about as well as any tire I have driven on ice. The treadwear is great - they are also very COOL looking tires and when I got my car inspected the tech noticed them, and was surprised I had already had them a year.

Overall, best tires I have had. I previously had Falken Ziex on my impreza and liked them so Falken as a brand impresses me. But these wildpeaks have achieved every expectation I had.

The Wildpeaks were purchased and installed as a highly recommended tire for mixed road/off-road use, and I have not been disappointed! They are quiet and well-behaved on-road, and capable off-road. After 15,000 miles, plus or minus, they still have 8/32 of tread left. I've been able to test them in mud, light snow, dirt/gravel, and mixed/rocky terrain and observed no noticeable slip. They are as quiet on the asphalt as the touring/all-season tires they replaced.
