Pirelli Scorpion Zero 

These tires are much better in wet conditions than my original equipment general tires. I have added many performance items to my truck. My factory tires would slip and scare me in water. With these tires I can actually accelerate to normal speeds without tire slippage. They are great in dry conditions also. I will definitely purchase a new set when my tires wear.14000 miles and still going strong and look new.

These Pirelli Scor[pion Zero tires were OEM standard on my Volvo XC60 T6 and have lasted 48,500. I will be replacing them with a new set as they have earned the reward. They are trouble free. Wear evenly, and are quiet. The Volvo goes well with them in the snow and on wet and or dry pavement. I will change them at the current mileage as winter is coming but if it were summer, I think I can get perhaps 5000 more miles on them. A really good tire.

I chose these tires for the price and the performance profile and have not been disappointed. Some reviewers remarked about excessive noise, but I have not noticed it to be a problem. Dry cornering and handling in general is superior, and wet traction is way better than the OEMs. The only problem I have is on snow, but that it not much of a concern here in central Oklahoma. The appearance of these tires also definitely adds to their appeal. The only real drawback so far is that they are extremely heavy, so if youre worried about unsprung weight, look elsewhere, and it makes them a bit difficult to balance properly. Tread wear seems to be at least as good as advertised. Overall, Im very pleased with these tires and am seriously considering a set for my wifes Rodeo. I would buy them again, if I keep my vehicle that long.

I bought these tires as an upgrade to the factory Tiger Paws. Wet and Dry Traction is exceptional, even when the truck is being pushed to its limits.

It feels like the body would come off the frame before the tires would let go. The tires are wearing nice and even. My only complaint is the need for frequent rotation to keep the noise to a minimum. As they are wearing, the noise level seems to be increasing. I don't drive this truck in the snow, so I can't help there. I should get 20K out of them, but after that, I think I am gonna have to start looking for a new set. I would consider buying them again.

Replaced the original Goodyear Wrangler HP with the Pirelli Scorpion Zero XL load rated tires. For dry and wet road handling it was like night and day. This is an excellent sport tire and once they broke in, they surprised me on how well the Rover handled at higher speeds. The cornering is excellent with no tail wag. They handle and corner as well in the rain. The tires respond as well as you react. In other words, no surprises. The Goodyears in comparison make the truck feel much heavier and make the vehicle lean when cornering at speeds beyond 55 mph. The ride is softer but much to sloppy for my driving habits. Braking at higher speeds (beyond 60 mph) with the Zeros is excellent and about the best of any tire that Ive used on an SUV. The Zeros are quiet but you take the bumps much harder. The treadwear wont be as good as the Goodyear but who cares. The Zeros are not snow tires (the Goodyears are a bit better) but do OK in soft or heavy snow (not good at all on ice). Ill use a Dunlop M2 when the worst of winter approaches. The Scorpion ZEROS make the Land Rover a totally different experience. Highly recommended!

Vastly improved cornering ability and load transfer vs. Goodyear F1. Much smoother ride at a drastically reduced price and extended wear pattern. Excellent traction on both wet and dry terrain. Also had superb customer satisfaction from the recommended installer. The entire process from purchase to installation was first class !!!!!!!

These are the best tires I’ve ever had on a vehicle. Minimal road noise and such a smooth ride. You will be going 70 on the highway, and these tires make it feel like you are going 40. The traction and response of steering is impeccable. You may pay a premium for these, but if these traits listed above matter to you, it is worth it.

Im comparing a 255/55/18 109V Pirelli Scorpion Zero (Sport Truck All Season) to a 255/55/18 109H Bridgestone Duele Alenza (Highway All Season) and a 235/70/16 104SP Goodyear Integrity (OEM Highway All Season) on a 2006 Honda Pilot. My comparions are based on the 2006 Honda Pilot that has stiff suspension and weak power steering. (Your cars suspension might be softer and power steering might be stronger, so the tires can react different on your car) . 1/ RIDE COMFORT: the Scorpion Zero is the worst, heavy steering on parking lot, rough ride on bumpy road. The Integrity is light and smooth. The Alenza is ranked between the other two tires. 2/ HANDLING: the Scorpion Zero is the best, quick and precise steering response. 2nd is the Alenza. 3/ LOOK: The Scorpion looks best on the Pilot with sporty wheel. For 2006 Honda Pilot owner, before change your wheel to a larger size and a female is also using the car, think twice because steering will be heavier, and the ride will be much rougher, especially with sport tire like the Scorpion Zero. Only the best Highway AllSeason tire like the Alenza could smoother your ride on a large size rim, but it wont look very sporty.

