Featuring an updated, performance-tuned all-season tread compound molded into an updated asymmetric tread design and utilizing SPORTPLUS+ Technology, the ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS is built for enhanced handling and braking performance. Macro-Blocks and Chamfered block edges help improve ultimate dry road traction and provide increased cornering responsiveness. Generous high angle and circumferential grooves help evacuate water from the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance. 3D sipes help retain handling precision while increasing the number of biting edges for improved wet traction, while X-Sipes are utilized to improve lateral and longitudinal grip in inclement weather. Traction grooves within the circumferential channels further enhance winter weather traction by improving snow-to-snow traction.

ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS tires feature an Alignment Verification System to help identify vehicle misalignment concerns early in the tire's life before wear patterns form. The system also confirms suitability for different driving conditions through Tuned Performance Indicators. Tuned Performance Indicators are visible letters molded into the second rib from the outboard shoulder to alert drivers of the tire's performance levels. A visible "DWS" indicates the tire has appropriate tread depth for dry conditions, as well as wet roads and snow. After the "S" has worn away, the remaining "DW" indicates the tire only has appropriate tread depth for dry and most wet road conditions. After the "W" and "S" have both worn away, the remaining "D" indicates the tire has appropriate tread depth for dry conditions only.

The ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS incorporates a high strength, 2 ply sidewall construction for improved resistance to damage, along with a Sport Sidewall Insert for increased handling responsiveness. Continental's new high-strength, triple action, hybrid cap ply helps combine the positive attributes of a stiffer cord material for improved handling characteristics, while simultaneously retaining the benefits of a more flexible cord, helping maintain a smooth and quiet ride with an optimized contact patch for even wear and longer tread life.

Michelin Energy Saver a/s tires came On my Ford Fusion.
I really enjoy the ride comfort, quiet ride, and very good handling.
The Fusion handles great, and these tires compliment this car.
I have had no traction issues on dry or wet roads.
I expect these tires will be fair in the snow.
With 7,500 miles on them they look brand new.
I pay attention to tire pressure and rotation to keep the wear balanced.
I recommend these tires to my friends.

...They are good in snow and very good in the rain...

I purchased these tire right before winter and am happy with them for the most part. They get a little hard below 20degrees but seem to get better after a few miles. They are good in snow and very good in the rain. They seem to be wearing very well so far and hope they give better tread life than the Michelin Cross Terrain that they replaced. I did notice a increase in mileage of almost a mile per gallon which I was impressed by. All in all I would buy them again.

...These tires have been fantastic... with no traction issues...

I have a 2013 Fusion Hybrid with the OEM Michelins. I have nearly 57000 miles on the tires and they will easily make 60,000 before needing to be replaced. I live in northern Utah, so I've driven in snow and had no trouble. These tires have been fantastic. I'm not sure how you can beat getting 60,000 miles out of a quiet tire with no traction issues. No, I don't race this car, or drive aggressively, it's a hybrid with a wimpy 2 liter motor. For what the car is, and what the tires are expected to do, I can't be happier with these tires.

...The original set were good for 48k miles (I could have extended that for awhile but I was getting ready for a long trip) and while I found them lacking in traction particularly in the wet, overall I was satisfied...

I replaced my OEM 215/50R-17 Michelin Energy Savers with the same tire as I did not wish to take a hit on range with my Bolt EV. I take long trips in my EV regularly and the Michelins appear to be the most efficient tire choice (and they're self sealing).
The original set were good for 48k miles (I could have extended that for awhile but I was getting ready for a long trip) and while I found them lacking in traction particularly in the wet, overall I was satisfied.
I'm not sure if the design has changed, but the new tires seem to have a more comfortable ride with better directional control.
I could have sacrificed range for better wet performance, but overall, I am satisfied with my choice.

...Whelp, I'm here to be in the minority and say that these tires have done pretty well in the category of traction (wet and dry) when you take into consideration the amount of torque you see from EVs...

A lot, and I mean a lot of people dislike these tires on their Chevy Bolt. Nearly every review I've read bash this tire's traction and wear. Whelp, I'm here to be in the minority and say that these tires have lasted well over what anyone could fathom and have done pretty well in the category of traction (wet and dry) when you take into consideration the amount of torque you see from EVs. I have over 55,000 miles on these, I'm a little ashamed of myself to say this, but I've never rotated the tires either. I bought the car new, with 8 miles on it, and no one has driven the car but me. I drive it like it's a go kart with full pedal acceleration in most cases. I don't baby the car or the tires, or the brakes... I don't know how I'm getting the miles I'm getting out of these, but zero complaints here in these tires. I'm doing some tire research because I'm thinking I'll need tires in about 3 months or so, and it's honestly going to be a tough choice to go to another brand/tire given these have been so good to me.

After 10,000 miles, 8/32nds of tread remain on all 4 tires. They are wearing evenly while maintaining a smooth and quiet ride. I think these tires are a good match for the Camry's ride characteristics. I run them at 30 psi for smooth ride and I still get an average 33.7 mpg.

We had a crazy winter and these tires performed as I expected in snow, slush and ice.

I'll replace them when tread wears to 5/32nds. I will consider buying these tires again, provided they continue to deliver a smooth ride to that point.

...I have to say I am Very pleased with the ride, very low road noise if any, and most of all better gas mileage I'm getting with these tires...

Ordered these tires three weks ago. Received them two days later and had them installed. Replaced Hankook Ventus tires which were ok, but had a lot of road noise for this car. Got over 50,000 miles on the Ventus but due to a needed front wheel alignment, they began to wear on the inside tread. I have to say I am Very pleased with the ride,very low road noise if any, and most of all better gas mileage I'm getting with these tires. Will update later.

These were OEM on '12 Camry hybrid. I currently have 55K on the tires and 5/32 tread remains. Mileage is consistently 39 highway and low 40's in town. They have gotten a little noisier with more miles but still have a good ride. Driving hard, I have yet to have the car under-steer at speeds in curves 25 - 35 over psl. If I keep the car, going to get another set.

...Snow is OK starting off straight, but turning is such an adventure, I'm seriously considering not taking the car out in slush, snow or ice...

Standard equipment on the C-MAX, this tire has broadly differing reviews by different car models. I seem to be one of those who has no problem on dry roads, but wet or snow or ice is a disaster. Rain decreases grip 20% or more around curves and stopping distance. Snow is OK starting off straight, but turning is such an adventure, I'm seriously considering not taking the car out in slush, snow or ice. Could it be the added battery weight in the back of the C-Max Energi causing lack of front-wheel drive grip? I'll only find out after I replace these tires. Otherwise I'm happy with the car
