The Winterforce LT is Firestone's Light Truck/SUV Studdable Winter / Snow tire designed for the owners of medium- and heavy-duty commercial vans, SUVs and pickup trucks. Available in Load Range E (10-Ply Rated) sizes, Winterforce LT tires are for drivers looking for traditional wintertime traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads.

Firestone Winterforce LT winter / snow radials feature a winter tread compound molded into an aggressive directional tread pattern with tread blocks that are siped and can be studded to offer the biting edges necessary to provide traction in snow and on ice. Independent tread blocks feature high-density siping to enhance grip in loose snow while the intermediate and shoulder tread blocks are molded to accept studs that further enhance traction on hard-packed snow and ice. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a polyester casing to combine strength with ride quality.

Winterforce LT winter / snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Winterforce LT tires in sets of four only.

Pinned to accept optional TSMI #15 blue-colored metallic winter studs.

Customers Say

Customers think the Firestone Winterforce LT delivers excellent snow and ice grip, with many 9-10 ratings for winter traction and deep snow performance. Wet traction receives strong marks for reliable hydroplaning resistance and consistent grip in slushy conditions. Dry handling is praised for stability and responsive steering, though a few note slightly less precision at higher speeds. Ride comfort earns positive feedback for smoothness, while noise levels are generally acceptable for winter tires. ...They are in the rain, in slush and even on a 1000 mile highway trip...

I needed a good snow tire for my SUV but was on a budget. These Firestones were reasonably priced and now that they are installed, they have exceeded my expectations. They are good in the rain, slush and even on a 1000 mile highway trip. I though that these tires were only going to be OK but it turns out that they are much better than I thought they would be. I am pleasantly surprised.

...They still brake great, corner great and are great in the wet after the snow melts...

Having roughly 10,000 miles on my Winterforce tires, they have proven time and time again to be amazing tires. They are a little soft and a little loud which is to be expected with a winter tire. They still brake great, corner great and are great in the wet after the snow melts. -for what its worth, I smoked a ton of other jeeps in a snow filled cornfield driving event on these tires, in 2wd. I really look forward to driving in snow with these tires. I plan to get 3, maybe 4 seasons out of these tires. I have a dedicated set of cheap wheels which these tires stay on year 'round. Highly recommended to anyone.

These tires are great. Excellent snow and ice traction, I don't even notice that I don't have 4-wheel drive. Makes stopping and cornering feel safe. The ride and noise is better then the Goodyear ArmorTrac's that they replaced. Wear seems to be appropriate. The price is excellent, can't get a better buy.

Fantastic Tires! These balanced out easily and provide good winter traction with minimal negative characteristics. Was able to clime numerous winding and hilly roads in the river bluffs during a blizzard in 2wd. 4x4 has yet to be engaged on regular roadways with these on the Jeep.

...Excellent in snow and more than reasonable on dry...

Second vehicle I have used the Winterforce. Excellent in snow and more than reasonable on dry. Due to size, my responsiveness is somewhat lower.
Acceptable for use as year-round tire. Performs just as well in muddy or varied terrain. Will purchase again.

I will say that there is a section of highway in town that is grooved and the tires do like to follow the wavy grooves when it's dry, that is the only real demerit I can say about them...

I was looking to buy the General Grabber winter tires like I had on previous F-150 but they were out at the time, so I decided to give these a try. I have yet to have to put the truck in 4X4 this winter, these tires just claw their way through whatever is on the road. Snow, Slush, Ice doesn't seem to matter. I have actually flicked the truck around or stepped on it a few times on purpose just to test them and it just goes where I point it. I will say that there is a section of highway in town that is grooved and the tires do like to follow the wavy grooves when it's dry, that is the only real demerit I can say about them. They are an E rated tire, which is more than necessary for an F-150. I have them set at 50psi. After 4000 miles I have only lost 1/32nd of tire tread, as they start at 18/32 they should last a few good winters.

this tire was an excellent (sleeper) buy the tread wear has been just great i purchased a set of 4 and was doing great until some sierra club nut job buried a spike strip on an access road to a public hunting area both front tires were ruined i replaced them with a set of dunlops that have approx 10000 miles and are nearly worn out, they work great in the high country snow and work great in the dessert sand/rock of arizona, getting ready to replace all 4 again would rate these tires as great all around general purpose 4x4 lt tires 2 thumbs up

...Initially, I had some pretty low expectations for the Winterforce, mileage-wise, when I purchased them. The 60,000 miles that I was able to get out of them really did surprise me...even staying in good shape through a pretty troublesome swaybar/shock issue. I drove on these year-round, rotating every 6-12k miles...

This tire is an excellent selection if you're going to be driving in wintery conditions. My little truck is (was) terrible in snow. I've had my truck for 7 years now...I've gotten used to putting sand bags in the bed sometime in November, and not taking them out until mid-March. I've put over 255,000 miles on my truck since I bought it new in '03. I'm just now running through the 4th set of tires. The stock Continental's (50k miles) were mediocre in dry/wet, but they were dangerous in snow. The next two sets were Yokahama all season/performance tires. Those were the best mileage-wise. But again, very scary in snow. I put over 75k miles on the first set & 70k on the 2nd set. Initially, I had some pretty low expectations for the Winterforce, mileage-wise, when I purchased them. The 60,000 miles that I was able to get out of them really did surprise me...even staying in good shape through a pretty troublesome swaybar/shock issue. I drove on these year-round, rotating every 6-12k miles. They do get really soft on hot summer days, but the fact that they almost feel soft on 10 degree days is what's amazing. I wish these tires could be crossed when rotating them; however, the fact that they're directional is probably part of the reason why they work as well as they do. Ice, slush, deep snow....these things do it all! The extra road noise is tolerable. When these tires were new, I would drive down a stretch of concrete highway that literally made my little truck sound like a full-size 4wd rolling down the road. Seemed to me that the noise was quietest around the 20-25k mile mark. Overall...good pick in my book!
