The Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar® is Goodyear's premium On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for light truck drivers looking to combine on-road competence with off-road versatility. Offered in Standard Load sizes for half-ton vehicles, Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires are also available in Pro-Grade Load Range E sizes for three-quarter and one-ton pickup trucks, vans and SUVs that regularly haul or tow heavy loads.

Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires feature a longwearing, specialized rubber tread compound (Pro-Grade tires use an even more chip- and chunk-resistant tread compound that enhances wear in high-torque applications). These compounds are molded into a multi-faceted symmetric tread design that combines rugged looks along with on-road comfort and off-road traction. Open shoulder blocks and traction ridges at the base of the outboard circumferential grooves help clear mud and snow (Pro-Grade tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol).

The sidewall rubber compound features Goodyear's Durawall Technology to protect the olyester cord body by resisting cuts, punctures, scuffing and abrasion

The tire's internal tructure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced by a spirally wrapped layer of next-generation DuPont Kevlar* cord to combine strength with comfort (Pro-Grade belts feature thicker steel cords reinforced by two layers of spirally wrapped DuPont Kevlar cord).

Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar (On-Road All-Terrain)
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab in the parking lot
A behind-the-wheel experience on the autocross course showed Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure tires gripped the corners on wet asphalt.

Goodyear provided an opportunity to experience their Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar® tires in Colorado Springs, CO, one of America’s top areas for outdoor recreational activities. They offered several on-road and dirt-road experiences behind the wheel of a variety of SUVs and pickup trucks in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains.

Driving a long wheelbase Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab through a parking lot autocross course may not be the most intuitive way to experience an On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire. However, its asphalt handling and traction are very important since this type of tire will typically spend more time on-road than off. And while no one would mistake this vehicle/tire combination for a sporty coupe on Goodyear Eagle performance tires, the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar provided good grip, predictable handling and capable stopping traction in both dry and wet conditions.

In order to cover today’s ever-growing range of light truck vehicles, Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires are available in Standard Load metric sizes, as well as heavy-duty Load Range E LT-metric sizes. Goodyear identifies the heavy-duty sizes as Pro Grade tires for drivers who work hard and play hard, and are often faced with hauling heavy loads or towing large trailers for work or recreation. A 1 ½-hour scenic drive would provide the opportunity to experience both versions.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab on a hill
Driving on Rocky Mountain canyon roads demonstrated the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure lived up to its name on gravel and dirt.

Starting out from Colorado Springs in a Chevrolet Tahoe on the 265/70R17 Standard Load metric tires, the route headed south on the road. The Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires provided appropriate ride qualities and proved to be very quiet on the road. The route went into the mountains and followed the canyon roads to higher elevations. As the asphalt ended and the graded dirt roads began, the tires’ open shoulders and multi-faceted tread blocks delivered predictable steering response and traction on dirt.

Reaching the mid-point destination, we had the opportunity to change vehicles and drive a Ram 1500 Crew Cab on Pro Grade LT265/70R17 Load Range E tires for our return. The Ram’s driver doorjamb tire placard called for 40 psi cold inflation pressures and we were again treated to a quiet, comfortable ride for the trip back to town.

While we didn’t get a chance to truly challenge the off-road capabilities of the Kevlar-reinforced treads or Durawall Technology sidewall rubber, past experience confirms both contribute to the tire’s toughness and strength.

Amazing set of tires, even though the car I use these on is nowhere near performance oriented, the way a car can be entirely transformed with a good set of tires cannot be underestimated. Wet traction is amazing, in a way that you will notice from the first time you drive with these tires on: even light snow proved no challenge. Overall amazing set of tires, even the sidewall looks good!

Excellent tires. They ride and handle well in the dry but they really stand out in the rain and snow. They give me a confidence driving on a wintry Vermont road with just front wheel drive. Yet I’d also don’t have to worry about Aquaplaining.

Ok, blasted through a set of these Pilot All Season 4 tires and now I'm writing my review. Past tires on this car are the Michelin Pilot 4 S and the 4 SUV's. Only issue with these past tires were when I wanted to drive in the snow. With no dedicated snow tire, I was forced to drive the summers which I learned would develop micro cracks in the rubber. Do not take summer tires in the snow...EVER!

I was worried that I would slide off the edge but the MPS AS4's took to it like a champ. Didn't slide anywhere. They gripped in 25 degree weather with a snowstorm. Even did well in the parking lot with some ice.

Being another set right now! The set I'm replacing was purchased 25 months ago.

...They are all season tires so not at all considered 'summer performance', but perform much better than expected... they also do pretty good in the snow ( better than I thought they would for sure)...

These tires came factory on my car (Model Y Performance) in staggered sizes of 255/35/R21 front and 275/35/R21 rear. I moved the 275 to the front and put these 295/35R21 on the rear. I love them. They are all season tires so not at all considered "summer performance", but perform much better than expected. Dry traction is excellent during warm weather, and they also do pretty good in the snow (better than I thought they would for sure). I'll probably buy them again when they wear out.

Our 2022 Tesla Model S came with Goodyear summer tires in Oct 2022. We quickly switched them out to Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons (same as we put on our 2018 Tesla Model S) before winter set in. We just finished 27200 miles on our first set of PS All Season on this car in 2 years and bought a new set of the same tires. My wife drives the Tesla (not in a spirited way) and we are very impressed with the noise and comfort level (low NVH) and great dry grip and adequate light snow grip. Truly amazed at how long the tires lasted on such a heavy vehicle.

