The Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar® is Goodyear's premium On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for light truck drivers looking to combine on-road competence with off-road versatility. Offered in Standard Load sizes for half-ton vehicles, Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires are also available in Pro-Grade Load Range E sizes for three-quarter and one-ton pickup trucks, vans and SUVs that regularly haul or tow heavy loads.

Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires feature a longwearing, specialized rubber tread compound (Pro-Grade tires use an even more chip- and chunk-resistant tread compound that enhances wear in high-torque applications). These compounds are molded into a multi-faceted symmetric tread design that combines rugged looks along with on-road comfort and off-road traction. Open shoulder blocks and traction ridges at the base of the outboard circumferential grooves help clear mud and snow (Pro-Grade tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol).

The sidewall rubber compound features Goodyear's Durawall Technology to protect the olyester cord body by resisting cuts, punctures, scuffing and abrasion

The tire's internal tructure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced by a spirally wrapped layer of next-generation DuPont Kevlar* cord to combine strength with comfort (Pro-Grade belts feature thicker steel cords reinforced by two layers of spirally wrapped DuPont Kevlar cord).

Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar (On-Road All-Terrain)
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab in the parking lot
A behind-the-wheel experience on the autocross course showed Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure tires gripped the corners on wet asphalt.

Goodyear provided an opportunity to experience their Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar® tires in Colorado Springs, CO, one of America’s top areas for outdoor recreational activities. They offered several on-road and dirt-road experiences behind the wheel of a variety of SUVs and pickup trucks in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains.

Driving a long wheelbase Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab through a parking lot autocross course may not be the most intuitive way to experience an On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire. However, its asphalt handling and traction are very important since this type of tire will typically spend more time on-road than off. And while no one would mistake this vehicle/tire combination for a sporty coupe on Goodyear Eagle performance tires, the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar provided good grip, predictable handling and capable stopping traction in both dry and wet conditions.

In order to cover today’s ever-growing range of light truck vehicles, Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires are available in Standard Load metric sizes, as well as heavy-duty Load Range E LT-metric sizes. Goodyear identifies the heavy-duty sizes as Pro Grade tires for drivers who work hard and play hard, and are often faced with hauling heavy loads or towing large trailers for work or recreation. A 1 ½-hour scenic drive would provide the opportunity to experience both versions.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab on a hill
Driving on Rocky Mountain canyon roads demonstrated the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure lived up to its name on gravel and dirt.

Starting out from Colorado Springs in a Chevrolet Tahoe on the 265/70R17 Standard Load metric tires, the route headed south on the road. The Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires provided appropriate ride qualities and proved to be very quiet on the road. The route went into the mountains and followed the canyon roads to higher elevations. As the asphalt ended and the graded dirt roads began, the tires’ open shoulders and multi-faceted tread blocks delivered predictable steering response and traction on dirt.

Reaching the mid-point destination, we had the opportunity to change vehicles and drive a Ram 1500 Crew Cab on Pro Grade LT265/70R17 Load Range E tires for our return. The Ram’s driver doorjamb tire placard called for 40 psi cold inflation pressures and we were again treated to a quiet, comfortable ride for the trip back to town.

While we didn’t get a chance to truly challenge the off-road capabilities of the Kevlar-reinforced treads or Durawall Technology sidewall rubber, past experience confirms both contribute to the tire’s toughness and strength.

...Also happy with their dry and wet traction so far.

We haven't had these tires for too long as they came on our new GC Trailhawk. Most miles to this point have been highway, but we will start adding offroad mileage soon. They ride is good and they don't make a lot of noise. Also happy with their dry and wet traction so far.

I mainly drive highways in all weather conditions, these tires really shine on snow and ice as well as on wet roads...

I have these tires on my 2015 GMC 2500HD Duramax and are by far the best tire I've owned. I mainly drive highways in all weather conditions, these tires really shine on snow and ice as well as wet roads. I pull a 35' fifth wheel occasionally along with a couple of flatbed trailers however most of the time I'm commuting. They're quite and ride nice, I just hit 35,000 miles and have a lot of tread left.

...These are smooth and quiet, plus they grip amazingly well in wet and dry conditions...

