Does this tire fit your vehicle?

Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The LTX M/S2 is Michelin's Highway All-Season tire developed to combine long tread life with all-season capabilities for vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles, as well as for commercial vans, shuttles and chassis cab vehicles using light truck tire sizes. The LTX M/S2 is designed to combine a smooth, quiet ride with year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including in light snow. Compared to the original LTX M/S, the LTX M/S2 is an evolution in looks . . . and a leap forward in performance.

The LTX M/S2 molds a long wearing, silica-enhanced, all-season compound into a tread profile featuring Michelin's MaxTouch Construction to produce a contact patch that promotes reliable traction and long wear by evenly distributing acceleration, braking and cornering forces. A symmetric tread design of stable independent tread blocks featuring high-density 3-D Active Sipes delivers all-season traction on dry roads and in inclement weather. Four wide circumferential channels, multiple lateral grooves and open shoulder slots promote lateral water evacuation to enhance wet traction and stopping performance.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts (three steel belts in Load Range D and Load Range E sizes) to provide the strength and durability needed to handle heavy loads.

Note: The LTX M/S2 Highway All-Season tire is NOT a dedicated winter / snow tire. It does NOT meet the severe snow traction requirements and is NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

*Specific sizes featuring Green X technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...Feeling is very confident in dry and wet (rainy) roads...

Has been light winter with little snow this year in my area (NE US), but what I did drive in mainly slush was good. Feeling is very confident in dry and wet (rainy) roads. Cornering has been good as well as higher speeds on highway. Smooth ride and quieter that my summers. Wear has been light even in warmer temp (60 F was hottest day). Should be able to get few seasons from them.

...The wet weather grip of these tires is simply unbelievable. I took a friend on a ride, who also has a mustang gt as well and even he was amazed by the wet weather grip of these tires from the passenger seat...

If you are looking for a performance winter tire. This is it. I've used normal winter tires on a Honda Civic before and i hated the handling and the noise and the grip in the rain and dry wasn't that great. With my performance package Mustang GT, I knew i wanted to maintain the sporty handling that the car had on the factory Pirelli P-Zero Maximum Performance Summer tire. I also wanted to maximize wet weather grip because we get a lot of rain in the winter here and only a couple of weeks of snow.

The wet weather grip of these tires is simply unbelievable. I took a friend on a ride, who also has a mustang gt as well and even he was amazed by the wet weather grip of these tires from the passenger seat. I have taken these autocross racing in the rain twice and in the dry once. The lap times I was able to achieve in the rain, I have to attribute to the tires. Even on cold dry roads, these tires have good grip and maintain the sporty handling of the car. The only downside to these tires is that they don't have the same grip in the ice and snow as the extreme winter tires like the Bridgestone Blizzak WS series or the Michelin X-Ice Xi3. However, the pilot alpins were confidence inspiring in the snow and ice and have better grip than all season tires, I even passed a snow plow that was clearing the highway. Drifting in the snow was a lot of fun with these tires as well.

So if your primary considerations in a winter tire are wet and dry grip on cold days with good handling, with pretty good but not the best snow and ice grip. Then stop looking around and buy these tires. However, If you want a little more snow and ice grip while sacrificing some dry and wet grip and sporty handling, check out the blizzak ws series, michelin xi3 or Nokian Hakkapelitas

...The car handles unbelievably well in the winter months with these tires. The work so well in cold, light snow, ice and slush. It's so cool to see peoples faces when you are ripping around in the snow in a Panamera while they are spinning their wheels.

I put these on my Panamera 2011 Turbo. As you know, the summer tires on these cars are worthless below 40 degrees. So when it gets cold these tires go on the car. They are fantastic. The car handles unbelievably well in the winter months with these tires. The work so well in cold, light snow, ice and slush.

It's so cool to see peoples faces when you are absolutely ripping around in the snow in a Panamera while they are spinning their wheels. If you live in cold climates then you must try these tires.

To be fair, I had these mounted on a separate set of 19" Porsche wheels so the ride is a little smoother than what you will get on the summer 20" grippy hard performance wheel/tire sets. Honestly though, the roads seem to be worse in the winters around here so getting a thicker sidewall tire is a good idea for these cold months.

The Panamera is such a cool car, with these tires it is a truly great winter car.

The tires aren't suited for any snow over an inch, so don't go out in deep snow with these, but on the packed down snow and ice, these things rock!

...There were a few times when due to ice with lesser tires I believe I would have lost control, but these tires shine compared to any other in the winter performance category.

Best tires for the money. I had a beater winter car with non-sport winter tires for the really bad days when I didn't want to risk the nicer car. However, I only drove it a couple of times due to the weather. Otherwise, the PA4s made me feel confident enough to drive on them. There were a few times when due to ice with lesser tires I believe I would have lost control, but these tires shine compared to any other in the winter performance category.

I bought these because they were only ones I could get that fit (I was looking for all weather.). My summer tires were/are like driving slippery at any temperature below 50F. At 40F, like glass or hard plastic. Since purchase, I have driven in wet weather at 30 to 40F and they provide excellent traction. No more slipping on hard acceleration. No hydroplaning at highway speeds. They feel fine at temperatures up to 80F and do not get hot. They are much quieter than the summer tires and provide a more comfortable ride. They are not as responsive as the summer tires but provide much better traction in the cold(anything 50F are cooler). I have 2500 miles and they show no wear. I will switch back to summer tires but keep these for next winter also. I would buy again. I am impressed.

...Dry conditions are handled well...

We live in Denver but spend many weekends up in the mountains, especially in the winter. These tires have performed well in both light snow and heavy snow with 3-5 inches on roadway. I have not had the opportunity to drive in icy conditions. They are mounted on 19" BBS wheels and road noise is light. Dry conditions are handled well. I would buy again.

