The internal structure of Ecsta LX Platinum tires feature twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon cord on top of a polyester cord casing to combine high-speed durability with ride quality.

Still early to respond on snow / ice traction, but I'm really highly satisfied with traction in wet and dry environments. The tires a very agile to steering and turns, quite surprised at responsiveness in these catagories. They surely seem a lot more quiet than my previous Michelin standard equipment for this vehicle. All in all I'm very satisfied with these tires. Will respond at later time when more miles have been logged on them.

...Very spirited driving - they are very quiet, handle incredibly in snow & ice (up to three inches) hold their balance well...
Simply amazing. I have approx. 55,000 miles on this second set of Kumhos and I just purchased my third set. Very spirited driving - they are very quiet, handle incredibly in snow & ice (up to three inches) hold their balance well, do not cup or misbehave in any way. Are very responsive but still provide a nice ride. Simply supurb all around.

After putting about 800 miles on them, and driving through two snow storms in a rear drive V-8 powered car, all I can say is that they have surpassed my expectations. After driving once in light snow with the summer only Bridgestone tires on my G8 GT, it was down right frightening. I read the reviews on several different tires, and decided on the Kumho's. After putting about 800 miles on them, and driving through two snow storms in a rear drive V-8 powered car, all I can say is that they have surpassed my expectations. They handle well, grip good in the snow, ok on ice (but no all season will be great), and give me the confidence to drive the car in bad weather. The wear is excellent so far, and I am very pleased with the purchase..

These tires replaced a set of Michelin MXV tires. They have excellent traction and adhesion in the rain. Good traction in the snow as well. An excellent value for the money, especially considering they cost almost half what the Michelins cost.

...Cornering is on par with the Goodyear on dry roads...
Better than the O.E. Goodyear Eagle RS-A. Great ride comfort & reduced tire road noise especially on freeways going at 80mph. Cornering is on par with the Goodyear on dry roads. Haven't tested in wet conditions yet as its currently summer in SoCal. Can't say anything on the tread ware as the tires are relatively new. May do another review later on in the winter or spring to address tread ware and traction control on wet roads.

For the money its a awesome tire. Great all around tire, not great at one thing. But remember it a all season tire. Good in the snow, not great, but good. Never had a feeling of loosing control. Dry traction is great. Wet and raining is also good. Wear so far is good. Would buy this tire again in a heartbeat. Good Job Kumho!!!

...The ride is unbelievable. There is no noise from these tires (at least yet), they handle every bit as well as the RSA's, have a smooth ride...
I bought these tires to replace the OEM Goodyear RSA's. I love these tires. The ride is unbelievable. There is no noise from these tires (at least yet), they handle every bit as well as the RSA's, have a smooth ride, and actually look like they have tread. It doesn't snow much here, and I purchased them this spring, so if we actually get some snow this winter, I will post a follow up on my thoughts on that. We get so little, I didn't have any trouble driving w/ my RSAs if that tells you anything. I highly recommend this tire for the money and the treadwear rating (60,000 miles, woo hoo) and it's ride. As long as it holds up, I will buy these babies again!

I have been very happy, with this tire. I purchased these, over 2 years ago and have over 40,000 miles, on them. I looked at the tread yesterday and I can still get another 20,000 miles, out of them, easily. These tires have been good at keeping there air pressure and I have kept good gas mileage too.

This is my 1st set of Kumho's and I have been very pleased. I have experienced exceptional wet performance. These are daily driver tires on a car that loves the corners. Tread wear has been excellent. Not much snow this winter and I always use snow tires anyway. Bang for the buck is excellent. No major faults. Only reason not a definite is who knows what will be available when I need my next set.

After 3 Rotations, and over 9,500 miles. These Kumhos have really surprised and surpassed all my expectations of them. The traction and grip is absolutely strong on the tires. The Treadway is nearly impossible to see. With my aggressive city (taxi) driving on some of the "not so great" streets/roads where I live is a testament to these tires. They make the SENSE and Solus look like economy tires. These are just plain out great tires, and the price puts then into the awesome category.