Replaced my BFG All Terrains with these Goodyears Wranglers. No comparison in the difference in noise. These are smooth and quiet, plus they grip amazingly well in wet and dry conditions. Gravel roads are no problem for them. I drive on some really bad gravel that actually takes chucks out of other tires. These Goodyears have held up like champs. They are decent in the mud, but obviously not a mud terrain tire. Snow traction was surprisingly good too. There isn't anything these tires have not able to do and the tread wear has been better than any tires I've ever had. I'll never buy another brand than Goodyear.

...We had a big snow storm with 35deg temps yesterday, which left 3 of icy slush on the roads. No problem. Today, the temp dropped to 22deg, so the now the slush has frozen solid. No problem...

This is the 5th set of tires I've had on this truck. It's a company vehicle that I've driven since it was new. I drive in all weather conditons, and all off-road conditions for the work I do. Putting these tires on was like geting beefed-up shocks. It handles and corners like a mid-sized sedan now. The traction is excellent in all conditions. We had a big snow storm with 35deg temps yesterday, which left 3" of icy slush on the roads. No problem. Today, the temp dropped to 22deg, so the now the slush has frozen solid. No problem. Very happy with these tires, just glad I didn't have to pay for them myself:)

...I would say traction is better, had about 8 of heavy wet snow fall on us last night, I drove 60 miles to work in all kinds of roadway --------, no issues. Any road condition you can think of in winter weather, all but driving during a blizzard, I just faced it... Alright, let me explain a little here. I mainly graded alot of 9s' for the fact that nothing is ever perfect, these are ---- near there. Okay, I have driven on dry, wet, light snow, heavy snow, slush, icy asphalt (city and hwy). I use to run the Firestone Destination A/Ts, however there was a rebate on this tire so I said what the heck why not. I did, and couldn't be happier. Although traction is great it doesn't mean it gives you a license to drive like an A-hole. I would say traction is better, had about 8" of heavy wet snow fall on us last night, I drove 60 miles to work in all kinds of roadway --------, no issues. Any road condition you can think of in winter weather, all but driving during a blizzard, I just faced it. I waited for this opportunity to rate these tires. My truck is a diesel, a Dodge at that, so the ride isn't that smooth to begin with (can compare to a lumber wagon), and engine noise is kinda up there too. I did not notice any uncomfortable noise from the tires (howling). I thought I would considering the luggy type tread, but I am happy with the noise level...which like I said I don't hear...LOL. Anyway, I have driven on dry pavement, steering is a breeze, handles nice in all kinds of dry road situations. I was really impressed by the snow/slush/ice stopping ability, and upon take off not much for spinning or loss of traction...really impressed. I may add another review later when the weather warms and I start hauling my camper...yes these are an E-rated tire...so stiff to begin with and ride is actually nice. I was going to mention that I have driven on rocky, gravel, sandy (hard pack and loose) types of roadways...handled the conditions very well, I was very impressed by the American made tire as in the past I had one model of Goodyear that was junk in the past, these have won me over on the steady truck tire for me. I know my review is all over the place but the handling in the snow related junk is excellent IMO.

...The dry and wet traction is unbelievable even when empty...

I will review again after winter but wanted to submit my initial impressions. Wow! If you have the F250 or F350 diesel you need this tire. It blows the OEM tire out of the water. I changed the OEM to a Cooper AT at less than 20K because it was worthless in the snow and ice. The cooper was somewhat better if I kept enough weight in the bed but it wore out fast and the steering response and ride were disappointing even when new. They were worn out at 30K miles. Popped a tire (on gravel) in August and bought these. I have about 1500 miles on the tires about half of them off road and some on roads that are technical with large rocks. The other half is highway. I do very little city driving with this rig. I haul a 5000 lb camper and tow a 5000 lb boat frequently. The dry and wet traction is unbelievable even when empty, I can't wait to try them in the snow.

The sidewalls are stiff and you have to use a tire shop that has high pressure mounting to seat the tire. They balanced with very little weight and the ride is very smooth, am literally dumbfounded how such a stout tire rides so nice. Again, I don't know about Chevy or Dodge but if you have the diesel Ford you will not be disappointed.

