Customers praise the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2's wet traction, with most scoring 8-10 for confident grip and hydroplaning resistance. A few lower scores (3-6) note reduced performance in heavy rain, but overall it delivers strong wet-weather capability for all-season driving.

...For dry and wet performance, these tires are superb! No hydroplane or grip issues at 80+ mph in heavy rain...
I have about 5k miles on these Hankook S1 nobles (put them on around early June). For dry and wet performance, these tires are superb! No hydroplane or grip issues at 80+ mph in heavy rain.
Recently I made a long (200 mile) journey to up state new york using the tires and it was a mix of heavy rain, slush, and snow. The tires handled great at a solid 50-65 mph on the highway, with limited slippage. They only slipped a little when changing lanes, which was understandable because there was blocks of slush on top of the lane markers.
Surprisingly, I was even able to make it up my steep hill with about 2 inches of snow on it, and my AWD didn't even kick in for it! (infiniti orange AWD logo kicks on if it activates when slipping)
Tires are very stable at high speeds of 100+ mph, and the handling is pretty predicable when cornering, almost on par with a dedicated summer tire. Noise and comfort level is just marginally worse than the previous Goodyear comfortred touring tires I took off, which is great for a performance tire.
I do not have experience in heavy snow as yet, but I look forward to tackling it! Definitely will buy this tire again.

I love these tires. replaced my OEM tires for 2011 Infinit G37x. they beat OEM tires in every aspect (quite smooth ride, grabs the road very well, good traction on wet road as well). it could be mental but i think i get better highway mileage too. the only thing i regret at this moment is that my lease is up in 6 month and i didn't get these tires earlier.

...Very impressed with them over the first approx 1000 miles that they have been on the vehicle. Quieter than the Goodyears, just as smooth as the Goodyears, and much better traction (both dry and wet, no experience with snow yet)...
Recently replaced the Goodyear Eagle RSA's that came from the factory with these Hankooks. HUGE Improvement! Very impressed with them over the first approx 1000 miles that they have been on the vehicle. Quieter than the Goodyears, just as smooth as the Goodyears, and much better traction (both dry and wet, no experience with snow yet). Was a bit worried about this purchase at first, since the survey sample size was much smaller than the similarly rated (but much more expensive) Conti's, plus the price for these Hankooks seemed too good to be true based on the performance ratings. As always, TireRack provided great info, and I don't regret the purchase decision for an instant! I would definitely buy another set of these.

Most customers give the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 excellent dry traction scores of 9-10, praising responsive handling and reliable grip. While a few ratings fall between 5-7, the majority highlight confident performance in dry conditions for all-season ultra-high performance use.

...They do very well on dry roads, even when pushed around curves and jug handles they maintain control...
First time to try this brand (Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2) based on reviews. Ride is smooth with very good handling, very low road noise. They do very well on wet and dry roads, even when pushed around curves and jug handles they maintain control. Their ice traction is not good (though I have not had an A/S tire yet that has had "good"ice traction. They seem to be wearing faster than anticipated, as they are about half worn at 20K. Very pleased overall, but would have liked to see better wear for the money.

...Dry Traction - Great. Corners well. With the drive mode set to Sport handles on and off ramps at speed with minimal body roll and no tire squeal...
I was a little taken aback when my Genesis 3.8 HTRAC was delivered with Hankook tires. I just didn't equate Hankook with luxury - but then again there are a lot of people who don't equate Hyundai with luxury. So like the Hyundai Genesis is a luxury car by any standard, the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 (quite a name there!) needs to be evaluated by what it does not what it's name is. So as to the big questions: ride, noise, dry traction, wet traction, snow traction - here goes.
Ride - Excellent. Inflated to the 35 psi noted on the tire placard the ride is composed and the tires soak up impacts quite well. As good as any tires I have had before and better than many.
Noise - Very quite. That may be more a function of the car as Hyundai engineers put sound deadning material throughout the Genesis.
Dry Traction - Great. Corners well. With the drive mode set to "Sport" handles on and off ramps at speed with minimal body roll and no tire squeal.
Wet Traction - Had a couple of real "gully washers" the last couple of weeks and the tires did very well. Felt very stable at highway speeds with no drama and no evedence at all of hydroplaneing. Corners well and accelerates extremely well. I like these in the wet.
Snow Traction - Unknown. It was 95 degrees when I bought the car in late June and it's been in the high 80's and 90's ever since. Not much chance for snow yet. But in three or four months that will change. I will report back after I have a chance to drive it in the snow.
Would I buy these tires again. Most probably I will since they are a "known quantity". At my age I do not like a lot of drama. That's why I bought a Genesis Sedan instead of a Mustang GT

...It has a very comfortable supple ride and seems very stable in the turns with predictable drift when cornered with enthusiasm...
Even though I haven't driven many miles on these tires and only on dry pavement I can already tell it's a superior grade tire.
In the past I've driven Kumho, Yamamah Avid, Continental Conti Pro Contact and Nitto; I can say without reservation that the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 has the best ride comfort and handling combination of any tire I've ever had. It has a very comfortable supple ride and seems very stable in the turns with prdictable drift when cornerd with enthusiasm. Smooth as glass would be a good description. Can't comment on wet handling and mileage yet but I can definatley say they are a pleasure to drive on. My Ford Focus has an excellent ride handling combination but these tires improve on those assets when compared to the Continental oem tires. Highly recommended so far; Excellent.

