Customers frequently award dry traction with 9s and 10s, emphasizing responsive handling and confident grip. While a minority report lower scores, the tire delivers strong summer performance as intended.

...Good cornering on dry roads...
Noisy from the start. Good cornering on dry roads. Very poor wet traction. I don't think these tires are safe in the snow. Putting on Michelins and that should take care of the problem. I have another identical Lexus with Michelins and the ride is pristine.

...They are comfortable, and grip the road fairly well...
I'm only writing this review because of the utter shock of how horrible these tires are. Within 5,000 miles, the two front sets of tires have been replaced twice due to bubbling on the sidewalls. Two of these 4 tires were replaced within 1000 miles. Stay FAR away from these tires as they are utter crap. I'm having to replace the rears because of uneven wear, and within 5000 miles they are almost bald.
They are comfortable, and grip the road fairly well, but longevity is definitely not part of their design. Having owned 8 different cars in 15 years, I've never had to replace a tire due to impact damage or pot-holes, and within 6 months of owning this car, I've replaced 4 Gooodyear Excellence already. Seems WAY too extreme.

While some customers rate wet traction highly (7-10), numerous scores between 0-6 indicate mediocre wet performance. Concerns include slippery handling and hydroplaning tendencies, disappointing for a summer tire designed for wet conditions.

...These tires are LOUD with marginal performance in wet and dry weather...
Absolutely the WORST tires ever on a BMW sedan! These tires are LOUD with marginal performance in wet and dry weather. They are harsh riding, under performing for grip, and transmit vibrations into the car at highway speeds between 55 mph to 75 mph that are unbelievably terrible for any car! I've had the wheels and tires inspected for damage, rebalanced, and still the vibrations are transmitted through the car. With different tires, no vibrations are transmitted into the car. Driving on a long trip through Indiana and Michigan at 75 mph, these tires vibrated the car harshly, as if all four wheels were bent. I would NOT consider these tires for my car.

...There is zero rim protection, they are TERRIBLE in rain, and I bubbled three of them in 15,000 miles...
These tires came as OE on my 2011 535i. There is zero rim protection, they are TERRIBLE in rain, and I bubbled three of them in 15,000 miles. We had to yell at both BMW and Goodyear to have them replaced under warranty (BMW was useless; Goodyear took some effort). They are complete, utter, without question crap. In 16,000 miles on other tires (Michelin Primacy HP ZP), I've hit more potholes and had fewer problems (other than wear).

...Very unpredictable in the wet...
These tires were OEM for me. Worst I have ever experienced. Very unpredictable in the wet. Very hard and uncomfortable in dry. Short tread life. Switched to a set of Continental runflats which are superior to these Goodyears! But I know there must be better.

Comfort ratings show concerning splits, with many scoring 0-5 citing harsh ride, unbearable noise, and low comfort. While some give 7-10, frequent complaints of jarring bumps and loud road noise highlight significant dissatisfaction.

...They were horrible: the ride was mediocre for a luxury sedan like the 750, road noise was loud...
The worst set of tires I've ever owned. I hate run flat tires, but sadly they are the only option for BMWs now as they no longer include spare tires. (A consequence I assume of the continuing effort to reduce vehicle weight to increase gas mileage.) And as I have the optional 20 inch wheels, the only tires available are these Goodyears and the Pirellis I replaced them with--both summer tires. Fortunately we live in south Texas where winter conditions are rare, but that precludes us from driving the car up north in winter time. Otherwise, I'll have to spend the $2300 required for snow tires in order to drive in the winter ($5000 if I get additional wheels to keep the snow tires permanently mounted). So why this review? Two days ago the driver side front blew out completely after only 9,000 miles of use. When checking the rest of the tires discovered the passenger side front had sidewall bulges. One front rim was bent and am in process of having it repaired by dealership (if they can't then it's another $760 for a new rim). Replaced all four with Pirelli P Zero RFTs at a cost of $2300. I am aghast that BMW decided to use Goodyear for the OEM tires. They were horrible: the ride was mediocre for a luxury sedan like the 750, road noise was loud, handling and traction were not up to BMW standards. What a shame as the rest of the car is stunning in its quality and performance. I am considering going to a different size wheel in order to increase the available tire selection (i.e., all season). I am also extremely disappointed in Goodyear. What used to be an exceptional U.S. tire manufacturer has degraded into producing junk that won't last a year in normal driving. Do not buy these tires. And BMW--Go back to spare tires so I can use decent performance tires instead of this run flat garbage. Thank goodness this happened in town rather than out on I-10 in the country where I'd have to wait hours to have my car towed (instead of changing my tire and going on my way).

...very, very harsh riding and loud...bubbles started in the treads after about 25,000 which made them louder...
OEM from MINI..very, very harsh riding and loud.....bubbles started in the treads after about 25,000 which made them louder....
If all RUN-FLATS are like this...NO THANKS!!........replacing with Ultra High Performance All Season....that's what most of the other MINI drivers seem to do with great results......Bridgestones on my 911s. Michelins also with less desirable results....Conti's on the truck.....both have been great.....thought I'd try the spec tire of European sedan racing series....HANKOOK....look for that post shortly.......I would NEVER buy the tires that came on the MINI......never.

...These are loud and vibrate on the freeway with speeds above 100 km/hr...
Had this tyre on my vehicle from factory. Fortunately I was smart enough to get the tyre insurance from day 1. I have gone through 4 tyres in the front due to bubbling with minor pot hole impacts and just had a flat tyre yesterday and was surprised to learn that the tyre wore out to the wires on one side and was heading there in the other side on the rear ones!! I have only put 30K kilometers on these and they certainly shouldnt be that worn out.. These are loud and vibrate on the freeway with speeds above 100 km/hr. their traction in the wet is also sub par given they are rated ultimate performance. BMW should not have picked this to be an OEM tyre. The worst tyre i have ever had hands down!

Treadwear disappoints with many 0-4 scores citing rapid wear and early replacement. While some 9-10s exist, excessive wear and dissatisfaction dominate, indicating poor tread life for a Grand Touring Summer tire.

...I bought a new set 1 year ago and after 9000 miles, they are completely bald with uneven tread wear despite balancing and alignment...
This is the worst tire I have ever purchased. These tires came with my BMW 750i. I bought a new set 1 year ago and after 9000 miles, they are completely bald with uneven tread wear despite balancing and alignment. I will never buy these tires again and will caution anyone else to do the same. DO NOT BUY THIS TIRE.