When new, these tires had excellent traction in most conditions...

When new, these tires had excellent traction in most conditions. They are terrible in mud and wet grass. I live in Montana a mile off the pavement down a gravel/dirt road. That's about 1500 miles per year off pavement. These tires did NOT hold up. I'm replacing them today flush on the tread wear bars. Tires were installed December 30,2015. They lasted 20 months with about 18,000 miles. Treadwear is garbage. Switching to Cooper with 55,000 mile tread warranty. Don't buy these if you're looking for longevity in a tire.

...They are incredibly quiet and comfortable tires for being so beefy...

I have had these tires for about 4 years now with around 30000 miles on them. They are fantastic tires other then the tread life is terrible. I have had all 4 replaced under warranty because they were down to the wear bars at 30k. They are incredibly quiet and comfortable tires for being so beefy. I suggest them for off road use only. I loved them when I was out in the country and offroading. They were impossible to get stuck and performed great in almost any condition. The only downside is they didn't last but about half the tire warranty. If you are looking for a great off road tire this is it. If you are looking for an on road and off road tire be aware that these failed early.

...On the highway they are very quiet and smooth, delivering a safe care free journey...

We've got 24,000 miles on this set of tires and they have been great. I have them rotated every 5,000 miles and the wear appears very even and not extreme. We live in rural Montana and while the main highways are in very good condition the side roads are ill maintained and vary from rock to gumbo mud . While the gumbo often requires 4 WD the tires have yet to create any doubts about making it through. On the higway they are very quite and smooth, delivering a safe care free journey. Great tire !!

...Quiet, easy to drive and handling in all conditions prior to any snow has been excellent. May main concern was noise and traction - no worries at all...

Purchased a used F-150 with 44,000 miles, it had the Goodyear Wranglers on it already, at that mileage 2 of the 4 were still in good shape, the other 2 looked like wear due to lack of rotating on a regular basis. Even so, the noise and traction was good. I researched tires and stayed with Goodyear Wranglers - added 4 new and kept the older 2 for spares. So far, very, very impressed. Quiet, easy to drive and handling in all conditions prior to any snow has been excellent. May main concern was noise and traction - no worries at all. Definitely will come back to this tire when I need a new set.

...These tires held up great to what I expected from them, the only downfall was the treadwear. That ----ed, warranty of 60,000 and I got 23,500 and they are down to 2/32 or less ( rotated per dealer specs, every 5k)...

Ok, so I was really undecided on this tire and hesitant to come back to GoodYear, had the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo previously, but I was pleasantly surprised. These tires held up great to what I expected from them, the only downfall was the treadwear. That ----ed, warranty of 60,000 and I got 23,500 and they are down to 2/32 or less (rotated per dealer specs, every 5k). Not pleased about that, but I did get 2 - 1/2 years out of them. I drive a Ram 1500 4x4 truck, mostly highway but some off-roading when I can. These were a P tire, not the LT version, so right there I did expect to get a little less life out of them. When they do run down low the balance seems to get thrown off and there is a vibration. This could be due to them being almost bald though. The handling was great, I enjoyed them in the Upstate New York winters, never had a problem, never got stuck. I would stay with them but I am going to try a different brand for my next tire and see how they do. I will be sticking with LT tires from now on. Learned my lesson going with a P rated tire. Overall I would recommend and would get them again, just the LTs though.

...The tires now still have lots of tread left but I started searching for their replacements later this year... I took pictures to back up my claim but do not see a way to post my tires, mileage and tread life remaining...

I gave this tire all 10's on my review except for the snow traction since we do not have much in Alabama. I rotate the tires each time I change the oil at 10,000 miles. They have never been balanced since they came with the truck from the factory and still ride smooth. The tires now still have lots of tread left but I started searching for their replacements later this year. I saw some of the negative reviews and had to comment on my experience. I took pictures to back up my claim but do not see a way to post my tires, mileage and tread life remaining. I've owned BFG, Michelin, Bridgestone and Uniroyal tires in the past. I also owned some Goodyear tires in the past that were not good on my old Camero. But these tires are the best I have ever owned and with out a doubt I'll go back with new ones this fall.
