The Primacy MXM4 is Michelin's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for luxury sedan and coupe drivers looking to combine all-weather handling and traction with good noise and ride comfort. Most Primacy MXM4 tires meet Michelin's Green X standard* for eco-focused manufacturing and low rolling resistance, and confirms the tire's contribution to reducing vehicle fuel consumption, emission of CO2 gases and improving sustainability through conservation of natural resources. The Primacy MXM4 is designed to blend a quiet, comfortable ride, responsive handling and enhanced fuel efficiency with year-round all-season traction, even in light snow.
The Primacy MXM4 features Michelin's first use of their patented sunflower oil-enriched Helio Compound technology in an all-season tire to increase traction at low temperatures for improved braking and handling in the wet, as well as better overall performance in the snow. The Helio Compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring a European handling profile with rounder shoulders that are designed to provide progressive, predictable cornering. Circumferential grooves evacuate water out from under the tire's footprint to reduce hydroplaning while Michelin's 3-D Variable Thickness Sipe Technology provides additional biting edges to enhance wet and wintertime traction.
The Primacy MXM4 was developed with Michelin Comfort Control Technology using computer-optimized design and precision manufacturing methods to reduce vibration and road noise. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Michelin's BAZ (Banded At Zero) spiral-wrapped polyamide cord that stabilizes the tread area to enhance treadwear, handling and high-speed capability. The Primacy MXM4 features a polyester cord body to provide a smooth ride.

Range is a very important consideration for Electric Vehicles, and the Original Equipment tires often place a strong emphasis on efficiency. But what do they give up? We compared the Tesla Model 3’s Original Equipment Michelin tires to popular replacement market tires from the same brand to see how each one affects the vehicle’s range and traction.
Customers praise the Michelin Primacy MXM4 for its smooth and quiet ride, with comfort scores consistently in the 8-10 range. Treadwear receives strong marks for long-lasting durability, though a few reports of uneven wear appear in lower-mileage use. Winter traction earns positive feedback for confidence in light snow, though some note mixed results in icy conditions. ...The wet weather traction is almost as good as the dry weather traction, and always given us confidence even in the worst thunderstorms...
This is the 3rd set of tires I've purchased for the Accord, and 2 sets for another Accord until it was taken out by a distracted driver in a truck. Our Accord has the 2.4L with a manual transmission, so the front-to-rear weight balance is better than a V-6 equipped Accord. The wet weather traction is almost as good as the dry weather traction, and always given us confidence even in the worst thunderstorms. Response is tight on turn-in to a corner and the traction from the apex out stays consistent. We've driven in snow up to 4-6 inches deep and have been surprised how well the traction has performed. Never had the need to drive on ice, so can't comment on that. Typically, we can't get 70-80K miles on a set but you need to keep on top of the rotation and alignment schedule too. As the tires get towards the end of their service life, they will tend to get loud from normal road conditions. Considering that these tires perform so well, it's a small thing to put up with until a new set is called for.
In the end, I'm a pretty tough customer when it comes to tires. As such, I've no desire to spend any time trying to find something else that might be better. And when your family spends time driving it more than I do, the risk/reward just isn't there for me. You will pay a bit more for these tires than some others, but the fact remains you get what you pay for. If your family's safety means anything, put a crowbar in that wallet and get a set.

...The reason for the review is to voice my opinion about the tires abilities in the snow. Having gone through a blizzard or two in Wisconsin, these tires do not have what it takes to make a person feel confident that you won't get stranded or in a ditch. Trying to get traction from a stop, turning or attempting to stop with reasonable force [ not locking up the brakes] is white knuckling at best...
These Michelin primacy MXM4 tires came with the purchase of the car. Overall the performance of the tires in dry and wet conditions are good. Handling is responsive to the drivers input. The reason for the review is to voice my opinion about the tires abilities in the snow. Having gone through a blizzard or two in Wisconsin, these tires do not have what it takes to make a person feel confident that you won't get stranded or in a ditch. Trying to get traction from a stop, turning or attempting to stop with reasonable force [ not locking up the brakes] is white knuckling at best. I take my foot of the brake [did not touch the gas] and the front end started slipping sideways instantly, it's an UGLY feeling when you have a line of traffic behind you! Iv'e had other tires on cars that Iv'e been able to get more than the expected life out of them. My current tires have 22K of 40K left and I'm cutting my losses and getting new tires ASAP! I hate losing out on the remaining tread life ,but peace of mind supersedes $$ sometimes. Anyone looking for new tires should automatically stop at Tire rack website for the technical specs. It's an excellent tool in the decision making process. I'm glad it exists.

...No squeakiness on dry pavement and rolling noise is low...
Tires are quieter than even the last exact same model. No squeakiness on dry pavement and rolling noise is low. Rolling resistance will probably be unchanged from the last set. I’ve had the exact same model of tires for the last 100,000 miles with enjoyable driving and no issues.

...I'd say noise is average, comfort is good...
These tires came with my new 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring. They lasted 55k miles. I have abused them by accidentally going over curves, pretty hard and they took it even though it cut a little of the sidewall. I never had a flat. I'd say noise is average, comfort is good. I highly recommend these tires
Michelin Primacy MXM4 treadwear earns mostly 9-10 scores for excellent longevity, with many 7-8 ratings reflecting strong all-season durability. Some note varied wear experiences.
