The AlitMAX 365 AW is General's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for the drivers of family sedans, coupes, crossovers and SUVs who want the versatile performance provided by an all-weather tire in a variety of weather conditions, including light snow traction that meets the industry's severe snow service requirements and is branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
The AltiMAX 365 AW features a high-silica, all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric pattern designed to blend dry and wet traction with enhanced wintry weather grip. The center rib's lower sipe density allows for increased steering feel and promotes even wear, with the added benefit of helping maintain noise comfort throughout the tire's life. The AltiMAX 365 AW utilizes a Sinusoidal Siping System for increased inclement weather traction while helping maintain dry road handling. Large lateral channels feed wide, circumferential grooves for efficient hydroplaning resistance, helping enhance wet weather stability. Additional Traction Teeth are also molded into the Waved Groove design which, in conjunction, helps increase biting edges in snow and slush for improved grip in difficult winter conditions.
Internal construction of the AltiMAX 365 AW consists of a single ply casing for a smooth, comfortable ride. Twin steel belts are incorporated to maximize strength and durability along with a polyamide reinforcement for stability at higher speeds.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...just this past weekend I got caught driving in some of the worst rain I've ever driven in. Began on the highways where I was easily and confidently able to drive 60+ mph without the slightest hint of hydroplaining. On the less traveled back roads the tires clung to the road without the slightest bit of resistance...
I have been a loyal customer to a different tire company for many many years. I bought a used vehicle which needed a new set. While perusing tires here I came across these Generals. What caught my eye about these Altimax tires was despite being in the all-weather category they are also extreme conditions weather rated. This is important to me because I live in an extremely snowy area. I have had general tires in the past and had good luck with them so I figured I'd give these a try. So far so good!
Dry Conditions... they grip great. Low road noise. And great around corners.
Wet Conditions... just this past weekend I got caught driving in some of the worst rain I've ever driven in. Began on the highways where I was easily and confidently able to drive 60+ mph without the slightest hint of hydroplaining. On the less traveled back roads the tires clung to the road without the slightest bit of resistance. Even when driving though some deep puddles extending into the street
It will be snowing here soon and will edit this post to contain snowy conditions.
Overall: So far I am really happy with these general tires. Side by side with other comparable tires I think these are great tires for the price. Interested In seeing how they hold up over time.

...The following day I a snow storm hit (we got 9" that day) and it gave me a good chance to test the snow traction. It was GREAT!! I confidently sliced through the snow and made it to/from my destination save and sound...
I bought these for my 2007 BMW 328xi. I primarily use the car as my commuter and it finally came time to replace the tires. I decided to go with these General's, as I wanted some All-Season's that would also be decent in the winter (I live in WI). The tires arrived quickly, as usual, and I got them put on the next day. The following day I a snow storm hit (we got 9" that day) and it gave me a good chance to test the snow traction. It was GREAT!! I confidently sliced through the snow and made it to/from my destination save and sound. I was definitely impressed and will likely order again...but we'll see how tread wear goes.

I bought and installed these tires in early December just before snow season in upstate NY, and I'm glad I did. I have driven through light, heavy snow and ice with no problems. The tires have gripped the road well even on hard packed snow. If they can handle Upstate Winters I think they will be fine when the weather warms up. (June?) Would recommend them to others.

I had this installed on my 2018 Acura RDX AWD (with 75,000 miles). Excellent tire! the recent January 2026 snow storm tested this tire well. Snow traction was excellent, the vehicle's ABS / traction control didn't even detect a slip during my drive (200 miles) from the Catskills NY back to NJ. The combined highway and city roads during the height of the snow storm was treacherous and the tires kept the car driving straight and never felt any slip or lost of traction. Quiet and comfortable on dry traction, great grip on heavy rains as well.

...Comfort is definite step up from the original Toyo Celsius tires...
sTraction control has never come on even on icy roads. Comfort is definite step up from the original Toyo Celsius tires. Avoid Michelin tires- there are plagued with the dry rot problems. I will buy General Tires again, they have Continental expertise built into the tires.

...The tires are quiet and feel a bit on the soft side, which makes the ride pretty comfortable...
Good control in both wet and dry conditions. The tires are quiet and feel a bit on the soft side, which makes the ride pretty comfortable. They feel stickier to the ground, and the braking distance is noticeably shorter than stock tires. My MPG dropped slightly from 32.3 to 31.1, but the comfort and control easily make up for that. And the price was reasonable. I can’t wait to see how they perform in the snow.
Overall, I’m really happy with the purchase. I’d definitely buy them again unless I want to try CrossClimate 2 next time.
...With the depth of the tread I expected a bit of noise at high speeds but they are very quiet. They also create a very comfortable ride.
I had these tires installed the day we had a small snow storm. I was able to get into my driveway no problem. I didn't spin at all. With the depth of the tread I expected a bit of noise at high speeds but they are very quiet. They also create a very comfortable ride.
