Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Ratings highlight excellence in the Michelin Primacy LTX's all-season performance, with strong 9-10 scores dominating dry and wet traction. Treadwear earns consistent praise for long-lasting tread life, backed by high ratings. Comfort stands out for smooth, quiet rides, aligning with highway-focused expectations. Winter traction shows solid capability in light snow, though some note reduced grip on ice or in deep snow-common limitations for all-season designs. Wet conditions reveal reliable hydroplaning resistance and confident handling. Dry traction shines as a standout strength, with near-perfect scores for grip and stability. Overall, customers report high satisfaction for year-round highway use, with minor caveats in extreme winter scenarios.

I have driven these tires in dry, wet and snow conditions. It capable of all road conditions in Chicago, even in some deep snow and ices, it feels safe...
I replace these tires for the factory conti ssr on my 335 xdrive. The original conti is very good however these MXM4 is just better. better in almost very area including better traction, sharper cornering and softer ride and less noise. I have driven these tires in dry,wet and snow conditions. It capable of all road conditions in Chicago, even in some deep snow and ices, it feels safe. The only draw back is seems the tire have 1 less mile per gallon in gas, it might be due to change of driving behavior, but it is really don't hurt compare to all those gains i had. Over all, it is the best run flat i have driven on.
ps.I just went to the dealer for service, they measured the tire tread depth, seems it is also consume faster than the factory conti, but it does come with deeper thread then the conti ssr, so assume they have the same life.

...Sidewalls are softer, pot holes are not loud on impact, road noise has been reduced, and wet/dry traction has been improved significantly...
Only 300 Miles so far. These run flats replaced original Bridgestone EL42 run flats. The Bridgestone were garbage.
These Michelins resolve alot of the flaws of the Bridgestone. Sidewalls are softer, pot holes are not loud on impact, road noise has been reduced, and wet/dry traction has been improved significantly. You can barely tell these are run flats. Sure they are a tad stiffer then normal tires, but they are run flats.
Only 300 miles so far, will give another update after I use them in snow.

...Handling doesn't seem quite as sharp as the Goodyears, but the ride is MUCH improved, and the wet performance is great...
Early impressions are very positive- this is a significant upgrade for my X3 from the OEM Goodyears. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 tires have higher than acceptable road force despite the original balancing and two trips to BMW, so I'm waiting for a response on replacements from Michelin.
Handling doesn't seem quite as sharp as the Goodyears, but the ride is MUCH improved, and the wet performance is great. Mileage has dropped a little (1mpg on average through 2.5 tanks), but it's an acceptable tradeoff given how well these perform. Hopefully the warranty replacement will go off without a hitch....

The Michelin Primacy LTX delivers confident winter traction, with many customers scoring snow performance 8-10. While ice and deep snow traction show some variability, most drivers find it reliable for all-season highway use.

...Went on 900 mile trip to mountains with in snow, ice, rain, wind, and hot sun...
I needed a all season tire with run flat for my x3. This was the highest rated tire that met those two requirements. My experience thus far is close to what other reviewers have said. The tire has two weaknesses; turn in could be quicker and , yes, the ride could be smoother. Most run flats ride more firmly than non run flats and this is true of this tire to a smaller degree. On smoother highways or residential streets is smooth. On poorly surfaced roads, this tire will jiggle you mildly. On the plus side, it performs well in almost every performance category. And it is quiet. Went on 900 mile trip to mountains with snow, ice, rain, wind, and hot sun. Overall, this tire is a winner for me.

...Rides well in wet or snow, so if you don't mind a little noise, good tires...
While I like the handling, the noise from the tread is annoying. Sounds like I have knobby tires for off roading. Rides well in wet or snow, so if you don't mind a little noise, good tires. I turn up my music to drown out the noise.

...They are good performing all season tires and reasonably good in the snow...
This set of tires is our third or fourth set of Michelin Primacy MX*4 tires. They are good performing all season tires and reasonably good in the snow. We have dedicated snow tires for winter and use the MXM4's in the other three seasons. Decent tread life for on our BMW X1.

...The dry traction is great, handling much improved, and very quiet considering the RFT design...
Have not had these on very long, and have not yet tried them on snow. But these tires instantly proved to be far better than the mediocre Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sports they replaced. Solid choice if you must chose a MOExtended/Run-Flat tire for your ride. The dry traction is great, handling much improved, and very quiet considering the RFT design. And for Run-Flats, a good value if you compare their specs and tire wear rating with other similar choices. No regrets here!

...After 3,500 miles and 1 year of use, my new Michelins have performed very well in all respects - ride comfort, quiet, handling, weather, etc. - the best (by far) run flat tires I've had on any vehicle...
My 2017 BMW 330i X Sportwagon had Michelin Primacy run flats OE; I ordered a set of 225/50R-17 Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP run flats (recommended replacement tire, same size as OE) mounted on a set of BBS SR Anthracite Gray 17" wheels (8" rim width - the OE BMW alloys were 7.5"). After about 3,500 miles and 1 year of use, my new Michelins have performed very well in all respects - ride comfort, quiet, handling, weather, etc. - the best (by far) run flat tires I've had on any vehicle. The BBS SR wheels look great - I've received quite a few compliments. Thank you Tire Rack for discounting the purchase price of my wheels & tires (I picked them up @ the TR distribution center @ New Castle, DE).

These tires are much quieter than the OEM Bridgestone tires they replaced. Ride quality is slightly better on expansion joints and bridge transitions. Rolling resistance appears to be less, as they roll and turn easier at low speeds.

...With almost 33 thousand miles there is actually a lot of treadwear left. I am going to replace these tires with the exact same tires as I find no flaw with them. Normally as tire get close to end of life they begin to get noisy and ride differently, I am not experiencing that with this tire...
I have has these tire OEM supplied on my Cadillac ATS Performance Model with the 3.6L engine. This car for its weight has a lot of power 323 hp so I find myself looking to push these tires, bottom line they stick and they wear really well and you have the piece of mind that they are also run flat tires. Normally as tire get close to end of life they begin to get noisy and ride differently, I am not experiencing that with this tire. I will be ordering a new Z06 which will come with Michelin tires which pleases me very much. I will put new OEM tires on my ATS before I sell it so the new owner can have the great experience I have had.

Exceeded my expectations, especially for a run flat tire. Had the set for 2 years, 9 months on a 2016 328i. The tires made it past 70k miles, with still a little ways to go before the wear bars, but one picked up a nail near the side wall, so I'm replacing all 4. I am especially pleased by how they stayed quiet and smooth-riding through their entire life. I checked the alignment once a year or so, but wasn't especially diligent about rotating them, and they still wore evenly. Have also driven with one flat, on two occasions, and it did very well: first time, for about 30 miles of highway driving. 2nd time, only 10 miles or so of surface streets. (1st was replaced under the road hazard warranty - a smooth and painless process, btw. This second time, we're out of the 2 year warranty period, so I'm replacing all four.) I know many folks think run-flats are harsh, or somehow inferior to "normal" tires, but I would not describe these Michelins that way. For a mostly-highway commuter car (100 miles per day) they're outstanding, and I'm happily buying another set to replace them.
