The Ventus S1 noble2 (H452) is Hankook's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans looking to combine on-road performance with all-season traction in dry wet and wintry conditions. Designed to provide Hankook's ideal Ultra High Performance All-Season balance, the Ventus S1 noble2 blends handling and cornering performance with all-season traction, even in light snow.

Kontrol Technology is a Hankook philosophy, as well as a set of proprietary innovations applied during tire research, development and production to ensure controlled driving experiences. The "K" denotes "kinetic" to reflect that the interaction of the tire with the road lies at the heart of driving control. Kontrol Technology provides a range of benefits across four areas that drivers identify as key when choosing quality tires: performance, safety, comfort and environmental impact.

Ventus S1 noble2 tires use hybrid compound technology silica that combines wet road traction with lower rolling resistance and longer treadlife. This compound is molded into a sophisticated semi-rib asymmetric tread design that features notched outboard shoulders, intermediate and center ribs to deliver responsive handling and stable cornering in dry conditions. Four circumferential grooves and inboard Aqua Hydro Block technology provide efficient wet traction and braking. Carving edge grooves and 3D sipes promote wet road and wintertime traction without abandoning dry road response and handling.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by a double layer of spirally wrapped nylon to blend handling, high-speed durability and uniform ride quality. Sidewalls are tuned with high-hardness bead fillers and casing plies that promote handling, steering response and ride uniformity. The tire was developed using 3D vibration analysis technology, which produces an advanced mold profile that delivers uniform contact pressure across the footprint to promote even wear and secure braking performance.

Customers Say

Feedback patterns show the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 delivers strong dry traction (scores 8-10) and reliable wet performance with minimal hydroplaning concerns. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with some drivers noting reduced confidence in snow and ice. Comfort stands out for its smooth ride and low noise levels. However, treadwear emerges as a common concern, with multiple reports of rapid wear even under typical all-season use. While praised for its confident handling in dry and wet conditions, potential buyers prioritizing long-term value may want to consider the trade-offs in winter capability and tread life.

This is an excellent tire. I have driven it in heavy rain and it does not hydroplane even at speeds in excell of 75 mph. The road noise is imperceptible. Handling is great. I highly recommend this tire. I researched for weeks and settled on this tire after reading many reviews. I am confident I made a good decision. So far, this has been one of the best tires I have ever owned.

...Tires are very stable at high speeds of 100+ mph, and the handling is pretty predicable when cornering, almost on par with a dedicated summer tire...

I have about 5k miles on these Hankook S1 nobles (put them on around early June). For dry and wet performance, these tires are superb! No hydroplane or grip issues at 80+ mph in heavy rain.

Recently I made a long (200 mile) journey to up state new york using the tires and it was a mix of heavy rain, slush, and snow. The tires handled great at a solid 50-65 mph on the highway, with limited slippage. They only slipped a little when changing lanes, which was understandable because there was blocks of slush on top of the lane markers.

Surprisingly, I was even able to make it up my steep hill with about 2 inches of snow on it, and my AWD didn't even kick in for it! (infiniti orange AWD logo kicks on if it activates when slipping)

Tires are very stable at high speeds of 100+ mph, and the handling is pretty predicable when cornering, almost on par with a dedicated summer tire. Noise and comfort level is just marginally worse than the previous Goodyear comfortred touring tires I took off, which is great for a performance tire.

I do not have experience in heavy snow as yet, but I look forward to tackling it! Definitely will buy this tire again.

...After putting a set of 4 on the STI, I couldn't be happier! My car was transformed... I no longer increase grip pressure on the steering wheel when I encounter a seam in the road, the tires don't tramline and sail over joint in the road without diverting their line...

I purchased this car with OEM Bridgestone summer hi-per tires that were worn out, it was very noisy inside, rough/hard ride, and it tramlined on pavement changes. The seller warned me not to begin winter on these tires. I researched Tire Rack and this new design had the properties I was looking for. I was a little worried as I read some owner feedback about sluggish turn-in and don't expect a summer UHP tire's performance. After putting a set of 4 on the STI, I couldn't be happier! My car was transformed, dramatic lowering of cabin noise, my wife now wants to go in the STI now, vs "it's too loud to talk" from before. Just the quiet cabin would have been plenty, but now the comfort level is also much improved. The car no longer transmits every pebble, bump, imperfection to the driver, now it smooths over the small things, and lessens the pothole impacts. I no longer increase grip pressure on the steering wheel when I encounter a seam in the road, the tires don't tramline and sail over joint in the road without diverting their line. The Hankook's have been great in rain, slush, and 4" of snow, traction and stopping are first rate. They aren't much help on ice, but only a studded tire will help on ice? I am extremely satisfied with the Ventus S1 Noble 2 tires, they have made my STI a joy to drive in everyday use.

Recently replaced the Goodyear Eagle RSA's that came from the factory with these Hankooks. HUGE Improvement! Very impressed with them over the first approx 1000 miles that they have been on the vehicle. Quieter than the Goodyears, just as smooth as the Goodyears, and much better traction (both dry and wet, no experience with snow yet). Was a bit worried about this purchase at first, since the survey sample size was much smaller than the similarly rated (but much more expensive) Conti's, plus the price for these Hankooks seemed too good to be true based on the performance ratings. As always, TireRack provided great info, and I don't regret the purchase decision for an instant! I would definitely buy another set of these.