...They handle great in the dry for a snow tire, though no where near the PSS summer tires.

I've used Pilot Alpin snow tires for about 12-15 yrs. Have always felt safe and confident with them. This is the first PA4 tires and they were probably better than the last PA3 (?) models. Had to drive in the mountains for about 180 miles in passes etc. Nothing stopped these, and easily could pass on inclines and they stayed planted even in deep new snow. Great on slush and even icy condition. Will definitely buy these again. They are even more quiet than my PSS, though many say those make a lot of noise. They handle great in the dry for a snow tire, though no where near the PSS summer tires.

These tires are like a miracle. They allowed me to drive my Cayman S as a daily all through the Oregon winter. From torrential downpours to random freak unforecasted blizzards, these got me home safely. Never have I been so impressed with a tire's performance. They literally paid for themselves. I never once experienced hydroplaning, and I could put all of my car's power down in 1st gear even in the rain, with lateral grip in corners to match.

In the random blizzard I was unable to avoid (I wouldn't deliberately drive this car through snow), I was one of the few people that wasn't getting stuck thanks to this tire. My mid engine RWD sports car was able to power up snow covered hills past FWD cars on all seasons that were just spinning their tires, going nowhere -- priceless.

If you are one of the few people who bought their Porsche to enjoy year round, this is the tire for you during the winter in a wet climate. Worth every penny.

...These are certainly not as sticky as summer tires when things start to get warm, but they are quiet, smooth running, totally predictable, and stay in balance very nicely.

I am into my second season on a set of these tires on my 2015 Porsche Turbo S, which I drive every day, rain, snow or ice, in New England in the Boston area. The car is an absolute beast in winter conditions on these tires - super stable and predictable, and even holds its own in unplowed snow. I am careful on ice - I guess that's to be expected - but other than that I have pretty much the same fun with it as on summer tires. Plus, this is the first set of snows that I have had on any of my Turbos (I have driven several since 1996) that I have not been just desperate to get off the car when spring comes around (I have used all the other major brands at one time or another). These are certainly not as sticky as summer tires when things start to get warm, but they are quiet, smooth running, totally predictable, and stay in balance very nicely.

I had Pirelli Sottozero 3 before and those tires had less grip, were noisier and were just generally a step below these. These tires have been a dream honestly, as soon as temps reach below 45 degrees (as a high) in Maryland I swap my Summer tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) out for these which I have on separate rims. I HIGHLY recommend them as they have grip levels on dry, cold pavement about 80-90% as high the 4S. They are also MUCH quieter than the 4S tires, I can't comment compared to the MXM4's these are probably similar in noise to those. There is a definite decrease in the "thrumming" at low and especially higher speeds as well as ride comfort is much improved over bumps and potholes etc due to the softer sidewall (compared to the 4S. The only falloff on these tires are in deep snow 4+ inches, if you're in an area that has 4+ inches on the ground a lot and you have to drive through I'd recommend a non high performance snow and go with a regular snow tire. I have had great experience driving a few times in 4+ inches but can tell that there are better tires for that. Since Maryland basically shuts down when we get that much snow, these are excellent for cold, dry pavement, cold and wet pavement, a few inches of snow, Ice patches and icy roads etc (milder winter climates). I'd say in a straight line and around not so sharp turns these keep up with the 4S, I feel like the traction control on the Model 3 is great and there is the same amount of grip as the 4S. Only around turns because of a softer sidewall it leaves some to be desired against the 4S, but still absolutely phenomenal. Lastly, with all winter tires you're going to lose some "heft/heaviness" in the steering - this tire is no different, I'd say it takes ~30% less effort to turn the steering wheel than the 4S. It's still great and doesn't make the steering completely ---- but it takes away some of the "feel" for sure, just something to note. These tires are worth the $!

...Have driven 5000 miles thus far and tread wear is almost nil...well worth the $$$!

Tires exceeded expectations! In dry cold, below freezing, sidewall is a bit softer than PS4Ss, but she still handles just about as well. Turn in dry and cold not nearly as responsive as PS4Ss, though. Drove home from tire shop with about 10" of snow, other than snow getting stuck in the radiator holes up front, tires plowed right through w/zero issues, I wouldn't recommend driving boxster or cayman in any more than 5"-6" of snow. Driving on packed 3"-4" of snow, w/traction control OFF, cars is very manageable drifting and controlled slides. Very little slippage when giving about 1/3 throttle and accelerating up to 60mph, breaking is also excellent on packed snow. Wet cold conditions also excellent. Have driven 5000 miles thus far and tread wear is almost nil..........well worth the $$$!

...Wear has been great... When this set wear out, which is nowhere in sight, I'll get another.

Not sure I'm qualified to be a tire reviewer, but I always learn a lot from similar reviews so I'll 'give back' here. We live on a 1 mi dirt road way down a peninsula on the coast of Maine. I work from home, so not a daily commuter. I use the car for runs to town, the dump, and up to civilization mainly, with the occasional week-long multi-state highway trip. These tires have been fantastic for this use, and exactly what I'd hoped. I leave them on year-round. Road noise is unnoticeable. Wear has been great. The car handles so well that I exit after every drive with a big smile on my face. AWD of course helps, but the the tires handle mud, ice and snow on our local [often dirt] roads very well. On dry days I turn off AWD and traction control, downshift and hit the gas, and it feels like I'm driving a sport coupe. With these tires I know I'm good to go no matter the weather. That's all I can ask, and these tires deliver. When this set wear out, which is nowhere in sight, I'll get another.
