The AlitMAX 365 AW is General's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for the drivers of family sedans, coupes, crossovers and SUVs who want the versatile performance provided by an all-weather tire in a variety of weather conditions, including light snow traction that meets the industry's severe snow service requirements and is branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
The AltiMAX 365 AW features a high-silica, all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric pattern designed to blend dry and wet traction with enhanced wintry weather grip. The center rib's lower sipe density allows for increased steering feel and promotes even wear, with the added benefit of helping maintain noise comfort throughout the tire's life. The AltiMAX 365 AW utilizes a Sinusoidal Siping System for increased inclement weather traction while helping maintain dry road handling. Large lateral channels feed wide, circumferential grooves for efficient hydroplaning resistance, helping enhance wet weather stability. Additional Traction Teeth are also molded into the Waved Groove design which, in conjunction, helps increase biting edges in snow and slush for improved grip in difficult winter conditions.
Internal construction of the AltiMAX 365 AW consists of a single ply casing for a smooth, comfortable ride. Twin steel belts are incorporated to maximize strength and durability along with a polyamide reinforcement for stability at higher speeds.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Excellent stopping wet or dry, ride quality is above average and is much better that the Bridge stones they replaced...
These Falkens give our RX300 a comfortable and confident ride. Excellent stopping wet or dry, ride quality is above average and is much better that the Bridge stones they replaced. My wife asked how I made her SUV ride so much better....that was good enough for me.

...Traction in the rain is excellent, the ride is excellent, and the tire noise is basically non existent unless on those terrible south Ga backroads...
I bought a set to replace the factory Michelins on my wifes 2015 Ford Edge. The ride changed instantly and stayed the same throughout the life of the tire. Traction in the rain is excellent, the ride is excellent, and the tire noise is basically non existent unless on those terrible south Ga backroads. The tires did wear prematurely due to me not rotating properly, but Falken went above and beyond and still went through with their tread wear warranty. Re-purchased the tires and will report back on how the new set wears.

I purchased these tires because it was on sale and because it’s a crossover specific tire. These tires are very quiet and comfortable. My steering feels like I’m in a different car (good thing). Takes bumps really well. We just had our first big (16”-18”) of snow and these tires did not disappoint. I was shocked how well they did for a touring tire. These thing grip quick when I was playing a little. Definitely will be purchasing these again in the future.

The handling, whether dry, wet, light snow, slightly icy, has all been excellent...
The handling, whether dry, wet, light snow, slightly icy, has all been excellent. I originally researched these tires with an eye towards better traction/stopping than the original tires. But while these features did not disappoint, it comes as a severe cost wrt noise, vibration, and rolling resistance/gas mileage, especially at higher speeds. At most speeds both above and below 50mph, mileage has decreased by as much as 10% , the buzz of the tires is relentless at even modest speeds. In cold weather, vibration is that much more evident and annoying. While I am aware that the hatchback configuration of the Outback does not make it particularly quiet, vibration was never evident, and these tires make it considerably noisier. I do feel a bit safer with these tires, but I already felt quite safe. I will definitely look to some other brand or model when I replace them.

...So far no issues with wet or dry traction...
these tires came brand new when i recently purchased a used 2018 Toyota Rav 4 limited. These seem to ride just as well as the Mastercraft Stratus tires that I had on the 2012 CRV (which we traded for the RAV. So far no issues with wet or dry traction. I have not yet had opportunity to drive in snow with these tires, but judging by tread design that is very similar to the Master Craft Stratus we had on the old CRV, I have confidence that these tires will handle snow just as well . Now being retired we dont put as many miles on the tires any more so these tires will likely age out before they wear out . I am in Lincoln NE so we could still get a big snow in March and if we do I will update on the snow handling characteristics .

This is one of the best riding and quietest tires I have ever owned. Absolutely transformed the car over the Michelin Latitude HP's...
This is my second review. This is one of the best riding and quietest tires I have ever owned. Absolutely transformed the car over the Michelin Latitude HP’s, but that trade off is mileage. First set got 30k miles and Falken prorated 50% towards another set. This set made it 28k miles before they were at 3/32. Always at 35 psi and rotated every 5k miles with the oil change. No abnormal alignment wear either. Before the price increase If you valued absolute ride quality and don’t care about mileage then this is your tire, but since the price increase I cannot in good faith say it is worth that.
Vehicle: 2015 Ford Edge FWD SE Miles Driven on Tires: 28,000 Driving Conditions: Combined Highway/City Location: FERNANDINA BEACH, FL Driving Style: Easy Going
Most customers rate treadwear highly with scores of 9s and 10s, highlighting excellent durability for all-season use. While some lower scores exist, overall satisfaction reflects long-lasting performance in intended conditions.
