The Primacy Tour A/S is Michelin's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of family sedans, coupes, crossovers and SUVs looking to maximize ride and noise comfort and maintain year-round traction. The Primacy Tour A/S is designed to deliver a premium driving experience combined with all-season capability, even in light snow.

The five-rib pattern of the Primacy Tour A/S's asymmetric tread design is tuned to provide the refined, quiet ride expected of a luxury touring tire. Wide outboard shoulder blocks aid dry handling and lateral grip, and sweeping grooves help evacuate water for hydroplaning resistance. Zigzag sipes located in the center and inboard ribs, as well as the inside shoulder, provide traction in snow and on ice.

The internal construction of the Primacy Tour A/S consists of a two-ply, polyester cord casing that promotes ride comfort, and two steel belts stabilize the tread. A single, polyamide reinforcement aids handling and delivers high-speed capability.

All-Weather vs. Winter Tires: The Definitive Test(12:05)

Great tires. Much quieter than the OEM tires that they replaced while offering very good wet performance (the most important metric to me). I have run Michelin tires for 20+ years and these are the best so far. Good fuel economy as well.

...Dry and wet traction is superb...

Can't believe how inexpensive these Michelin's are compared to the other competitor tires. Noise and confort level far superior than the run-flats that came with my car. Dry and wet traction is superb. I even got to use these in the snow and they did pretty well considering. This is my second set of tires that I've purchased for the rear of my staggered setup BMW X3.

Great riding tire and great in both dry and wet conditions...

Great riding tire and great in both dry and wet conditions, good in light snow. Of course the AWD helps immensely. I have rotated them twice after 8000 miles but the tires are wearing much faster than I would expect for a premium tire. After 16,000 miles they have worn 2.5/32" (they are 8.5/32" new). I typically replace my tires at 4/32" but if these continue with good performance I may drive them down to 3/32". At this wear rate that would project out to 29k - 35k miles, much sooner than the 55k warranty.

Overall this is a great tire, and produces really good grip while being pretty quiet. This is currently my second set of these tires and I have loved both. These handle the rough Midwest roads well and have had no issues with potholes.

I am hoping that this second set lasts a little longer but so far so good.

...The quietness of these tires is simply remarkable- on a level I didn't think was possible... Thanks to the integrated acoustic foam, road noise is reduced significantly and and on newer roads, there is no noise at all of even the tires rotating. These tires have turned every drive into a peaceful and relaxing escape...

I recently decided to upgrade my tires to a set of Michelin Primacy Tour tires with the acoustic foam, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. Historically, I’ve steered away from Michelin due to their premium price tag, but after taking the plunge, I can confidently say the investment was worth it.

I drive an Infiniti Q70 Sport equipped with 20" wheels, and these tires have completely transformed my driving experience. The quietness of these tires is simply remarkable—on a level I didn’t think was possible. I always thought the vehicle itself just wasn't insulated enough. it turned out to not be the case at all and the culprit was simply the tires. Thanks to the integrated acoustic foam, road noise is reduced significantly and and on newer roads, there is no noise at all of even the tires rotating. These tires have turned every drive into a peaceful and relaxing escape.

Before switching to Michelin, I had Continental Extreme DWS tires, which were fantastic for performance. However, they were a significant letdown when it came to road noise and comfort. The Primacy Tours, by contrast, are in a league of their own when it comes to reducing noise while maintaining excellent performance.

If a serene and whisper-quiet ride is what you’re after, these tires are a game-changer. While the cost may seem steep initially, the unparalleled quietness and comfort they deliver make them worth every penny. Highly recommended!

...Treadwear is astounding. I'm at 38k miles now and I still have around 5+mm left before I get to the tread wear indicator. So, it seems like I could possibly get 50k miles out of these tires...

I don't know how these tires have a high wet rating, in my experience they've been hot garbage in wet conditions. I feel like I'm hydroplaning all the time, and any time I need to go around a curve I have to slow well below the speed limit because I can feel my car slip at the slightest turn. I haven't been able to test a lot in the snow, but what I have has been ok, but not great. Luckily this wet performance has gotten better over time, like after 20k miles, and I can drive almost normal what I would expect for wet conditions now near the end of the tire life.

Dry performance is pretty fantastic, no issues there, lots of grip and great cornering.

Treadwear is astounding. I'm at 38k miles now and I still have around 5+mm left before I get to the tread wear indicator. So, it seems like I could possibly get 50k miles out of these tires.

I probably wouldn't get these tires again unless they're the last higher end tire available.

Bang average premium tire, not too many complaints with how it handles. The longevity of it is amazing, though. I regularly had tires rotated (5k ish miles), and an alignment once a year. On a heavy EV, these have lasted me over 55k miles and have more to go. Mostly highway driving, but I'm somewhat aggressive on the corners and brakes. I did hit a pothole last year that has caused a whirring noise on the tire that is slightly annoying. Not sure if that is the fault of the tire though.
