The WildPeak A/T3W is Falken's Off-Road All-Terrain tire developed for drivers of pickup trucks, vans and full-sized SUVs who need capable traction for a variety of on- and off-road surfaces. Built for adventure, the WildPeak A/T3W is designed to offer capable loose surface performance with satisfying grip on dry and wet roads in addition to light snow traction that meets the tire industry's severe snow service requirements and earns the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

A durable, all-season tread compound is molded into an optimized tread pattern engineered to balance chip-and-tear resistance on coarse and off-road surfaces, with grip and handling characteristics on pavement. Support ramps and step-down features on the tread blocks help provide rigidity for handling stability while also helping to prevent damage from stones trapped in the grooves. Aggressive upper-sidewall features help protect the tire from sharp debris often encountered off-road while providing extra traction in off-camber situations. 3D Canyon Sipe Technology helps support the tread blocks under high torque conditions, aiding wear resistance while offering biting edges for wet and light snow and ice conditions.

The WildPeak A/T3W features heat diffusing technology in the lower sidewall designed to dissipate heat in the internal structure when towing or hauling loads. Twin, steel belts provide a durable foundation for two robust, polyester body plies which are reinforced with a secondary bead apex for confident handling and extra protection in dynamic off-road environments. A polyamide reinforcement ply is included for improved handling and high-speed capability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...The wet traction is superb, as is in snow and off road...

I bought these tires after my previous set of BFGs wore terribly and inconsistenly. At 50,000 miles, I've just started to get the slightest scalloping and a little increased road noise, but I've got another 10,000 miles in this set easily. They're the best tire I've ever owned, they don't affect mileage badly. The wet traction is superb, as is snow and off road. They've never given me a minutes trouble, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

...They are excellent on wet roads, great on gravel and dirt roads, good in snow and slush, and just okay on ice or muddy soil...

These tires have held up remarkably well on a 6-ton fwd van. They are excellent on wet roads, great on gravel and dirt roads, good in snow and slush, and just okay on ice or muddy soil. The overall winter performance wasn't compelling enough to use through a second winter in MT, but I'll gladly put them back on in the spring.

...Ice/snow traction in Chicago winter was astounding...

So here's the thing, i loved these tires at first. Ice/snow traction in Chicago winter was astounding. Went to an offroad park twice, once focused on mud and the second focused on mild crawling. Both times, they performed excellently. But then, after 32k miles and only 3.5 years, dry rot was a real thing. Bad. Tread had massive amounts of cracking in between the blocks and sidewalls were starting to crack near the wheel. I had to replace them for safety's sake. And that's when i realized how loud they had gotten. I thought it was just the engine/transmission (28 year old jeep, right?). But no, the new tires (Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT in 265/75-16, just as aggressive if not more so) are so quiet, i can actually hold a quiet conversation at highway speed again! I don't remember the Falkens being noisy at first, i just don't know when/how they became so loud. But man! The difference is stark. I wish i could recommend them as they were a great tire for a short period. And when i bought them in 2018, they were $92 each. So i guess i got my money out of them since the same size is now $175ish each. And i did get prorated warranty (based on the $92 cost, not the $175 replacement), so again, not bad. But with tires, due to the safety concerns, i don't give second chances. Not recommended. Considering how many people have had much better experiences than me, i understand that my experience is probably the exception, not the rule. I'm still rating and recommending on my experience, though. Overall dissatisfied and cannot recommend.

...On dry pavement, they are grippy (maybe due to being new with new tread depth); stopping distance, steering controls, and cornering are excellent considering I drive a Montero (it has a tall roof, and mine is a short wheel-base version)...

I have only driven my new set of tires in a City and Highway setting for about 300 miles. It is too early to tell how it performs in the long run (say at 5,000 miles) and off-road (which I intend to take in the near future). What I do know, at present, is that these tires gave a comfortable and quiet ride. On dry pavement, they are grippy (maybe due to being new with new tread depth); stopping distance, steering controls, and cornering are excellent considering I drive a Montero (it has a tall roof, and mine is a short wheel-base version). I have not driven them in rain or in snow.

I like the black-sidewall feature and they do look smart on my Montero.

...They are quiet and responsive... They never lost traction and easily crawled over large boulders...

