The Kinergy GT is Hankook's Grand Touring All-Season tire originally developed for Original Equipment use on vehicles from Honda, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen. It is designed to provide a quiet and comfortable driving experience combined with traction in all weather conditions, even light snow.
The Kinergy GT molds a silica-infused, all-season compound into a symmetric, five-rib tread pattern. The rigid center rib aids traction for acceleration and braking performance, and the high-modulus bead filler increases sidewall stiffness for responsive steering. The high-grip silica tread compound delivers wet traction, while wide lateral notches and four circumferential grooves evacuate water from beneath the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance. Multiple tread sipes feature chamfered edges to maximize contact area on slippery surfaces, providing confident all-season traction.
Internal construction of the Kinergy GT features two wide, steel belts with a full-width nylon reinforcement (in most sizes) for improved handling, durability and high-speed stability. A body casing made from polyester cord helps manage the trade-off between handling and comfort, while the strong, jointless bead wire enhances uniformity for a smoother ride.

Feedback consistently shows the Hankook Kinergy GT delivers strong dry traction (scores 8-10) with responsive handling, meeting expectations for a Grand Touring All-Season tire. However, comfort receives mixed feedback, with some noting excessive road noise and harshness. Treadwear scores (often 0-5) raise concerns about longevity, a notable drawback for an all-season tire. Winter traction shows inconsistency, particularly on ice and in deep snow, with scores ranging widely (0-8). Wet traction is generally adequate (scores 5-8), though some report reduced hydroplaning resistance. While dry performance shines, buyers prioritizing comfort or winter capability may find limitations.

...Wet and dry traction have been very good...
I don't understand all of the poor reviews for this tire. They are OE on my 2023 Trailblazer and I haven't experienced any problems. After 28000 miles they show very little tread wear and I have no doubt they'll last another 28000 miles easy. They ride very smooth, but could be a little quieter. Wet and dry traction have been very good. Never experienced any hydroplaning.

The tires came standard on the 2024 Toyota Camry. Pros: Quiet Tire, good dry handling. Okay in wet (rain) conditions Con: below average light snow conditions, poor deeper snow, not good treadlife on a 70,000 mile tire. 17,000 miles only 8/32 left so probably at 40000 miles will not pass inspection. Also hitting a pothole (PA crap roads) led to a sidewall cut and these tires are pretty expensive $230 average. So no way would I purchase these tires again, there are better options

Wet traction scores show concerning inconsistency, with many ratings between 0-6. Customers report a slippery feel, tendency to hydroplane, and mediocre wet performance for this all-season tire, indicating significant room for improvement.

...Wet traction and hydroplaning resistance is non existent with this tire, any time it rains you will be fighting to keep the vehicle on the road, steering feel is numb, dull, and lifeless...
This is from a few years ago. I purchased a brand new 2020 accord with these tires, there was only 12 miles on the odometer… anyone saying they’re driving style is spirited on this tire is lying. By far the noisiest, harshest most horrific traction and ride quality I’ve ever experienced on a tire. The fronts were worn before 10k miles despite average driving style, take the advice of all the other low reviews that this tire has. Wet traction and hydroplaning resistance is non existent with this tire, any time it rains you will be fighting to keep the vehicle on the road, steering feel is numb, dull, and lifeless. Winter conditions? You’re better off walking. Dry traction? Average-bad at best.

Winter traction ratings show concerning scores, with many 0-5s for ice and deep snow. Customers report slippery conditions, getting stuck, and lack of winter traction despite its all-season intent.

...Now this winter has been a nightmare even with my cautious driving. We haven't even gotten that deep of snow yet and even in just an inch or two, the traction control light comes on frequently and I almost didn't make it up a very slight hill. I'm getting them replaced immediately before we get some bigger snowstorms...
These came with the vehicle. The car was my grandmother's in Florida and she barely drove it, gifted it to me when she decided to go down to 1 car. I moved it up to Massachusetts where I didn't notice really any problems with it over the summer and fall, but I am a super cautious driver and always drive slow in the rain as I'm used to older used cars. Now this winter has been a nightmare even with my cautious driving. We haven't even gotten that deep of snow yet and even in just an inch or two, the traction control light comes on frequently and I almost didn't make it up a very slight hill. I'm getting them replaced immediately before we get some bigger snowstorms. The tread is also under 2/32 already. The roads up here are bad, but I haven't even hit 40,000 miles. Tires have been rotated frequently enough, I think it's just what other reviewers are saying, these do not last as they're supposed to. I'm curious to what I'll notice with my new tires (Pirelli Scorpions) in the dry and wet conditions as they're rated so much higher. Other reviewers spoke unfavorably but I'm not too experienced or well-versed in the world of cars, so I probably didn't notice and I'm looking forward to the improvement. Would not recommend these, especially if you drive in any amount of snow.

