Michelin Latitude Tour 

Purchased these tires the day before a three week snow spell in the Seattle area. I drove in very challenging snow conditions for long distances and up and down steep hills. The traction and control was outstanding. I drove by many vehicles, including many 4 wheel drives that were in the ditch or putting on their chains. The OEM tires had been very good for 75,000 miles, but the Michellin Latitudes are much quieter, much more secure in all conditions and fabulous in the snow. Even though I drive in the mountains on snow often, it is still a small part of the total drive time. Quieter and more comfortable tires were my goal. Outstanding handling on snow and rain is a wonderful additional benefit.

Got these tires in the fall and have 4 snow storms on them and I am VERY impressed. I've been pushing them hard on dry snow, wet snow, slush and some ice and I have had trouble getting them to skid or slip. I have been stomping on the brakes, taking corners hard and making jack rabbit starts in the worst conditions I could find and the Latitude Tour has to be pushed hard to loose traction. I have also driven them hard in wet conditions and been equally impressed. Dry cornering and stability are very good. The only fault I can find with this tire is a little road noise on concrete highways. Fine on asphalt. I use Blizzaks LM 22 on my BMW 325xi (AWD) and I put these all seasons right up there with them.

Best, longest lasting tire for a vehicle this size I every had. Better than Bridgestone, Goodyear and other comparable Michelin tires I've used regarding wear, wet traction, light snow, packed snow. Ride, noise, and handling are great. At 55,000 miles now with about 3/32 tread left. I could get another 10,000 off them, but may replace in a couple months before we need to drive in snow. I believe they are worth the money as opposed to cheaper alternatives.

The Michelin Latitude Tours are a huge improvement over the OEM Continental tires that Honda puts on CR-Vs. The ride comfort and noise level improvement were immediately apparent on the ride home from their installation. Having now had the opportunity to run these tires in the snow and ice of winter driving, I continue to be impressed with their performance. If planning to own a vehicle over the long-haul, I would highly recommend the expenditure for these premium tires as easily justifiable.

I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. Our winters are harsh and our city streets often are only cleared of loose snow, but left with black ice. Ice also forms at intersections whether or not the snow is cleared just b\c of the traffic. These tires are great on ice and in snow. We're in the prairies, so I cannot offer info on how they perform going up slopes, however in extreme ice conditions I feel very much in control. We get a fair amount of snow, not like in the mountains of alberta, but enough to know these tires perform well in low to deep snow. The tread pattern isn't as agressive for very deep snow like in the mountains. But in the city and our highways where the snow is cleared quickly, this has never been an issue for me. I would definetely recommend them unless you live in the woods in a mountainous area - and then I'd say do your homework.

P255/65R16 106T Latitude Tour on an ML320 first series SUV. The tires are holding up well with just over 63k miles over 64 months. The first 18 months (14k mi) were in New England and the tires performed well through two northern winters. Snow traction was excellent as was wet traction. The last 48k miles have been in south Florida, mostly highway miles. Treadwear is excellent with about 4 to 5/32 of depth across the widths of each tire. (Tire rotation schedule and alignment issues with the car are main culprits for the uneven tire wear). Wet weather driving at highway speed in Florida has been great with zero hydroplaning (on 255s) along with confident braking. Dry weather driving is relatively quiet as is expected from all season tires. Mileage for the ML320 at highway driving is consistently 20mpg which I attribute 1-2 miles on the tire model. The previous tires were also Michelins but were H rated, lower tread life tires. I was initially concerned with "T" (118mph) speed rating, "B" temp rating, and 106 load index (2,094lb) for Florida drivers tend to consistently speed beyond the 70 MPH law. The ML is a heavy SUV with gross weight of 6000lbs. Front and Rear GAWR are 2550 & 3550 lbs respectively. A typical workday round trip is 140 miles highway driving 3-4 times a week. Additionally, was also concerned about the Florida heat and sun as the vehicle was not parked under cover for most of the last three years. As such, there is cracking all along the circumference of the tire walls (dry rot cracking, maybe). At this point, I am pleased with the performance and longevity of these Latitude Tours and may likely keep them on until the warranty period end (or another 2k miles). As a side note, I would purchase these again for a vehicle that I expected to keep a long time. These tires were a great investment. By the way, I love Tire Rack and will continue to purchase from them. Just replaced these with Conti CrossContact LX20 due to cost and remaining life of the Benz.

Ok so here is my story...much of like the previous CR-V owners, the stock tires, whether the Dueler's or the Continentals...don't really satisfy the driver or the car. I was stuck with the Dueler's last winter, and instead decided to drive my Honda Civic in the snow. I stretched out the life of my Dueler's to about 28,500 miles. Since then, about November 2009, I've upgraded to the Michelin Latitude Tour.



I am 25 years old, with a 1 year old daughter. My wife and I share the two cars we own. I bought my CR-V in April of 2008 and by the following spring was looking to get rid of it. The tread wear wasn't really bad so I decided to wait until this winter to put a better set of tires on and see if there was a difference...



I can't put into words the improvement. I live in Putnam County, NY about an hour or so north of Manhattan. And recently we've had our fair share of bad weather as has much of the northeast. I have purposely tested these tires in as many adverse conditions as possible. I drive pretty aggressively on a daily basis so I feel confident I can give you a pretty good review of this tire. It handles, dry, wet, slippery, snow and ice, its a world of difference. No more traction light when you accelerate on wet roads...these tires grip. I can also notice a tremendous difference in the comfort of the ride. It feels like the car is brand new again and I drives better than I ever did. Although I have a heavy foot, there are plenty of times I am easy on the gas...especially when my daughter is in the car. So for those times, when I am not so quick to jump on the gas, I have noticed about 2-3 mi/gal better gas mileage.