...The comfort and quietness was very noticeable over the Dunlop's these replaced, so quiet I easily find myself exceeding the speed I believe I am traveling...
I purchased these Hankook tires based upon the TireRack customer reviews and the TireRack video test summary. I found these tires to be excellent in the short 500 miles for which I have driven on them. The Mid-Atlantic's unpredictable winter weather have proven to be simply a test for these Hankook tires for which they have passed, graciously. In this week's time I have driven on dry, wet, snow and ice covered streets and felt confident the entire way. The comfort and quietness was very noticeable over the Dunlop's these replaced, so quiet I easily find myself exceeding the speed I believe I am traveling. On dry pavement these tires have given positive feedback, track and stick in the turns, and they have been stable to 110mph. I am thoroughly enjoying these Hankook Ventus S1's and look forward to updating my review after a few thousand more miles.

These tires are so much better than the Yokohama Avid that came with the car. They are quieter over rough pavement, grated bridges, highway cruising, and any other road issues. There is no slipping when taking high speed turns. I don't think I could get better tires at the same or higher price.

...Despite that great wear, the tires had huge grip, not as much as a summer performance tire, obviously, but I didn't expect these to handle as well as they did...
I drive the crap out of my M3: every on ramp and off ramp are excuses to test the car and the tires, and as a result they don't last long. One brand of ultra high performance tires only lasted 9,000 miles, and I rarely get more than 12,000. Except for these tires, which took a licking and lasted 28,500! Note that I can't rotate tires because the sizes are staggered, and the camber was set up for track, so that put even more stress in the tire.
Despite that great wear, the tires had a huge grip, not as much as a summer performance tire, obviously, but I didn't expect these to handle as well as they did. Just getting ready to order another set.

Winter traction disappoints, with many scores between 0-5. Customers report slippery in snow, lack of ice grip. Unstable handling raises concerns for all-season use. Some ratings below 3 highlight unacceptable winter performance.

...In the winter we just had, slush made the car unpredictable even at 20mph. Light snow (2-3) i couldnt keep the traction control and abs from going awol...
I purchased these tires back in august '17. I have just under 3200 miles on them, perfect alignment and only one rotation. They are comfortable tires but feel mushy around turns in town, feeling like the sidewalls are rolling under themselves. In the winter we just had, slush made the car unpredictable even at 20mph. Light snow (2-3") i couldnt keep the traction control and abs from going awol. My 92 civic turbo making well over 400whp has way way better traction being awd riding on Falken ze950 tires at half tread, which is sad because i mean in deep snow i can drive my car harder than my Audi. Comparing these Hankooks to my wifes tiger paws the car came with when she bought it, i rather drive her car in really harsh snow and ice before my car on these Hankook s1noble2. Today i had to make evasive manouvers to avoid hitting a horse that was loose on the road and the car just went sideways on me, blowing out my RR tire to pieces and my front has a chunk missing on the sidewall, but still holds air suprisingly, missing a huge oak tree by less than an inch and damaging the whole lower side of my car.
I'm a full time auto mechanic, have installed many many hankooks and cant understand how such a highly known and advertised company can make so many junk tires.
Our Hankook rep had even asked why i chose to put these tires on my car knowing im a Falken and Continental tire fan since i was 14yrs old (35 now) because she doesnt even trust Hankooks reliability. I regret purchasing this tire since the first rain and first snow fall. You want a safe all year tire? Take it from my experience, choose Falken, Michelin, Pirelli and/or continental tires and make the sacrifice of a bit more money than choosing a mediocre tire. Ill be ordering dws '06 tires from TireRack in a few weeks and throwing these Hankooks in the dumpster. I should of listened to our customers complaints here and there, and should of went with my gut, experience and knowledge of other tires ive owned.

...When snow came, all -------- broke loose. The snow traction on these are non existant. If you are considering these and you live im places that snows, do yourself a favor take these off the list...
I got these tires as an alternative to continental extreme contact, both DWS and older models. The reason I got these tires was bc at the time according to tirerack survey, it was ranked higher than Conti's, altho reported miles was alot lower.
Ive had these tires for about a year, not much issues but dry performance is avg. When snow came, all -------- broke loose. The snow traction on these are non existant. If you are considering these and you live im places that snows, do yourself a favor take these off the list. Of course I know that dedicated snow tires are best but for all seasons get the conti extreme contact.
I can confidently say i will never buy these tires again. Ive recommend these to my brother who is hating his life as well.
Terrible experience.

I put these on my Jaguar S-Type and though they are quiet and responsive, I find my car is wandering all over the road. My Michelin X-Ice 3's Winter tires handle better. I reduced the psi/inflation significantly to 25psi get these tires to handle and track properly. Much lower than recommended and probably not good for fuel consumption. Disappointed.

Treadwear ratings reveal a concerning split: many customers scored 0-5, citing premature wear, rapid deterioration, and needing replacement early, while others gave 8-10. Disappointing tread life and excessive wear raise doubts for an Ultra High Performance All-Season tire.

I was looking for a good high-performance all-season tire and decided to give the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 a shot. Wow, what a bad tire. I have just hit 8000 miles and the fronts are completely worn out. My mechanic did the alignment when he put these on and now we need to send them back under warranty. As far as dry handling, they are very good except for the fact that grab every imperfection on the road. When it comes to wet handling, they don't. I never experienced hydroplaning on the highway until I drove with these tires on. I've had this car for a few years and since these tires have been on it, the car is almost evil. I can't to get them off and put something better on.

Purchased these tires for my wife's 2010 Corolla S and after 22,600 miles (1 year and 3 months), we already need to replace them. She drives a mix of city and highway with an average drive type. These tires are no better than any of the other tires on the market and with the EXTREMELY terrible tread wear, I will never buy these tires again. Additionally, as they were the first set of Hankook tires I purchased, I will never purchase from Hankook again. Further, when I did my research on the tire initially, these tires were well rated. I believe that this may have been in error as they did not live up to their potential. Avoid these tires, period.