Before purchasing the Scorpions PZeros, I asked fellow BMW owners if they had any experience with these tires. No one had, at least on an X5, one person who had them on his ML sang the tires praises. Many fellow BMW owners suggested that I stick to the OEM Michelins, which were very pricy. Also almost of all of the tire sales people I spoke to recommended the Michelins. I ignored their advice and purchased the Scorpions. I am glad that I did not purchase the Michelins, so far the Scorpions handle at least as well, if not better than the Michelins and they seem to be quieter. I highly recommend the Scorpions to any X5 owner.

Bought these tires for summer driving in Buffalo, NY, USA. I also used them through one winter. The tread wears very fast, will have to replace them after about 20,000 miles. I mainly bought these tires for quietness and low noise level to take advantage of my trucks sound system, I thought these tires excelled even as the tread wore down.



During the Buffalo winter, I felt the side grip on turns in light snow was poor. I had to take extra caution if I caught a left arrow at intersections.



But because of the quick tread wear and poor side gripping in snow, I will not be buying these particular tires again. If you do, be sure to keep up on tire rotations to keep the treadwear even.

My Scorpion Zeros are aproaching 15,000 miles with 5,000 mile rotation intervals. The treadwear is even and tread depth looks substantial for a tire with 15,000 miles on them. There have been a lot of complaints about tire noise but in my experience these tires make no more noise then any other tire Ive owned. Coupled with my all-time all-wheel-drive these tires are unshakeable in dry and wet conditions. There downfall is snow. Not enough to warrant a different tire for the possible four months out of the year that snow is on the ground here though. I would have no qualms about buying these tires again. Ive been very satisfied.

I bought my 2006 Touareg with these tires and I am completely disappointed. I had to change them after 19,000 miles (average driving style). They were very noisy and in winter traction was poor. I will definitely never buy them again. No more Pirelli. I do not recommand anybody to buy these tires. This week I bought the Conti Cross Contact LX and the first impression is very positive. I expect them to perform much better than the Pirelli's.

Let me first say that the the Pirelli Scorpion Zero is an awesome tire. Performance wise, they do not dissapoint. This tire delivered everything it was supposed to. That said, they are performance tires, and they come with all the caveats of performance tires. You know; stiff or firm ride, which could very quickly become a hard or harsh ride if you live somewhere where the roads are less than perfect eighty-five to ninety percent of the time. Then theres the tendency to tram or follow the ruts and imperfections in the road. Treadwear.....I expected them to last longer, but four years is pretty good for a high performance tire I guess. In short everything you will probably read about this tires is to some extent true. Would I recommend them? Hell yeah! However, reading about a tire and experiencing it is two different things. What you think you could tolerate, you may find intolerable. BUYER BEWARE. These are performance tires after all. Me personally, Ive already switched to a set of Kuhmo Ecsta STXs that are closer to my OEM specs. How well they handle compared to the Scorpion Zeros? Give me a month.

These were good tire for handling in the rain and snow. I had no problem with them except that they wear too fast. I only got 28k mile out of them and I think a company like Pirelli should make tires that last longer. If you don't care about replacing tires ever other year than get these, but if your like me I need tire to last longer and I will be looking for another brand.

First of all, my style of driving is German - I drive fast, brake hard, and enjoy cornering. My other car is a Mercedes. Previously BMW.

To the tires, obviously a HUGE improvement over the OEM Wrangler "tires" - lose those ASAP when you buy the vehicle. They absolutely stink - for my driving style.

On highways, city stop-and-go, the Pirellis are SUPERB - a bit noisy, yes - thats the price to pay for reassurance and control when slamming the brakes from 90mph, or when driving in the rain. These tires do not let you down. Wear could be better - but, with the way I drive... guess not. :-)

I have driven the car on a fair amount of northern california dirt road trails - and pretty good performance in the dirt - mostly thanks to the Discos constant 4WD, traction control and ABS - the tires really arent made for the dirt. Still, I felt in control even going through gravel curves with four-wheel slides.



Highly recommend these, they are getting to the point of replacement soon (likely within 5,000 miles) and Ill trade to 19" wheeels but also with Pirellis.



BTW, Im an engineer, formerly in the automotive industry, I did exhaustive research before settling on the Pirellis - I can definitely recommend them for anyone except those who enjoy driving in the mud.
