The Geolandar G055 is Yokohama's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of small- and medium-sized utility vehicles looking to combine year-round traction, handling and comfort with eco-friendly environmental impact. Loaded with Yokohama's latest technology for the journeys ahead, Geolandar G055 tires are designed to offer responsive handling and long-lasting treadwear in every season, even in light snow.

Yokohama's BluEarth branding is used to identify ecologically friendly series of tires designed to deliver environmentally, human and socially friendly solutions for drivers and their vehicles. Geolandar G055 tires contribute to vehicle fuel economy by reducing tire rolling resistance* along with the vehicle's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Yokohama Geolandar G055 Geolandar G055 tires feature Yokohama's premium all-season compound that combines Orange Oil Technology and Silica to enhance wet and wintertime traction with high-tech polymers that resist wear and promote year-round traction. This compound is molded into a symmetric tread design featuring Integrated Shoulders and a continuous center rib to reduce road noise and promote even wear. Transition Grooves and Notch Sipes work together to maintain tread block rigidity to enhance handling and create biting edges to increase traction in wet and wintry conditions. Circumferential Zigzag Grooves channel water through the tread to resist hydroplaning while providing additional edges that promote wintertime traction.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon to improve highway stability and high-speed durability. Polyester casing plies provide strength and promote ride comfort.

*Specific sizes featuring BluEarth technology are identified as such on the sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...on-point and direct predictable handling feel even on my sportier jaunts or fast loops around highway cloverleaf ramps - including in the wet! These things hardly ever chirped and any dicey traction situations over the decade were easily taken care of with traction control...

I bought these tires almost 10 years ago (from Tire Rack!) for this CR-V and they have been nothing short of fantastic in that time. After 70,000 miles (driving about 8,000 miles per year in rough Philadelphia city streets and on many long highway road trips) they are at 2-4/32" of tread and time to replace, I'd buy them again if Pirelli still made the size I need but alas I'm switching to some cheaper Falken Sinceras and plan to get a new car later this year anyway. I picked the Pirelli brand for no other reason than to put some fun Italian flair on a basic car. I was rewarded with what I consider to be incredible tread life and even wear with whatever rotations the Honda maintenance minder told me to do, decent gas mileage, and consistent and easy to maintain tire pressures (every so often over the years one might go low or become near flat with temperature changes after the car sat in the cold for a few days, but a quick pump and I'd be on my way for more months or years of service - I've never needed to patch these once).

Bonus points to great durability (always parallel parking in a dense city you hit more than your fair share of curbs to the sidewalls and potholes, no problems), and on-point and direct predictable handling feel even on my sportier jaunts or fast loops around highway cloverleaf ramps - including in the wet! These things hardly ever chirped and any dicey traction situations over the decade were easily taken care of with traction control.

Weaker points are winter traction (though never unsafe, ABS brake activation was sometimes a surprise when we've had a dusting of ice or snow this last winter. I also couldn't get out of a parking space with 2" of snow in my 4WD SUV without some intense shoveling last week. These are all-seasons after all though.), and moderately more background road noise than I remember on past tires. I was happy to trade the small increase in noisiness for the tread life and confident handling over the years.

This is a replacement tire for a Scorpion that was road damaged. This is a great tire for this vehicle! Handles great, low noise ( even at 30k for the original set), good wet/ dry traction ( no snow in SC)!). I still have half of the tread left, so I would expect to get 50k or more out of this set. Highly recommended!

...I'm very pleased with overall tire performance across many conditions- from mountain slush and snow to wet to desert dry. Feels like I am glued to the road!

Exact replacement for my OEM tires. My original set lasted 40K miles with a little tread to spare, so I elected to replace them with an identical set. I’m very pleased with overall tire performance across many conditions- from mountain slush and snow to wet to desert dry. Feels like I am glued to the road!

...For an all season tire, their winter use in a Midwest winter is fine. I've had only one instance of completely losing traction - on black ice on an interstate at 65MPH - and that instance only lasted for a (very long) three seconds - I noted at the time three other cars that hit the same patch and were off the shoulder of the highway...

This is my second Cayenne Hybrid, & my third set of these specific Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires. I replaced the original set on this car at 50,000 miles with this latest set, only because it was required to re-certify (I bought the car after leasing it) the car by Porsche, who said 2 of the 4 tires had lost enough tread that they wouldn't certify the car. The installers actually stopped their work, before the installation, called me to the installation garage, and asked me why I was replacing the tires, since they were still fine with plenty of tread! For an all season tire, their winter use in a Midwest winter is fine. I've had only one instance of completely losing traction - on black ice on an interstate at 65MPH - and that instance only lasted for a (very long) three seconds - I noted at the time three other cars that hit the same patch and were off the shoulder of the highway. In dry weather, the tires are terrific - with all the electronic traction control, it is simply not possible to make them lose grip; and they're relatively quiet. In a torrential downpour driving through 4+ inches of standing water in the far left lane at highway speed, I felt a little wiggle, but wouldn't any tire do that? Overall, highly recommended, unless you're in the Rockies and it's winter.

They do everything a really good tire should, they disappear into the background. You don't even know that there there. We live in an area that has some extremes. Everything from summer heat and dry desert to loads of snow and ice in the winter, even more extreme when going through the mountain passes in winter. There are also dirt and gravel roads which are common. These tires have never brought any attention to themselves, just performed well and we continued on with no concerns. They have quietly done everything i have asked of them.