These tires are the best I have ever owned. They are quiet and comfortable on the highway, and they chew through off-road trails. They are also amazingly resistant to hydroplaning. I drive them mostly on the road, and they are quiet and responsive. I have also taken them into muddy fields to go hunting, and they performed exceptionally well. I have also taken them off-roading onto some pretty serious terrain, to get to the base of some of the mountains in the Colorado rockies, and they performed exceptionally well. They never lost traction and easily crawled over large boulders. However, what impressed me the most is how well they perform on the highway. I have had several other brands of all-terrain tires in the past. I always felt like I had to sacrifice road noise and ride comfort, to obtain the offroad capabilities. But not with these tires. They perform exceptionally well both on-road, and off. (I cannot speak to their snow capabilities, as I run snow tires in the winter.)

...I found the ride very comfortable...

Was disappointed by Falken years back when quality seemed to drop off. Purchased again this time due to great price and reading reviews that quality was back. Would have to agree. Has held up very good on this old 95 chevy k3500 dually work tuck that sees both road and off road. Tread wear very good. I found the ride very comfortable. Not sure how many miles I have had them (I think 12k) but as long as they continue to handle the snow they will stay on the truck. (I normally just run tires down until I see the steel belt poking through anyway).

Will almost undoubtedly be purchasing again as long as the tread design and price remain close to what I purchased previously. Will also be using Tire Rack exclusively from now on. They were able to get these tires to me in a couple of days where none of the local tires shops could apparently get them at all.

...Road noise is just a little more than street tires. Ride comfort is good...

The Falken Wildpeak AT3 have been very good tires so far. Road noise is just a little more than street tires. Ride comfort is good. Wear seems even so far. Wet traction was slightly disappointing, but you can only expect so much from one tire. Off road performance is superb. I’ve had these tires in situations that I was sure we weren’t getting out of without help and they’ve surprised me pleasantly. Very good all around compromise when what matters is getting back to the road when you’re 20 miles back in the mountains in rainy slick conditions.

...What has amazed me about these tires is the tread life! These things have just kept going & going on up to 80k miles and they are still not worn down to the wear bars yet. Honestly I could probably eek out another 5k miles if I had too...

After 80k miles of hard driving, I Just ordered my second set of Falken Wild Peak AT3w's. Hands Down these tires have been the best set of truck tires I've ever owned- They have simply been rock solid.

I drive a '12 Ram 2500 CCSB- mostly highway & city driving with the occasional off road jaunt. At highway speeds (80mph) these tires are smooth, quiet & stable. They also handle "beltway style" driving with ease- performing well at fast curves, serves & hard breaking. They aren't race car tires, but for what they are the handle outstandingly well. City driving is just fine too.

Off road they are grippy and can really dig in when needed. I've had the lugs get clogged with mud on wet clay, but never have gotten stuck. With any kind of speed the lugs readily clear themselves of mud & gravel. Side walls are quite solid and resist abrasion well.

As for load carrying capacity- the most I've hauled in the pickup bed was 2yds. of gravel (4k lbs, give or take)- they never offered a shimmy. I often haul a gooseneck (10klb.) & horse trailer (5k lb.) and they do great.

What has amazed me about these tires is the tread life! These things have just kept going & going on up to 80k miles and they are still not worn down to the wear bars yet. Honestly I could probably eek out another 5k miles if I had too.

I do wish they were USA made, but whatever. They're just great a tire- and I know my family is safe with them mounted between us and the road.

...I have put 35K on them, and there is a LOT of life left in them, I think they will easily pass the 60K warranty...

being compleatly honest, I LOVE these tires. while they are not perfect tires they come very close. I have a 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO, I have put a lot of miles on these tires, I went from Northern Va to Albuquerque NM twice, a few times down to North Carolina, as well as a daily commute of 64 miles daily. I have driven in sun, rain, snow and ice, Highway, city streets, dirt roads a little mud and sand. these tires just do the job you want tires to do. the tread life is great, I have put about 35K on them, and there is a LOT of life left in them, I think they will easily pass the 60K warranty. and when these tires need to go, I will buy another set AT/3 if I can get them, AT/4 if I cannot get the 3's, because I KNOW how these tires work. I recommend these tires to everyone who has a truck asking about "good tires" for their truck.
and if you are reading this, well I recommend these tires to you too.
