Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Winter traction shows mixed results, with some customers reporting confidence in light snow but noting struggles on ice and deeper snow. Wet traction earns consistent praise for grip and hydroplaning resistance (7-10 scores), while dry traction stands out as a strength, delivering responsive handling and stability. Overall, reviewers highlight it as a dependable highway all-season tire for everyday driving, particularly valuing its comfort and dry/wet performance, though those in harsh winter conditions may want to consider dedicated winter tires.

...I've only driven 320 miles so far, but I am blown away by... great wet traction...
For an OEM these tires surprise me. I've only driven 320 miles so far, but I am blown away by the ride comfort, noise comfort, great wet traction, fantastic dry traction, and their response to steering input.

...Traction in the wet seems good and no issues in the winter here in MN...
Got brand new take off Primacy XCs from a 2019 or 2020 and put them on my 2016 F150 with 64K miles at the time. Did a rotation recently at 94,500 miles (2nd rotation since I got them) and measured tread depths. Wear was surprisingly consistent front and rear. All four tires were within 7.5-8/32 of tread depth remaining. The Primacy's are spec'ed at 10.5/32 stock, so roughly 2.5-3/32 wear in 30K is pretty good in my opinion. Quite impressed with these. Not sure why they get such a bad rep. They are quiet. Obviously wearing very well for me. Traction in the wet seems good and no issues in the winter here in MN. They aren't snow tires afterall but did fine all last winter. I'd surely get another set, if anything would go to a Defender LTX. Will all come done to cost when it comes time to swap them. Probably good for another 30-50K miles with these Primacy XCs.

...very comfortable, you dont have all the bumps and roughness you get from a truck. rides like a luxury car.
we really like the way the truck feels. very comfortable, you dont have all the bumps and roughness you get from a truck. rides like a luxury car. thats why we bought this type of truck and tires. only thing is disappointing is that we really wanted white wall tires but after waiting almost 3 months to get them, because of back ordered, i finally had to order them without white wall. i couldnt wait any longer for them since we had two tires splitting open and needed the safety of tire for driving.

...These tires are comfortable, very quiet and as an All season radial tire handle well on winter roads in Ohio.
My 2010 F150 Excab STX 4wd needed tires so I replaced my old Michelin's with these Michelin Primacy XC. These tires are comfortable, very quiet and as an All season radial tire handle well on winter roads in Ohio. If you think you need snow tires, buy them and don't complain about these. Today is about 28° and supposed to be a big snow day. Using a little caution and common sense, I had no problem driving through the parkway or on the highway at 60+ mph. Some people add extra weight in their truck for starting out. I thought these tires stopped as well as I hoped. The traction control works fine and I left it in 4x2 as there was no real need for 4x4 driving on roads. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

...I have 31K on them an all tires still have 7-8/32nds left on them. I drive almost exclusively highway loaded with 1K lbs or more 50% of the time... I will be buying another set in about a year with current rate of wear.
I'm always leery about OE tires, these are super quiet and seem to be wearing excellent. I have 31K on them an all tires still have 7-8/32nds left on them. I drive almost exclusively highway loaded with 1K lbs or more 50% of the time. They are not the best in snow and ice but if its that bad I just stay home. I will be buying another set in about a year with current rate of wear.

...After 25,000 miles in and the tread is still looking good...
Made the switch from Goodyear Wranglers to these tires. 25,000 miles in and the tread is still looking good. Much smoother and quieter ride than the Wranglers in my opinion. Decent traction overall. Had a little trouble with mud, but I got out, so I can't complain. Great tire if most of your driving is on paved roads. Will buy again.

Customers report mixed winter traction with scores varying widely (0-10). While some praise confident snow performance with 9s and 10s, others note struggles on ice (multiple 0-3 scores). All-Season design handles light winter conditions adequately for many, but ice traction concerns are common in lower ratings.

...However, in light snow and on any ice, they struggle to maintain traction.
This tire came with my new F150. The tires look good, are quiet and handle well on dry pavement. However, in light snow and on any ice, they struggle to maintain traction. I would not purchase these when replacements become necessary.

...The Michelin Primacy XC performance in slush and ice was unacceptable both in directional stability and braking, but it was an exciting experience. I will put the tires back on for summer use, but would strongly advise against them for winter use in areas that have snow.

After 1 month, 700 miles, and 3 snow storms, these OEM tires went off to the wholesaler... They were very poor on packed snow.
After 1 month, 700 miles, and 3 snow storms, these OEM tires went off to the wholesaler. I can't see why Ford would put these on a 4wd vehicle. They were very poor on packed snow.
