Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The LTX M/S2 is Michelin's Highway All-Season tire developed to combine long tread life with all-season capabilities for vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles, as well as for commercial vans, shuttles and chassis cab vehicles using light truck tire sizes. The LTX M/S2 is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including in light snow. Compared to the original LTX M/S, the LTX M/S2 is an evolution in looks . . . and a leap forward in performance.

The LTX M/S2 molds a long wearing, silica-enhanced, all-season compound into a tread profile featuring Michelin's MaxTouch Construction to produce a contact patch that promotes reliable traction and long wear by evenly distributing acceleration, braking and cornering forces. A symmetric tread design of stable independent tread blocks featuring high-density 3-D Active Sipes delivers all-season traction on dry roads and in inclement weather. Four wide circumferential channels, multiple lateral grooves and open shoulder slots promote lateral water evacuation to enhance wet traction and stopping performance.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts (three steel belts in Load Range D and Load Range E sizes) to provide the strength and durability needed to handle heavy loads.

Note: The LTX M/S2 Highway All-Season tire is NOT a dedicated winter / snow tire. It does NOT meet the severe snow traction requirements and is NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

*Specific sizes featuring Green X technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Great wet traction and ride comfort with these tires on the Ford F-150... The wet weather traction is a key requirement for our frequent thunderstorms, especially in the spring and fall.

Great wet traction and ride comfort with these tires on the Ford F-150.
We have had a long positive experience with Michelin tires and these are no exception.
I would happily recommend these tires for the type of combined city/highway and very occasional off road driving we do here on the Gulf Coast.
The wet weather traction is a key requirement for our frequent thunderstorms, especially in the spring and fall.

...These tires are the best handling, quietest smoothest riding tire on dry or wet pave...

I have run the Michelin M&S LTX(99Tacoma) then the Defender M&S LTX(2019 Ford Ranger) and now the Defender M&S LTX2 on 2024 Tacoma. Live in northern New Brunswick Canada run these tires on my trucks summer and winter. These tires are the best handling, quietest smoothest riding tire on dry or wet pave while delivering superior winter traction for all my needs.. The only tire I would have on my trucks....

Was going to wait to review this tire until I had about 10000 miles on them to review but after today I figured today was the worst they would see. I'm in western ny and this weekend we received 4+ feet of snow my wife being from Florida and not really ever driving through a blizzard before had to work as a essential worker even with driving bands. These tires were not only able to get her to work and back but we're able to keep moving while other 4x4's were stuck in the road. Up until then we have towed our camper into camp witch is off-road on a steep dirt road and they preformed amazing not slipping or sponging at all. I don't have enough mileage on them to rate the wear but seem to be doing great even with all the towing we do. I would say noise level is minimal to none existent. Overall after today I give these tires a 11 out of 10 would highly recommend them to anyone!!

...absolutely eats up the snow in the mountains...

Simply THE BEST tires money can buy. Rotate these tires regularly and they will do you no wrong. I've got 20k miles on them so far and they still look brand new. Glides like a cloud on surface streets and the freeway; absolutely eats up the snow in the mountains.

I trust these tires with my life. Would 110% buy again and recommend them to everyone I know.

...Easily the best rainy traction in a truck I've ever experienced and just as sticky on dry pavement...

I've owned several full-size pickups and have had many different tires in the million plus miles I've driven. The Michelin Defender LTX M/S is hands down my favorite of them all. They stick to the road in all but the heaviest snow. Easily the best rainy traction in a truck I've ever experienced and just as sticky on dry pavement. Very quiet, extremely good wear for such a grabby tire, no wandering like some others. They are reasonable for average winter conditions, but ideally I would have a dedicated snow tire for the worst Duluth, MN winters and these would be on the truck all other months. Best all-around tire I've ever owned.

...they have also stated the same thing they may not be the cheapest choice but they are by far one of your BEST choices for wet driving, dry driving, load carrying, noise (none) ride and much more...

While I have used BF Goodrich, Goodyear, and other tires, I have read and heard about Michelin tires for ever and have stayed away from them as the old models where not safe tires, they had a history of not being good in wet conditions, but has that changed! I now know of a number of people who have had them on the vehicles from new, or replaced the tires with Michelin tires and as I am going to say here they have also stated the same thing "they may not be the cheapest choice but they are by far one of your BEST choices for wet driving, dry driving, load carrying, noise (none) ride and much more" So feel safe and comfortable in a choice for Michelin tires for your car or light truck.

...Last year I was told my tires were looking like they needed to be replaced at 82,000 miles... after a year and 4 cross country trips I'm finally changing them today with 104,218 miles on them...

These tires came factory installed with my new 2018 F150. Last year I was told my tires were looking like they needed to be replaced at 82,000 miles. I had a very hard time finding them but was lucky to find them online. I bought 4 of them at that time thinking I needed them quickly but after a year and 4 cross country trips I'm finally changing them today with 104,218 miles on them.

They're quiet and smooth and I hope to have these also last me 100,000 miles and even longer than 6 years since I'm now retired and drive less. I have a video of them here at Walmart changing them and my mileage.

...Most impressive thing is treadware on these tires. Only after 63000 miles are they starting to show wear. But there's still a lot of life left in them...

Overall I’d say these tires have been really great as OE on my 2017 Tacoma. Most impressive thing is treadware on these tires. Only after 63000 miles are they starting to show wear. But there’s still a lot of life left in them. Definitely would recommend but probably won’t buy because I want something a little more rugged looking.
