The Ventus S1 noble2 (H452) is Hankook's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans looking to combine on-road performance with all-season traction in dry wet and wintry conditions. Designed to provide Hankook's ideal Ultra High Performance All-Season balance, the Ventus S1 noble2 blends handling and cornering performance with all-season traction, even in light snow.

Kontrol Technology is a Hankook philosophy, as well as a set of proprietary innovations applied during tire research, development and production to ensure controlled driving experiences. The "K" denotes "kinetic" to reflect that the interaction of the tire with the road lies at the heart of driving control. Kontrol Technology provides a range of benefits across four areas that drivers identify as key when choosing quality tires: performance, safety, comfort and environmental impact.

Ventus S1 noble2 tires use hybrid compound technology silica that combines wet road traction with lower rolling resistance and longer treadlife. This compound is molded into a sophisticated semi-rib asymmetric tread design that features notched outboard shoulders, intermediate and center ribs to deliver responsive handling and stable cornering in dry conditions. Four circumferential grooves and inboard Aqua Hydro Block technology provide efficient wet traction and braking. Carving edge grooves and 3D sipes promote wet road and wintertime traction without abandoning dry road response and handling.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by a double layer of spirally wrapped nylon to blend handling, high-speed durability and uniform ride quality. Sidewalls are tuned with high-hardness bead fillers and casing plies that promote handling, steering response and ride uniformity. The tire was developed using 3D vibration analysis technology, which produces an advanced mold profile that delivers uniform contact pressure across the footprint to promote even wear and secure braking performance.

Customers Say

Ratings data demonstrates the Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 excels in dry traction (8-10 scores) with responsive handling and strong grip, while wet traction earns consistent praise (7-10) for reliable hydroplaning resistance. Winter traction shows mixed results, with moderate snow performance (5-7) but frequent concerns on ice (1-4 scores). Comfort receives high marks (7-10) for smooth ride quality and low noise. Treadwear is a notable weakness, with many ratings below 5 indicating premature wear concerns. As an ultra-high-performance all-season tire, it delivers confident dry/wet performance but falls short in severe winter conditions and long-term durability expectations.

...Drove in a blinding rainstorm at 70 mph with no hydroplaning...

This is proving to be a great tire. Drove in a blinding rainstorm at 70 mph with no hydroplaning. Road noise is almost non-existent and ride is excellent. For the price you can't beat this tire. It is as good, if not better, than any tire I have owned and this includes Michelin, Yokohama, Pirelli and Continental. I don't plan to drive this car in snow but did want a tire that would perform well in cold temperatures.

...Water on the road is of little concern until pooling occurs, then a little grab...

Bang for the buck! If the tires last as long as they appear at this point,(1/32) of wear or less, they will rank up with the best tires I've owned for everyday driving. They are very quite, and smooth riding. Water on the road is of little concern until pooling occurs, then a little grab. My biggest complaint is the slowish response to input. They on my older Volvo, and it's suspension is in great condition, (Koni shocks/struts, IPD sway bars). For comparison, also have an Volvo S60R with Michelin Super Sport's on it, they can't compete, but are in a completely different category. Hankook are still a great tire.

Recently replaced the Goodyear Eagle RSA's that came from the factory with these Hankooks. HUGE Improvement! Very impressed with them over the first approx 1000 miles that they have been on the vehicle. Quieter than the Goodyears, just as smooth as the Goodyears, and much better traction (both dry and wet, no experience with snow yet). Was a bit worried about this purchase at first, since the survey sample size was much smaller than the similarly rated (but much more expensive) Conti's, plus the price for these Hankooks seemed too good to be true based on the performance ratings. As always, TireRack provided great info, and I don't regret the purchase decision for an instant! I would definitely buy another set of these.

...Tires are very stable at high speeds of 100+ mph, and the handling is pretty predicable when cornering, almost on par with a dedicated summer tire...

I have about 5k miles on these Hankook S1 nobles (put them on around early June). For dry and wet performance, these tires are superb! No hydroplane or grip issues at 80+ mph in heavy rain.

Recently I made a long (200 mile) journey to up state new york using the tires and it was a mix of heavy rain, slush, and snow. The tires handled great at a solid 50-65 mph on the highway, with limited slippage. They only slipped a little when changing lanes, which was understandable because there was blocks of slush on top of the lane markers.

Surprisingly, I was even able to make it up my steep hill with about 2 inches of snow on it, and my AWD didn't even kick in for it! (infiniti orange AWD logo kicks on if it activates when slipping)

Tires are very stable at high speeds of 100+ mph, and the handling is pretty predicable when cornering, almost on par with a dedicated summer tire. Noise and comfort level is just marginally worse than the previous Goodyear comfortred touring tires I took off, which is great for a performance tire.

I do not have experience in heavy snow as yet, but I look forward to tackling it! Definitely will buy this tire again.

