The Discoverer Snow Claw is Cooper's Light Truck/ SUV Studdable Winter / Snow tire developed for the drivers of pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, full-size vans and commercial vehicles looking for dependable wintertime traction over ice and snow covered roads. Molded to accommodate optional metal studs, and developed with durability at the forefront of its design, the Discoverer Snow Claw offers sure footed confidence in harsh winter climates.
The Cooper Discoverer Snow Claw utilizes a durable winter compound molded into a symmetric tread pattern focused on reducing gaps between tread elements to enhance clear road handling, notably when carrying heavy loads. Densely siped tread blocks enhance wet and wintertime traction by providing biting edges and flexibility to help the tire adhere with the road surface. The Discoverer Snow Claw leverages Cooper's Snow-Groove technology, which employs serrations molded into the zigzag circumferential grooves that bolster snow-to-snow traction for packed and deep snow conditions. Alternating rows of optional metal studs can be inserted into the shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase traction on hard packed snow and icy roads.
Discoverer Snow Claw tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Decent tire, overall exceeded my expectations in snow and plowing especially, mud and dirt it is relatively usable but you definitely want 4x4 if you go through any more than a puddle. Comfortable and quite ride wearing is around 8/32 at current 35k mileage easily could get 40-50k out of them!

A little pricey, very comfortable on the asphalt, low noise, great on dry or wet...
A little pricey, very comfortable on the asphalt, low noise, great on dry or wet, not much of an all terrain tire in my opinion, but 90% of my driving is done on asphalt, it did me well on sand or gravel, can’t comment on mud or snow, at 56,000 miles there’s not much left on those tires, but still very comfortable, no vibration, still uniform all around. PS: I do haul a 23’ trailer once in a while, sometimes a little to heavy too. I have this tires on a 2001 rodeo 4wd, and I had them on a 2015 ram 3500 4wd, never disappointed me, great tire all around, very confident that will do great on snow as well.

Most customers rate comfort 9s and 10s, highlighting a smooth ride and low noise. High scores show excellent refinement for on-road driving, aligning perfectly with its all-terrain design.

...Smooth ride, quiter than the OEMs, and long-wearing tread...
This is easily the best set of tires I've owned. These replaced the OEM Bridgestones that came on my truck, but the Michelins are so much better. Smooth ride, quiter than the OEMs, and long-wearing tread. And they have stayed aligned and balanced, unlike my previous tires which had to be aligned and balanced after about 20k miles.

This is my third set of these tires and I'd buy them again. With a tread rating of 60k, these will go beyond that easily. I had near 80 and they still had meat left. I changed them because at that level of tread, they didn't do that great stopping in the rain on a hard brake situation, so bought new ones again. Would highly recommend
