Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The LTX M/S2 is Michelin's Highway All-Season tire developed to combine long tread life with all-season capabilities for vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles, as well as for commercial vans, shuttles and chassis cab vehicles using light truck tire sizes. The LTX M/S2 is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including in light snow. Compared to the original LTX M/S, the LTX M/S2 is an evolution in looks . . . and a leap forward in performance.

The LTX M/S2 molds a long wearing, silica-enhanced, all-season compound into a tread profile featuring Michelin's MaxTouch Construction to produce a contact patch that promotes reliable traction and long wear by evenly distributing acceleration, braking and cornering forces. A symmetric tread design of stable independent tread blocks featuring high-density 3-D Active Sipes delivers all-season traction on dry roads and in inclement weather. Four wide circumferential channels, multiple lateral grooves and open shoulder slots promote lateral water evacuation to enhance wet traction and stopping performance.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts (three steel belts in Load Range D and Load Range E sizes) to provide the strength and durability needed to handle heavy loads.

Note: The LTX M/S2 Highway All-Season tire is NOT a dedicated winter / snow tire. It does NOT meet the severe snow traction requirements and is NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

*Specific sizes featuring Green X technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

I have had several sets of tires on this car but none that bring out the best in the handling, quiet and responsiveness in dry and wet. I can never go back to anything else. I hope they hold up to their tread-wear rating.

...They provide outstanding handling in every climatic condition in Minnesota, including in torrential thunderstorms, in blizzards and in icestorms...

I now have 11,100 miles on my set of set of LTX M/S2 tires; they still look like I put them on my SUV last week. They provide outstanding handling and ride in every climatic condition in Minnesota, including torrential thunderstorms, blizzards and icestorms. Long uphill grades in 6-8 inches of snow are no problem on a AWD vehicle with these tires. Minimal road noise at 10 to 85 mph on all types of road surfaces except very rough portions of old interstates. The ride is virtually silent and smooth as silk on well maintained asphalt roads. These are unquestionably THE BEST tires I have ever owned and I will be putting a set on my wife's LX 470 very soon. I did a large amount of research before putting this kind of money into a set of tires; they are worth every cent.

I have driven a pickup for many years. Best tires I have ever driven on. We have had a very rainy spring and I have found these tires really hold the road. I have run Brigstone NUVO for the last several years and have found the michelins to be by far superior.

...This tire was GREAT for that. I can't speak for going through a lot of snow, but this was perfect for winter rain, sleet, slush, and light snow while giving me EXCELLENT all around performance for every-day spirited driving...

A little concerned about this tire. Had them installed last December have about 16000 miles on them, checked the tread depth and they are at 8/32nds, seems like they are wearing quickly. At this rate will have to replace by next winter. Had a set of the old M/S's and these new ones don't do quite as well in the light snow as they old ones did. Good quiet tire but disappointed in the tread wear.

...Anyway, this tire has been excellent in all conditions since I put it on this past February 8th, and we had a really nasty winter in New England right through mid-April. I can't wait to get a full winter out of them this year...

Although this particular tire isn't spec'd for this vehicle, it's the tire I wanted for it. So, I carefully took precise measurements to be sure of adequate caliper and fender well clearances, then matched a tire size and wheel combination that would properly fit. This entailed changing the factory 19x7.5 wheels to 18x8, and increasing the tire width ratio to a P265-60R in order to obtain an LTX M/S2 that was manufactured in this 18" size. On this vehicle, this tire is incredible. Plus, with the combination of AWD and StabiliTrak, it's like this baby is glued to the road. I've never squawked the tires taking a turn, even when accelerating in a short, tight turn (think entrance ramp to an interstate highway.) The reason I went to extremes to get this particular tire was because of the truely dismal handful of choices available for 19" tires on these Lambda series vehicles from GM; and because of the tire shortage they had from November 2010 through January 2011 on 19" tires for these vehicles. I almost went with Toyo Versado CUV's in mid-January, but they were on back order until March! Anyway, this tire has been excellent in all conditions since I put it on this past February 8th, and we had a really nasty winter in New England right through mid-April. I can't wait to get a full winter out of them this year. They replaced a set of Goodyear Eagle RS-A's that had less than 12,000 miles on them. I thought it was time after I hydroplaned off the road at 30 MPH in a slow left hand turn when I hit a big puddle just a ways past my local high school 'End School Zone' sign, and went off to the right over the asphalt walkway (no curb), and nearly into the woods. Luckily, there were no kids on the sidewalk and I was able to brake and stop on the asphalt. The car was used and purchased by me three day before. I was used to an Expedition with Goodyear Fortera Triple Treds that cut thru water really well. The LTX M/S2's cut thru it like it's not even there! Incredible Tires!!!

