The Ecsta Sport is Kumho's Ultra High Performance Summer tire, engineered for drivers who demand precision handling and exhilarating performance in both wet and dry conditions. Designed for luxury cars, sporty coupes, and performance sedans, this tire is built to deliver the responsiveness and grip enthusiasts crave. Like all summer tires, the Ecsta Sport is not intended to be driven in near freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Ecsta Sport's dedicated summer compound is molded into an asymmetric tread pattern with a solid center rib for improved high-speed stability, traction, and braking. A robust outboard shoulder provides the stiffness and durability needed to handle hard cornering and aggressive maneuvers. Optimized lateral grooves maximize water displacement during wet-weather cornering, and the four circumferential main grooves work with diagonal-sipe microgrooves to evacuate water from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance.
The tire's internal construction includes a two-ply polyester casing beneath twin wide, steel belts and a polyamide cap ply for improved high-speed handling and durability.
