Blizzak WS90 calloutsThe Blizzak WS90 is Bridgestone's Studless Ice & Snow winter tire developed for drivers of sedans, coupes, minivans and crossovers looking for confident control in a variety of difficult winter weather. When winter driving conditions are at their worst, Bridgestone's Blizzak WS90 winter tires are designed to be at their best.

The directional pattern of the Blizzak WS90 features increased block stiffness to deliver more responsive steering in addition to improved wear life, and Bridgestone's EdgePerformance Technology Package includes full-depth features and interlocking sipes to provide impressive performance longer through the tire's life. The tread pattern features greater contact area and 15% more block edges than the Blizzak WS90's predecessor, increasing ice traction and reducing braking distances in slippery conditions. It is molded from Bridgestone's next generation Multi-Cell compound with bite particles, which allows the tire to remove the thin layer of water that develops between the tread rubber and icy surfaces, enabling the tire to better grip the ice. Silica enhancements in the compound further improve grip in snow and on ice.

Blizzak WS90 Studless Ice & Snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Blizzak WS90 tires feature snow platforms that act as winter wear bars and notify drivers when they are near the end of the Multi-Cell compound (actual depth of Multi-Cell compound varies slightly by tire size). Beneath the Multi-Cell compound is Bridgestone's best winter compound, but without the Multi-Cell feature.

Install Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of Blizzak WS90 tires, Bridgestone recommends using them only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

All-Weather vs. Winter Tires: The Definitive Test(12:05)

Brent and TJ set off with a couple of objectives in this, the first test of 2026. The first is to highlight the differences between two types of Grand Touring tires: all-season and all-weather. Second, to see how they stack up to dedicated winter tires. The internet is a great resource, but not all the information out there is accurate, and this test is designed to truly set the record straight.

...Very good handling and stopping in dry or wet, and they ride nice and quiet...

A great compromise between performance and all weather traction if you live in an area that does not get much snow or ice in winter. Very good handling and stopping in dry or wet, and they ride nice and quiet. Tread life so far is good. I have hit a few potholes with no tire damage so pretty tough for this class of tires. While reviews seem to indicate they are one of the best high performance all season tires in the snow, they are barely passable based on my experience in NJ where we have experienced a few good sized storms. Previously I had a set of Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires which were much better in winter, but not as good handling in the other seasons.

...They're really good in snow to my surprise, durable and quiet...

Oh man, i put these on a set of motegis and then got lowering springs after buying these tires so i would say im a very fair judge of getting the most out of these tires.

They handle GREAT, they stick nicely in corners, give all kinds of confidence behind the wheel, theyre really good in snow to my surprise, durable and quiet.

I already knew what i was getting and they exceeded expectations. They also have held up well even with hard cornering.

...Corners I used to squeal around I now take faster with zero noise or drama. Dry traction is amazing, wet is better as well...

I love these tires! So much better than the Firestones that came as stock on my Si. Corners I used to squeal around I now take faster with zero noise or drama. Dry traction is amazing, wet is better as well. The steering response took a little getting used to, the Firestones were more "instant" while these seem a little less authoritative, like with the Firestones you'd look where you wanted to go and already be going that direction, while the PS4s need a little more nudging to get going in the right direction. With that said, they are much better at maintaining straight line cruising and don't catch or drift nearly as much.

Had TIRE RACK send these tires to my preferred service garage, which can install tires, balance each wheel, and complete alignments.
These tires hold the road in any weather condition (wet or dry/hot or freezing).
No tire noise. Just grip on the road. Warm them up with light driving just as you warm up the engine and then go.
Do plenty of driving tours year-round with these tires. Worth it!

These Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4's have been the ideal match to my '21 Arteon SEL-P. So much better all-around than the OE Continentals. The ride is even pretty good considering the size is 245-35 20. Would I buy again? I Sure would and probably will as this Arteon is quickly becoming a favorite daily driver.