...Wet traction is horrible and don't even get me started with snow...
These came with my Camry and OMG why Toyota, just why? These are by far the worst tires I have ever driven on. When I got my Camry I thought it was a little rough. Bumps and potholes seemed to be alot more harsh then I ever thought a Camry should be. I even thought it might have been a suspension issue, it wasnt. It was the tires. The people who say they are quiet must be confusing tire noise for engine noise. These are insanely loud. Wet traction is horrible and don't even get me started with snow. If somebody told me these were some cheap no name Chinese knock offs, I would believe them. Shame on Toyota for ever using these as stock on any vehicle. Get the Continental TrueContact Tour 54, you'll thank me for it.

While some rate comfort highly with 9s-10s, numerous scores between 0-6 highlight harsh ride, unbearable noise, and dissatisfaction. Many report low comfort and poor ride quality, conflicting with Grand Touring expectations.

These are the LOUDEST, most uncomfortable tires I have ever used. I do not recommend these if you want to keep any sort of mental sanity while driving. Everything inside your cab will shake, even with it balancing out perfectly...
These tires have good grip, buuut that’s about all they have going for them. These are the LOUDEST, most uncomfortable tires I have ever used. I do not recommend these if you want to keep any sort of mental sanity while driving. Everything inside your cab will shake, even with it balancing out perfectly. They made these tires wayyy too hard, I’ve seen trailer tires softer than these. DO NOT BUY!

...They also are very firm tire, so potholes reverberate throughout the entire car, even when I have the set up on "comfort"...
These are the OEM tires on my GLI and they just ruin the overall experience. They are very, very loud at any speed or on any highway above 50 mph! I have to to turn up the radio very loud to hear conversations. They also are very firm tire, so potholes reverberate throughout the entire car, even when I have the set up on "comfort". Hankook is also impossible to deal with. Their customer service was completely indifferent to my concerns or needs. I will NEVER willingly by Hankook tires based on this experience. Avoid this tire at all costs.

...These tires perform well over potholes but feel harsh and stiff over smaller cracks and bumps. These tires let in a lot of the road texture and vibration into the cabin, reducing the overall quality and comfort sensation...
I have a 2024 Honda Accord EX-L hybrid, which came with these tires when I got the car brand new. The tires were decent at first, but as they've worn even after a few thousand miles, they transmit a lot of road noise but minimal tire slap. These tires perform well over potholes but feel harsh and stiff over smaller cracks and bumps. These tires let in a lot of the road texture and vibration into the cabin, reducing the overall quality and comfort sensation. On coarse, textured asphalt, these tires are insanely loud and transmit so much vibration! But on typical city roads, they are below average in their class, but are acceptable. The tires only have about 13,000 miles on them and have already lost quite a bit of tread despite being a hypermiler on some occasions.
Vehicle: 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L Miles Driven on Tires: 13,000 Driving Conditions: Mostly City Location: DALLAS, TX Driving Style: Average
Treadwear ratings reveal significant dissatisfaction, with many scores between 0-5 citing premature wear, rapid tread loss, and needing replacement early. While some rate 7-10, frequent low scores highlight poor longevity for a Grand Touring tire, with customers disappointed in mileage and excessive wear.

...I don't beat up the tires when I drive, stay on top of inflations, rotated at 5,000 and 10,000 miles...and replaced them at 15,000 miles due to treadwear. Worst treadwear I've ever had in 40+ years and over a million miles driven...

Only have just over 20k miles on these and there appears to be fairly significant treadwear already... Really disappointed with treadwearcompared Conti's I had on my old car.
Only have just over 20k miles on these and there appears to be fairly significant treadwear already. I do not drive like a 17 year old, it's a hybrid, not exactly a speed/cornering demon. Traction seems ok. Really disappointed with treadwear compared Conti's I had on my old car.
