General AltiMAX 365 AW All Season Car & Crossover Tire in 215/65R16

Really great tire. Wet traction is excellent. Originally thought the tires were a little stiff when going over bumps, but now I think they are doing wonderful on the city streets and highways. I am very impressed with this tire. I would highly recommend them for drivers that want a great wet traction and safe tire.

Great tires! I didn’t expect these to handle so well on dry pavement. They give the vehicle a sporty feel and steering feels much more direct. These Generals give a lot of confidence in the rain too. Haven’t had them in the snow or ice yet, but they should do well with the amount of siping. I also have been getting about 0.5 mpg better than the factory tire (Michelin Energy Savor). Only complaint is the constant hum on the freeway, especially over 70mph. It’s not loud, but noisier than the previous tire. Won’t keep me from purchasing again!

This tire continues to impress me. Very good in the wet, Steering is very responsive. Overall I really enjoy driving on these tires.

I've been purchasing General Altimax tires on all my vehicles that are sized for them. I can get caught having to drive through 6 inches of snow and these tires do great. The tread wear is excellent.

Just got about 3" of snow and they did great. I ran the artic 12,s on a corolla I used to have they felt almost like that. Good breaking over all good tire for winter. Hope they preform this good in deep snow l.

I am very satisfied with this set of tires. The ride quality has been fantastic, and this is some of the best traction I have had in non-winter months. This set is 10mm wider than what I normally use, and it is the first non-winter set I have purchased that were not OE. With only around 1,000 miles on the tires, I don't know how they will be for the long haul, but I have nothing but good things to say at this point.

Great tires, didn't notice a big change in battery range, they're quiet, and have great traction. Got me through a Wisconsin winter, and I like them equally in all seasons. Maintain the comfortable ride in a Volt, seem durable. The only comment I'd make on traction is it's not maybe the best vehicle to base it on-- the Volt weighs 2 tons on a small car, so I can't say how they'd do on a ICE Corolla at half that weight.

New tires < 500 miles on them and only the autumn season so far. Both wet and dry driving are excellent, road noise is minimal. City driving is a charm and one highway trip so far where it was a nice, quiet, comfortable ride. I had TireRack install the tires in my driveway and being a home worker, this was an excellent option. I have had them install 3 sets of tires here, pricing is excellent, and the quality of the install is terrific - nicely balanced wheels, etc.

I had these tires installed the day we had a small snow storm. I was able to get into my driveway no problem. I didn't spin at all. With the depth of the tread I expected a bit of noise at high speeds but they are very quiet. They also create a very comfortable ride.

I'm on my second set of these! I purchased these because I live in an area that gets snow about 3-4 months out of the year, but can't afford to keep a second set of wheels. These are perfect for that application and they are amazing in both light and deep snow; I can crawl out of anything and it just feels like I'm driving on slightly wet pavement when I'm on snow. I've also found that they are sticky like a racecar tire in both wet and dry conditions and put the power to the pavement way better than any other tire I've used. I'm occasionally a "spirited" driver and like to take off fast for fun and these tires make it even more fun. For a 3-peak snow-rated tire, they are also very quiet and have a very comfortable ride, like any other touring tire. The only downfalls are that gas mileage on the highway has definitely gone down a bit, and the treadlife isn't great, but it isn't terrible either. I think I got about 49,000 miles out of the last set and bought them again because I like them so much.

Very good tires! Handle very well, reasonably quiet, comfortable ride, good in wet and icy conditions, decent in snow, excellent tread wear on the Forester. Replaced at 53000 miles with 4/32 tread remaining. Would definitely recommend these tires.

Generals or Continentals are my first consideration. Every vehicle I've used them on is improved over OEM for comfort and traction. These AW365 are snow tire rated but are returning the same mileage as the OEM Kumhos on my Kia Seltos SX AWD. They are quieter and more smoothly responsive on any turns or local "chicanes".

This rating is not so much about this set of General Altimax 365AW's because of only 2,000 miles on them on my son and his family's car. But, it is a cumulative rating as this is the 5th set purchased and on various vehicles in our expanded family. Most of us live in the Adirondacks of upstate NY and drive over all types of roads and weather. The other vehicle is in South Carolina where the roads (mostly) and weather is not so extreme, but the highway miles add up quickly. The best aspect of this tire is it's ability to work well in everything.They perform well, as expected, in good conditions but what sets them apart is their ability to handle snow, ice, rain and extreme temperatures without worry. They are truly the first tires we have found that can truly provide a safe and reliable experience every time you drive on them. We cannot say enough good things about this tire. We are collectively and completely satisfied with them.