While not a dedicated snow tire these do well considering their decathlon like abilities. I recently pulled a 31' 8000lb TT through 8-12" of snow with these tires for over 120 miles. Never felt like things were out of control or unsafe, I did need 4WD at times though the traction control never flashed once. If these don't last 70,000 miles I'll be amazed, they have at least 2/3 tread left. They are also very forgiving of "forgetting" to do rotations, at least on my truck. My first rotation was at 14,000 with a good deal of towing and the tread wear difference front to back was negligible. To quote Ferris Bueller, "if you have the means I highly recommend picking them up".)

...The ride is 100 times better, Mpg's is up a little and these things grip... wet and dry is so much better...

These Michelin LTX M/S 2's are great. They replace my horrible General Grabber AT2's. What a difference, I knew they would not make as much noise. The ride is 100 times better, Mpg's is up a little and these things grip. I haven't had them off road or in any winter conditions yet but wet and dry is so much better. I think I will stay with Michelins from now on. I have had many different brands and types of tires and these so far are the best.

...WOW! Buttery smooth ride, MUCH more responsive steering, and very quiet...

Got these to replace the horrific OEM Continental Contitracs. WOW! Buttery smooth ride, MUCH more repsonsive steering, and very quiet. Couldn't be happier, and at under $200 each, there's just not another tire out there like them. Got a set for my F250 as well. Same results. No brainer unless you need a whisper quiet ride and are willing to give up some snow/ice capability (ie you live in AZ and have no intention of taking a ski trip!) The Latitude might be a tad more comfy in that case. Michelin has another line for the off-roaders (the LTX MS AT2) so these sit in the sweet spot for most users.

...With these new Michelin's, I feel like I'm locked to the pavement, yet my truck is now nimble with wonderful steering response...

Just a first report on these tires which I researched for months before my purchase. I had BFG Rugged Trails as OEM's, and they still had a third of their tread left but were showing cracking between the grooves. Plus they weren't good rain tires. With the N. Cal. winter looming, I wanted to get the LTX MS2's installed so I would be ready. One word delivers my impression of these tires thus far.

WOW - !

Dry handling; the Nissan Frontier Nismo is the sports car of pickup trucks. Taut handling, scary powerful engine and racing seats to hold you in place. With these new Michelin's, I feel like I'm locked to the pavement, yet my truck is now nimble with wonderful steering response. Over expansion joint heavy freeway stretches, what used to be jarring thud, thud, thud, is now silent. On grooved concrete, where I used to hear humming and felt my truck track with the surface, now there is none of it.

Looking at these tires on the vehicle, I am thrilled to see such quality and the state of the tire makers art awaiting the call of the road. The size for my vehicle 265-75 /16 only came in load range E, which means an extra 32nd of an inch of tread depth (13), and a third steel belt. I thought having the extra load capacity would affect the ride, but it doesn't. The four wide circumferential channels are like CANYONS. I can't wait for a good rain storm to test out wet traction. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Replaced OEM Goodyear after 6 years and 70,000 miles. With the Michelins on I had a pronounced reduction in road noise and the ride quality is much improved. The original GYr tires were worn to nearly the wear bars but still had tread on them. Wet traction is markedly improved. Was a bit wary of paying an extra $50 per tire but as I intend on keeping the Pilot for another 6 years it will be worth the extra money.

Although only minimal mileage at this time, I'm impressed beyond belief. I have purchased many sets of tires of different brands over the years and none compare to these Michelin LTX M/S2 tires. I'm already replacing the tires on another vehicle with these same Michelin's. Road noise is non existent and the ride is as smooth as glass! Very impressed!

I find them to be quiet, handle well and provide excellent traction in both wet and snow conditions...

I replaced the OEM Bridgestone's at 43,000 miles with these Michelins and I would definitely recommend them to anyone! They are light years ahead of the OEM's and I have nothing negative to say about them, period. I do a lot of spirited highway and city driving and they deliver on all levels. I find them to be quiet, handle well and provide excellent traction in both wet and snow conditions. I expect to get a ton of miles out of them. I see no sign of wear what so ever. Great job Michelin!

Great tire if looking for a quiet smooth ride. My Tahoe hung to the road and cornered like a car. My only problem is the tread wear. Very uneven! I rotated every 10k miles but 2 of the tires are shot (showing threads), 1 is down to the wear bars, and the last one looks like it's got at least another 10k miles left on it. Maybe a small car could get more miles out of these tires. I know several people who have run these tire and got 80k plus out of a set. Mine didn't. That's why I'm a little disappointed in the Michelin brand. I guess if you don't make them as good as you used to then you can sell more.

I had a set of BFG's that wore out in about a year and I decided to spend the big bucks and buy the good tires the michelin's. Boy am I glad that I did that, I enjoy the way that they handle on the road and off the road, they are great on the freeway with very little sound, and they still look brand new after about a thousand miles, I cannot say that about the BFG's that I had. Great tires and I would definitely recommend them to a friend and I would buy these tires again, I probably wont have to as they will probably be the last set for my current vehicle.
