Falken  WildPeak A/T3W

Great tire! This will make my second set I've had on my truck. No complaints, have performed to my expectations in rain, snow and sand on or off road.

These tires are the best I have ever owned. They are quiet and comfortable on the highway, and they chew through off-road trails. They are also amazingly resistant to hydroplaning. I drive them mostly on the road, and they are quiet and responsive. I have also taken them into muddy fields to go hunting, and they performed exceptionally well. I have also taken them off-roading onto some pretty serious terrain, to get to the base of some of the mountains in the Colorado rockies, and they performed exceptionally well. They never lost traction and easily crawled over large boulders. However, what impressed me the most is how well they perform on the highway. I have had several other brands of all-terrain tires in the past. I always felt like I had to sacrifice road noise and ride comfort, to obtain the offroad capabilities. But not with these tires. They perform exceptionally well both on-road, and off. (I cannot speak to their snow capabilities, as I run snow tires in the winter.)

I am a media storm chaser. To get paid, I have to drive to the worst part of the blizzard/ice storm, high speed in heavy rain to shoot tornadoes etc. I bought my Xterra new in 2007 and now have 265,000 miles on it so I've had MANY different brands of tires on it to compare. K02s were very good in snow and sand but hydroplaned too easily. Dura Tracs were good in snow and mud but the well known weak sidewalls which cut easily on rocks when off roading cost me 3 of them. Firestone Destination AT was a surprisingly good tire in everything except off roading. THIS tire, the Falken Wildpeak AT3W has been THE best tire I've run on this truck. But the secret it to NOT get the "LT" version because only the NON "LT" version has the silica tread compound which is what makes them so incredible in ice, snow, and rain (plus makes them last longer). They are still load range 116 which is higher than the LT Load C Dura Trac! I am able to get into places with these without chaining up that I always had to chain up before. High speed in rain is no problem, excellent on off road trails. I'm at 40,000 miles and these will last well beyond the 55,000 warranty. Very even wear so far. I'm done looking. This is the only tire I'll be running on my trucks/SUVs from now on.

Best tire I've ever used. I live in Buffalo, NY and have driven through several feet of snow with these tires in FWD. They are hands down the best A/T tire I've had in the winter and get amazing mileage. I have 55,000 on a slightly oversized set of tires on my truck with easily over 1/3 of tread life left.

I have only driven my new set of tires in a City and Highway setting for about 300 miles. It is too early to tell how it performs in the long run (say at 5,000 miles) and off-road (which I intend to take in the near future). What I do know, at present, is that these tires gave a comfortable and quiet ride. On dry pavement, they are grippy (maybe due to being new with new tread depth); stopping distance, steering controls, and cornering are excellent considering I drive a Montero (it has a tall roof, and mine is a short wheel-base version). I have not driven them in rain or in snow.

I like the black-sidewall feature and they do look smart on my Montero.

Tires perform really well in anything other than dry pavement. On dry pavement they are just a hair below average. Well worth the trade off for winter tires.

Replaced BFG’s. These tires are a bit quieter (BFG’s were worn out) and provide a comfortable ride. I like them in water. Not a mud tire. They were great on ice. I recommend. It will be interesting to see the longevity of these tires.

I purchased these tires May of 2022 and have put over 40,000 miles on them with a mix of Highway, Offroad, City, and Back road driving. I live in Michigan and Drive in deep snow, slush, ice all winter. These tires are the best all around tire I have ever owned. Up until about 30,000 miles they were extremely quiet and made hardly any road noise at all. I am a avid hunter and frequently drive my truck into fields and down two tracks in Fall, Winter, and Spring when trails and fields are muddy and nasty and never once have I gotten stuck or questioned if my tires were going to be an issue. I needed a tire that was good on road and highways so I could take phone calls for work while driving but also good in deep snow and in mud, sand, and offroad and these tires have delivered! I would highly recommend them to anyone who has those same needs and I will be running these again next time I need new tires.

Bought these tires in 2017 after my original tires wore out, was skeptical at first but after 6 years and 66000 miles on them I'm really pleased with them, and they still have several thousand more miles to go, haven't measured the tread but they have a good quarter inch or more of tread left will definitely buy these again well worth the money,.

Little noise but nothing terrible. Great off-road and absolutely unreal tread life. I got 55000 out of these, on my vehicle, from the dealer and probably could’ve gotten 5K more!!! Love these tires.