Worth mentioning that between our 2016 and 2018 and 2022 Tesla Model S we have tried several tire brands such as Continental, Pirelli and Goodyear. Michelin is the best overall for NVH and general grip/handling and vastly better on tread life. For my own cars (2020 Porsche 911 S and now 2023 Porsche 911 GTS which I drive in a very spirited way) I have switched from original Goodyear and Pirelli summer tires to Michelin PS4S (along with Michelin Alpin 5 for winter use) and again I see much better grip and handling (especially on the racetrack), lower NVH and slightly better treadlife for a little more cost.

Excellent dry weather tires. My car is FWD and would easily torque steer on the OEM set. These immediately catch grip and drive you wherever they're pointed. Wet weather traction is much better than my originals as well as light snow. Ice is also a bit better but I don't agree with other reviews that they're almost like winter tires.

I would happily purchase these again. They're some of the best tires I've had so far.

Even though these are all season tires, they outshine the summer tires that came on the car from the factory. They are better at smoothing out smaller cracks and bumps. The initial turn in is very quick and precise! Steering feel is nice and predictable. Good in wet and light snow! Dry traction is fantastic! My car is stage 2 making around 500hp and just over 600ft/lbs of torque, and the grip upon full boost launch is awesome!! These tires really bite into the road. Overall great tire. ...My wheel/tire package is wider and a larger diameter than stock for the Vibe, so I will avoid comparing handling vs stock, but for the purposes of my lighter weight small car, these tires have made it feel like a Go-Kart... Traction is excellent in all conditions I've encountered, very responsive cornering and lane changes...

I purchased these tires as part of a package along with some Sparco DAKAR wheels to update my Pontiac Vibe, but I didn't want to review until I had some miles on them. Now that I have a little over 3,500 miles and a tire rotation under their belt, I can say I am EXTREMELY happy with them! My wheel/tire package is wider and a larger diameter than stock for the Vibe, so I will avoid comparing handling vs stock, but for the purposes of my lighter weight small car, these tires have made it feel like a Go-Kart. I have had the tires for about 6 months so far and have driven in conditions ranging from hot and dry to torrential summer thunderstorms, and now wet rainy autumn. I cannot speak to winter ice or snow conditions yet, but thankfully where I live I typically don't have more than a couple weeks of that anyway. Traction is excellent in all conditions I've encountered, very responsive cornering and lane changes. Braking traction, especially in wet conditions is almost scary good (keeping in mind my vehicle is less than 3,000lbs) it stops on a dime. After one rotation and checking tire wear, there is very little difference I can measure from brand new. Obviously driving habits and car weight will cause this to change drasitcally, so take that as you will. My driving is both city and highway, with a good amount of twisty mountain road leasure driving in between. Tire noise is minimal, but I will call it "strange" for lack of a better word; With all my windows down, in dry conditions at low speed, it somehow sounds like I am driving through a puddle. Like when you have wet tires after a car wash, but constantly. After 40mph this sound goes away and a normal "hum" is all, but it really is weird. Overall I strongly recommend these tires for anyone needing a performance style tire with multi-season traction, and if you have a smaller car like mine it will feel like a totally different ride.

This is my second set for this car. Love them. No matter how I push these tires, I always know ho they are going to respond. I am confident in all driving situations. This car goes quickly through tires, but these last longer than others. Comfort is great for this type of tire. Would buy a third set if I keep the car.

Wow, what a great tire and comfortable ride. Instantly improved the car’s comfort. Downsized the tire from 20’ to 18, added larger sidewall. It has helped the cars handling with bumps on the road. Highly suggest the combo if anyone was thinking about doing the same.

...However, my OEM tires which had significantly lower treadwear rating actually lasted much longer. I was severely disappointed by how quickly these reached the treadwear bars. The wear was even so no alignment issues...

I've been a lifelong Michelin fan and these tires have been well below the standard set by the brand. I came from the stock touring tires and wanted something a bit more performance oriented. These tires deliver quite well with that. They are definitely designed with that in mind and handle well in dry and wet conditions. However, my OEM tires which had significantly lower treadwear rating actually lasted much longer. I was severely disappointed by how quickly these reached the treadwear bars. The wear was even so no alignment issues. Furthermore, the noise level is unacceptable. I understand I was coming from a touring tire but I've had other high performance tires that weren't so noisy. This was evident right from the beginning and luckily did not get worse over time. If wear and noise matter, don't buy these. If you only care about performance then these do rather well. Overall, definitely not up to Michelin standards.

...Treadwear is very good so far I am at 6/32 to 7/32; I expect at least another 20,000 miles from these before they are too worn down to be safe for winter usage, which is pretty good for my driving style...

I bought these in summer 2022 and now have exactly 20,000 miles. Most of my driving is in the city in stop and go conditions from 55 or 65 mph to zero for about 10-15 miles each way every day. And then on the weekend some twisty mountain roads.

These tires have exceeded my expectations in pretty much every regard. I've previously had the Pilot Sport 3 summer tire, and this tire has about 90% of the grip of that tire in good weather. Hydroplaning resistance is maybe a little bit less than the PS3 was. Comfort levels are also very high considering the quality of the local roads and a 40-series sidewall. It's close to some grand touring tires I've had from Pirelli and Continental. Noise levels are very good as well, though they have gotten louder in 20,000 miles, but not uncomfortably so. The Hankook UHP all seasons I had on before these were noticeably terrible at this point in their life.

Treadwear is very good so far I am at 6/32 to 7/32; I expect at least another 20,000 miles from these before they are too worn down to be safe for winter usage, which is pretty good for my driving style.

They do very well so far in light to moderate snowfall. They are certainly not on the same level as a dedicated winter tire, or even CrossClimates that I've had on a RWD Mercedes, but they work well in my city, which usually does a good job clearing the roads. In ice, they are about the same as every all season. If you are in a humid winter environment where there is ice, you really should be running winter tires.

I would definitely recommend these to almost anyone. I would buy them again if I were not a tire nerd who has to try out something new every time I get tires :D
