Vredestein Quatrac Grand Touring All-Season Tires in 215/45R16

I can't say enough good things about these tires. Quality and performance for the price is outstanding. I've gone through two sets of these now: each set has consistently gotten me to around 30,000 miles before I start noticing that my tread is at 3-4/32". Wet handling is fantastic - I don't feel a need to modify my driving style in heavy rain. I have used these tires extensively in the mountainous parts of the western US without chains, and have been really impressed with their mild-moderate snow handling as well. These won't just let you do dumb things in the ice and snow, but I have had zero surprises on hard-packed trails, and have plowed through 4-6" of freshly-powdered camp site trails without sliding or getting stuck (but I also drive stick, so I can deal with snow a little more easily). I also feel confident maintaining appropriate travel speeds in blizzard-like conditions on major highways. These tires are both responsive and steadfast, and they are significantly more comfortable and quieter than the OEM tires that my car came new with. Now that I've also spent two sets of these, I can speak to Vredestein's manufacturing consistency: my experience between my first and second sets are identical in quality, performance, and tread life. I will happily continue to recommend and purchase these tires.

Bought these tires because my previous set was spinning out on wet pavement. I liked the aggressive tread design on the Vredstein tires and the fact that other drivers had given it a nine for wet road traction. They turned out great. No more spinning in first gear on wet roads.

I am extremely pleased with the performance of these tires. No slipping during acceleration on wet rodes or on corners. Absolutely love them.

We moved to the mountains in Western Pennsylvania from the Philadelphia area. We quickly found out the tires we had couldn’t handle the constant snow, and honestly most people have all wheel drive. I can tell you, in the snow, these work. I pass cars and trucks going up mountains with these tires in the snow. Very impressed.

So far these tires are out performing the Michelins they replaced. Especially in the snow. I will be buying them for my other car as well.

These are thoroughly competent tires. Handling, wet traction, dry traction and low noise level have met expectations. Since the car is not driven during winter months, snow and ice evaluations are not applicable.

Tire has good traction on dry and wet roads. It handles well in turns and you get a feel for the road.

Great tire does what It says, It is a solid all weather tire, got them in the fall, they perform well in higher temperature days 60 degree and low temp 4-11 degree days of January. The tire really shines in the wet and there's never a loss of grip. In the dry the tire is quite admirable, if you push it in corners you will feel some flex and get some noise from the treads. They are obviously not high performance summer tires like the ones on my other car. Tires are quite with little to no feedback. These are solid tires as an all arounder for the commuter, and they handle snow better than anything I've used, hard packed snow they will grip and do well in fresh powder, obviously not deep snow like 6 inches. They are obviously not full snow tires, I have FWD and they get me out of snow without an issue, if you're putting these on an AWD car, they'll probably be unstoppable. I usually rent a jeep for a ski trip to Lake Placid but I may just save money and take this car with these tires.

This is a comfortable, sporty tire, and so far I’m very pleased with it.

Very good traction and very good treadwear. A combination that is hard to find. Does well on ice and in snow. Very in the wet.

Treadwear is moderate. Doesn't really seem like it'll hit the mileage warranty. It does have a bit of an understeer issue and it takes a moment to respond to driver input. They will wear faster if you miss even one tire rotation interval. If your vehicle has a more aggressive camber setup, factory set up that is, there is increased where.