Bottom line...The OEM tires on 2008 Honda CR-V's (I'm sure all of the one's from 07-11's) are horrible...anything will be better. If you chose to go with the Michelin Tour's, you won't be disappointed!

Truthfully there are not enough miles on this factory installed tire to truly answer if I would buy these tires. 440 is the treadwear rating but tires and batteries burn out fairly quick in S. Florida. As far as wet,dry traction,handling and noise level they are a 10 as is the comfort.

The best wet and dry traction I've yet experienced. A quiet and comfortable ride on the highway, with confident cornering and braking in the city. An outstanding tire.

About as sticky as my prior Scorpions, stickier than the Geolandars I installed before that. Much smoother and much quieter than both. They might be a touch less sporty than the Scorpions; I don't feel quite as much like a needle in a groove when I'm steering as I did with those. But I am very happy with the wet-pavement traction, and I am very confident that I would have the control I'd need to avoid an obstacle. Braking performance has also been remarkable.

I can't measure the value objectively, of course, not without buying other whole sets of tires and testing them out under controlled conditions. But subjectively, I can't think of any way in which I went wrong with these, and I'd recommend them highly for commuting, road trips, and zooming around town.

These tire work good for me low noise level and great ride thats what I wanted. I live in Cali not to much snow here but I have drove off road on trails and they worked good. I have drove other cars in snow I recomend to lower your tire pressure by 5-8 pounds in deep snow for better traction. But they are great for what I wanted them for a safe tire for the car my wife and kids use mostly in sunny SO CAL...

In March 2011 I was driving on an 8 year old set of Michelin Cross Terrains size 225/75R/16. The tires were worn well beyond the wear bars resembling slicks more than a highway all season tire. Safe to say, it was time for new tires.

Prior to purchasing, I spent a great deal of time learning about tires, talking to experts, and reading reviews. Besides good wet and dry traction, I wanted a tire that provided a smooth and quiet ride the way my Cross Terrains did. Moreover, I wanted a tire that performed reasonably well in the snow for the occasional winter trip to Tahoe.

I narrowed my search down to two tires, the Michelin Latitude Tour and the Michelin LTX M/S2. I was on the fence between the two tires, but I eventually chose the Latitude Tour, size P225/75R/16, because it had a tighter tread pattern and a softer sidewall, which in my mind translated to a smoother, quieter ride.

65% of my driving by distance on highways here in the Bay Area, the remaining 35% on city streets. I am somewhat of an assertive driver cruising between 70 and 80 mph on the highways and I take corners a bit faster than some. That said, I have put 16,454 miles on my Latitude Tours and could not be happier. The tires provide a smooth and quiet ride in both wet and dry conditions and I have yet to experience any uneven tread wear, hydroplaning, wheel slip, skidding, or stability issues. I can't say for sure but I think my worn Cross Terrains provided a slightly smoother ride, but that was probably due to the lack of tread on those tires.

As of this review, I have not driven in the snow or ice and I never take the Jeep off road so a don't have any input in these areas.

Note: Despite Jeep's suggested tire fill of 33psi per the in the doorjamb sticker, I have my Latitude Tours filled to 40psi cold because the tires look like they are low on air at 33psi. The higher pressure makes for a stiffer ride, but handling is improved.

I would not hesitate to purchase the Latitude Tours again!

I would like to say that the Michelin Latitude Tour is an excellent highway terrain tire! I am not saying this for the fact that they are Michelin tires. They really are excellent. What I have noticed about the Latitude Tour, is that it is a quiet tire. It does not make any noise. Ride comfort is also excellent. Michelin should name these tires "Latitude Pillow". Combine these tires with a finely tuned suspension, and you really do feel as if you are using pillows for tires. As far as steering response is concerned, I noticed that the response improved dramatically. Steering response in my opinion is smooth. How do these tires feel off road? I have not used these tires off road. If you have seen the tread pattern on these tires, you will realize that off road terrain will not get along well with these tires. If you are looking for a tire to use on and off road, try the Michelin LTX A/S or the Michelin LTX M/S.

these are the original tires from our new 2013 equinox FWD LS purchase. Car has been everywhere up and down the east coast (in all types of weather) from PA to FL and never had any issues. Tread life has been outstanding (i follow as close as possible the mileage tire rotations) I am buying these tires again at 65k miles, although i still have fairly decent tread on all four tires to last me a little longer if i needed.

These tires came OEM on the Equinox, and I have been extremely pleased with them. They have an excellent balance of performance, ride, and tread wear. After 15000 miles they still look like new, a pleasant change from the ultra performance tires on my previous vehicle, which would be badly worn at 15000 miles.

We only had one snow storm since I've had these tires. These tires and the AWD easily handled the 3 inches of snow.

OEM tire kept rotated every 5K with oil change, balanced every 15K . 80,000 miles later they look evenly worn. Just now replacing these with same tire as we are supremely confident with our experience with them. Still not down to wear indicators but close and never an issue other than a screw-puncture repaired at our local dealer. Highly recommend this tire for mid-size Crossovers!