...After putting a set of 4 on the STI, I couldn't be happier! My car was transformed... I no longer increase grip pressure on the steering wheel when I encounter a seam in the road, the tires don't tramline and sail over joint in the road without diverting their line...

I purchased this car with OEM Bridgestone summer hi-per tires that were worn out, it was very noisy inside, rough/hard ride, and it tramlined on pavement changes. The seller warned me not to begin winter on these tires. I researched Tire Rack and this new design had the properties I was looking for. I was a little worried as I read some owner feedback about sluggish turn-in and don't expect a summer UHP tire's performance. After putting a set of 4 on the STI, I couldn't be happier! My car was transformed, dramatic lowering of cabin noise, my wife now wants to go in the STI now, vs "it's too loud to talk" from before. Just the quiet cabin would have been plenty, but now the comfort level is also much improved. The car no longer transmits every pebble, bump, imperfection to the driver, now it smooths over the small things, and lessens the pothole impacts. I no longer increase grip pressure on the steering wheel when I encounter a seam in the road, the tires don't tramline and sail over joint in the road without diverting their line. The Hankook's have been great in rain, slush, and 4" of snow, traction and stopping are first rate. They aren't much help on ice, but only a studded tire will help on ice? I am extremely satisfied with the Ventus S1 Noble 2 tires, they have made my STI a joy to drive in everyday use.

Tires are as good as I hoped they would be when installing them 6 months ago. They are super grippy and responsive for an all season tire, but the tread seems to be holding up well and they are SOOO quiet and comfortable, which is great for cars with a stiffer suspension. I try not to drive this car when there is a chance of snow so I cannot comment on snowy conditions, but they have handled the rain very well. These have got to be one of the best performance tires for the money.

...The comfort is very high for me and I've driven down some rough roads, and they make light work of them.

This tire is a great all rounder. In my GTI, flooring it from a standstill, and through second these tires to struggle for grip a little more than some higher performance tires would. In the corners, they are steady and planted and do not give me any lack of confidence while driving. I've been in a flash flood in these tires and they were amazing. Even going through half a foot of water they did not hydroplane or start to give me a sense that the car wasn't touching the asphalt. If I were on those higher performance tires I was talking about, I might have not made it through that weather. The performance you get from these tires is impressive, especially when you consider the 50,000 mileage rating. The comfort is very high for me and I've driven down some rough roads, and they make light work of them.

...In the winter we just had, slush made the car unpredictable even at 20mph. Light snow (2-3) i couldnt keep the traction control and abs from going awol...

I purchased these tires back in august '17. I have just under 3200 miles on them, perfect alignment and only one rotation. They are comfortable tires but feel mushy around turns in town, feeling like the sidewalls are rolling under themselves. In the winter we just had, slush made the car unpredictable even at 20mph. Light snow (2-3") i couldnt keep the traction control and abs from going awol. My 92 civic turbo making well over 400whp has way way better traction being awd riding on Falken ze950 tires at half tread, which is sad because i mean in deep snow i can drive my car harder than my Audi. Comparing these Hankooks to my wifes tiger paws the car came with when she bought it, i rather drive her car in really harsh snow and ice before my car on these Hankook s1noble2. Today i had to make evasive manouvers to avoid hitting a horse that was loose on the road and the car just went sideways on me, blowing out my RR tire to pieces and my front has a chunk missing on the sidewall, but still holds air suprisingly, missing a huge oak tree by less than an inch and damaging the whole lower side of my car.
I'm a full time auto mechanic, have installed many many hankooks and cant understand how such a highly known and advertised company can make so many junk tires.
Our Hankook rep had even asked why i chose to put these tires on my car knowing im a Falken and Continental tire fan since i was 14yrs old (35 now) because she doesnt even trust Hankooks reliability. I regret purchasing this tire since the first rain and first snow fall. You want a safe all year tire? Take it from my experience, choose Falken, Michelin, Pirelli and/or continental tires and make the sacrifice of a bit more money than choosing a mediocre tire. Ill be ordering dws '06 tires from TireRack in a few weeks and throwing these Hankooks in the dumpster. I should of listened to our customers complaints here and there, and should of went with my gut, experience and knowledge of other tires ive owned.

I put these on my Jaguar S-Type and though they are quiet and responsive, I find my car is wandering all over the road. My Michelin X-Ice 3's Winter tires handle better. I reduced the psi/inflation significantly to 25psi get these tires to handle and track properly. Much lower than recommended and probably not good for fuel consumption. Disappointed.

...Their ice traction is not good (though I have not had an A/S tire yet that has had good ice traction...

First time to try this brand (Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2) based on reviews. Ride is smooth with very good handling, very low road noise. They do very well on wet and dry roads, even when pushed around curves and jug handles they maintain control. Their ice traction is not good (though I have not had an A/S tire yet that has had "good"ice traction. They seem to be wearing faster than anticipated, as they are about half worn at 20K. Very pleased overall, but would have liked to see better wear for the money.

Put 20,500 miles on them - and rotated. 500 wear rating should last longer than this.
