The Ventus V12 evo2 (K120) is Hankook's Max Performance Summer tire
developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and high
performance sedans who want to express their personality and style.
Designed to deliver impressive traction and handling, Ventus V12 evo2
tires offer comfort and control in warm dry and wet road conditions.
However, like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in
near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Ventus V12
evo2 radial's high-grip silica tread compound features an innovative
functionalized styrene polymer that lowers tire rolling resistance to
enhance vehicle fuel economy without surrendering dry and wet traction.
This compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring notched shoulders and 3D intermediate ribs flanking a continuous center rib to promote dry handling and traction. Circumferential and aqua jet lateral grooves promote efficient water evacuation from the center of
the tire's contact patch to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet
traction. Grooves in the intermediate blocks feature stealth technology
and a unique wing tip design that reduces noise.
The tire's
internal structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced by two plies
of spirally wrapped jointless nylon. High stiffness bead fillers
sandwich hard rubber between the sidewall's polyester cord casing plies
to improve handling response by resisting distortion at high speeds and
while cornering.
tomar curvas.

Max Performance Summer Tires: In Search of What Fits Your Needs(04:44)
Max Performance Summer tires are designed to offer the highest blend of dry/wet traction and handling via the latest in design and technology. Want it all in a tire you can drive and live with on the street? These might be for you.
Today the choices are plentiful and in this test we compare two of the newest. How do they do against the category's top rated?
Customers praise the Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) for its excellent dry traction, with many ratings in the 9-10 range highlighting sharp handling and confident cornering. Wet traction scores (7-10) show strong performance in intended conditions, though a few note reduced grip in heavy rain. Ride comfort earns consistent praise for smoothness and low noise, with most scores above 8. Treadwear receives mixed feedback, with frequent low scores (0-5) suggesting shorter lifespan than expected for a max performance summer tire. While drivers love its dry-focused capabilities, those prioritizing longevity may want to consider trade-offs.

...Excellent tire overall; great traction and cornering in wet & dry conditions, also quiet & comfortable on decent pavement...
Tires not purchased via Tire Rack, but OEM on my particular model. Excellent tire overall; great traction and cornering in wet & dry conditions, also quiet & comfortable on decent pavement. Other than its high price (nearly $500), I’d highly recommend it for EV owners looking for a UHP EV-ready tire for ‘spirited’ road, definitely not track, use.

My first set of Pirelli's and I can testify that the steering is much more sensitive with turn in beingg quicker with these tires over my previous ContiSport Contacts. They are grippy in both the wet and dry too. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Most customers rate dry traction as excellent, with scores predominantly 9s and 10s. Responsive handling and reliable grip in dry conditions align with max performance summer design. A few 7-8s note minor variances, but overall satisfaction is strong.

Great tire, hooks fairly well when launching, grabs hard if you punch it while rolling. Through the corners it's predictable, and holds the road quite well.

...The ride tone is great, hardly any noise and I was worried about that...
Pretty happy with these tires, I bought the 275/40 in the front and 315/35 in the rear and I’m way happy with them. The ride tone is great, hardly any noise and I was worried about that. I would recommend and buy again.

Many customers report unacceptable treadwear, with scores between 0-5 indicating rapid wear and disappointed in tread life. Frequent mentions of premature wear and needing replacement early, despite some higher scores (7-10) in dry/wet traction categories.

The treads are not very deep. They only had 500 miles on it when I took my car in for an oil change and the dealer thought that I needed a replacement. They do look pretty worn compared to my Michelins up front that have 20K on them...

They do look pretty worn compared to my Michelins up front that have 20K on them. Maybe they're made that way to provide a quieter ride, but now I'm a little concerned in wet conditions.
Great price and service from Tire Rack. Nothing but praises there.

I will admit my potenzas did wear extremely quickly and that is not something I can comment on here because I got rid of these tires after about 3000 miles...
I switched from Bridgestone Potenza to Pirelli PZ4 and right after I put them on, a close friend of mine told me they are the worst tires he’s ever put on his Audi. I dismissed him, but after just a week of driving on them, I have to agree. They have 0 wet traction and a fraction of the dry traction compared to my potenzas. I always had faith in my Quattro/bridgestone combo, but these took all of that confidence away. I will admit my potenzas did wear extremely quickly and that is not something I can comment on here because I got rid of these tires after about 3000 miles. Go buy Bridgestones or pilot sports.

Although these Pirelli PZeros are excellent for grip, they fail tremendously in tread wear. I've gone through a new set of these tires in 2 years, ( 12,000 miles, maybe a bit less) which is unacceptable and I'm 100% sure I won't purchase them again if they're bald in 2 years.