...so quiet. All I can hear is my engine. No road sounds. No sound from bumps...

My car needed new tires so I purchase them from Tire Rack. They were exactly what I was looking for, speed, quiet, handling, traction, and cheap. I received my tires in Germany within 7 days. I didn't expect them to arrive here so fast. So that was awesome!!! I noticed the difference when I put them on. It was so quiet. All I can hear is my engine. No road sounds. No sound from bumps. Going over a bridge I can barely hear the metal where it change from to the bridge. I love my new tires although I've only had them 3 weeks. I also I got a tire alignment just to ensure they are good quality as well as for long wear. I would definitely purchase these tires again from Tire Rack. Thank you Tire Rack....

Great tires for the money. Replaced the OEM Goodyear Eagle LS-2 tires with these Hankooks and the difference was huge in comparison. The Goodyears are Grand touring a/s vs. this ultra High Performance a/s yet these are smother and more quiet. The traction and cornering is superior to the old tires and my car drives and feels much better. I was never a Goodyear fan and once again I proved to myself a different tire makes a difference in how a car can drive and handle. I would buy these again.

...Ridiculously quiet... First, to the guy who said these were loud tires, and they are loud when going over bumps... buy a new car pal, it certainly is not these tires...

Sick! Sick! Sick!

Hyper-agile, aggressive, responsive, firm yet gummy, corner hugging beast, max water displacement, ridiculously quiet, stops on a dime.

All of those are spot-on adjectives. First, to the guy who said these were loud tires, and they are loud when going over bumps.... buy a new car pal, it certainly is not these tires.

Admittedly, I have spent the last few months looking for the "prefect" tire for my Turbo Sonata. (A fast and quite heavy car). I always knew there was no such thing as a perfect tire, as there was always something that I had to give back, in order to have what I wanted, with regard to various categories. I don't race on a drag strip. I am however, a very "spirited" driver. I also live in Florida so I have no comments on snow, but I have seen others here who say good things about these tires in the snow.

Long story short, this tire is rated #1 in its category for a very good reason. They exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds, and I did NOT give up anything I wanted with this tire, it HAS IT ALL!

I am writing this review with very low miles so far, but I plan to offer an update at 10K. My due diligence taught me that this tire really does have it all, including a very fair tread rating. And by the way, they look amazing on the car. The pics here do not do the tire justice.

The bottom line is, if you told me these were $400 tired I would believe you. I have yet to find one thing that I do not like. Not one.

I conducted weeks of research to find the perfect tire....and I am very happy that it paid off. It's high performance to the Max, yet it's an all season tire. I've had those before, and they were horrible. This time, it's perfect.

Our streets in Florida are either scorching hot, or slick because of a sudden rain. This tire is flawless in both categories.

Lastly, for the price folks.....these are a steal!

...Worst though, was driving the car in little traction in light snow. While I understand these are performance all-season tires, I still expect some drivability in inclement weather from a brand-new tire...

I expected a performance-oriented tire on a new Tesla, and I expected Continental or Michelin branded tires. However, Tesla mounted these Hankook Ventus tires from the factory. In dry weather, the tires were okay -- average grip, average stability -- but were loud and rough. The car itself is a bit loud; with no engine noise and some wind buffeting, tire noise is more prevalent. The exaggerated hum from these tires was irritating. The ride comfort was pretty poor. Bumps were felt even on the smoothest pavement. The car is a performance vehicle, so a stiff ride is expected, but these tires could transmit an impact from a piece of gravel. In wet, the tires were barely adequate, and didn't inspire much confidence on the road. Hydroplaning would have been a concern in another few thousand miles. Worst though, was driving the car in any winter weather, as these tires had little traction in light snow. While I understand these are performance all-season tires, I still expect some drivability in inclement weather from a brand-new tire. Lastly, based on the wear noted at 5000 miles, it's unlikely these tires would have safely lasted beyond 15,000 miles. If you're considering these tires as a replacement set, please look elsewhere for better quality and comfort.

Vehicle is AWD. This is my fifth set of tires in 45,000 miles. All previous tires were summer only, but I drove car year round. First off the tires are quiet ...so far. Steering response is sure mushier than with the previous Firestone F1's. I have had to adjust my driving because high-speed handling is different both at 50 degrees and at 10 degrees. We had 5 inches of snow here on Tuesday and they did well, but not so well in the ice. If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten some take-off wheels and put Blizzaks on them like my wifes ML350 has................

First time to try this brand (Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2) based on reviews. Ride is smooth with very good handling, very low road noise. They do very well on wet and dry roads, even when pushed around curves and jug handles they maintain control. Their ice traction is not good (though I have not had an A/S tire yet that has had "good"ice traction. They seem to be wearing faster than anticipated, as they are about half worn at 20K. Very pleased overall, but would have liked to see better wear for the money.
