The LTX M/S2 is Michelin's Highway All-Season tire developed to combine long tread life with all-season capabilities for vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles, as well as for commercial vans, shuttles and chassis cab vehicles using light truck tire sizes. The LTX M/S2 is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including in light snow. Compared to the original LTX M/S, the LTX M/S2 is an evolution in looks . . . and a leap forward in performance.

The LTX M/S2 molds a long wearing, silica-enhanced, all-season compound into a tread profile featuring Michelin's MaxTouch Construction to produce a contact patch that promotes reliable traction and long wear by evenly distributing acceleration, braking and cornering forces. A symmetric tread design of stable independent tread blocks featuring high-density 3-D Active Sipes delivers all-season traction on dry roads and in inclement weather. Four wide circumferential channels, multiple lateral grooves and open shoulder slots promote lateral water evacuation to enhance wet traction and stopping performance.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts (three steel belts in Load Range D and Load Range E sizes) to provide the strength and durability needed to handle heavy loads.

Note: The LTX M/S2 Highway All-Season tire is NOT a dedicated winter / snow tire. It does NOT meet the severe snow traction requirements and is NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

*Specific sizes featuring Green X technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...Great dry and wet traction on highway...

I drive my truck like a race car, it handles like one too. Michelin LTX M/S2 are the tires I find best for my 2x4 F-150. Great dry and wet traction on highway. I feel it out performed the last 2 sets of High Performance tires I wore out in have the miles. I wouldn't consider anything less.

...The wet traction is very good, as is the dry.

These are the best tires I've had on my Tacoma. I'm replacing them because of age even though there is a little life left in them. Unfortunately, Michelin does not make them in the size I need anymore, which is pretty disappointing. The wet traction is very good, as is the dry.

BIG improvement over original equipped tires in all catagories. Especially ride, quietness and wet traction. Load carrying capacity just the same as rough riding original tires. Tread wear is minimal thus far. Wonderful tire!

I now have 11,100 miles on my set of set of LTX M/S2 tires; they still look like I put them on my SUV last week. They provide outstanding handling and ride in every climatic condition in Minnesota, including torrential thunderstorms, blizzards and icestorms. Long uphill grades in 6-8 inches of snow are no problem on a AWD vehicle with these tires. Minimal road noise at 10 to 85 mph on all types of road surfaces except very rough portions of old interstates. The ride is virtually silent and smooth as silk on well maintained asphalt roads. These are unquestionably THE BEST tires I have ever owned and I will be putting a set on my wife's LX 470 very soon. I did a large amount of research before putting this kind of money into a set of tires; they are worth every cent.

...Buttery smooth ride, MUCH more responsive steering, and very quiet...

Got these to replace the horrific OEM Continental Contitracs. WOW! Buttery smooth ride, MUCH more repsonsive steering, and very quiet. Couldn't be happier, and at under $200 each, there's just not another tire out there like them. Got a set for my F250 as well. Same results. No brainer unless you need a whisper quiet ride and are willing to give up some snow/ice capability (ie you live in AZ and have no intention of taking a ski trip!) The Latitude might be a tad more comfy in that case. Michelin has another line for the off-roaders (the LTX MS AT2) so these sit in the sweet spot for most users.

12/32" Tread depth new. After 39,000 miles still has 6/32" remaining. Estimate another 10-15,000 serviceable tire wear remaining. If you wnt to smoke rubber, don't buy this tire. It holds the road.

...They look very sharp on the truck and the grip and ride is phenomenal... period... They stick to the road...

I also have these on my 01 Toyota Tacoma...they are absolutely the BEST!! Worth the money. On my 08 Tundra, I replaced the stock BFGs. Was considering going on with another all-terrain tire, but I hardly go off-road. So I went with the Michelin MS/2's. They look very sharp on the truck and the grip and ride is phenomenal...period. You will not be disappointed. I immediately noticed less rolling resistance. The truck takes less effort to keep the same speed which means I should see an increase in MPG. They don't vibrate. And they stick to the road. A good solid ride, but also comfortable. And in addition they are safe which means a lot. Be sure to get them mounted/balanced by a reputable shop.

...Very smooth, quiet ride which is what I was looking for when I bought them a little over 3 years ago...

I'm in sales and drive a lot of highway/Interstate miles. These tires have blown me away in every catagory. Very smooth, quiet ride which is what I was looking for when I bought them a little over 3 years ago. I have also had them rotated and balanced every 6000-8000 miles. If you take care of them, they will take care of you. They are still going strong after 126,000 miles. I know that a new set is on the horizon but, I'd like to get another winter out of them. Extremely satisfied.

...Finally, put a set of Michelin MS/2's on, and like magic, the problems were gone completely!! These MS/2's have performed perfectly! Traction, ware, ride, and handling are all excellent.

This E-350 van had severe vibration problems when I got it. Put a new set of Goodyear's on and it was still un-drivable at interstate speeds. Had the entire suspension system rebuilt, still un-drivable. Replaced the wheels, still un-drivable. Put a new set of Dunlop's on, same problems, and had a blow out... All these other tires would not stay balanced and I believe they had internal construction issues that could not be seen externally.
Finally, put a set of Michelin MS/2's on, and like magic, the problems were gone completely!! These MS/2's have performed perfectly! Traction, ware, ride, and handling are all excellent. If you drive a truck loaded and aggressively, then these MS/2's are the only way to go. I've also seen an increase in gas mileage of about 1 mile per gallon. These Michelin's may cost a little more up front, but they're actually cheaper in the long run.

I bought these tires from tire rack for my 1996 toyota T100 4x4 after the original factory tires wore out at 45000 miles. Needless to say I cannot believe how well these handle, go in snow and rain, and especially last. I rotated them 3 times, and they still after 81k miles have at least 5000 miles left, maybe more, but they are starting to be a little less grippy in the rain so I may change them soon. My father has a lighter tacoma pickup 4 door and he goes through the bridgestones at 45000 miles like clockwork and they are only like $50 cheaper for all 4. I needless to say ordered him a set of these michelins today- Be sure they are LTX M/S2 not the off road ones, or you may not get my results- . I install them with the white letters facing in for less cleaning maintenance, and less noticability for possible vandalism. I promise these are great. Also if you have a toyota truck installing Bilstein shocks will make an unbelievable difference in ride.Good luck- New Jersey Nick
