The PureContact LS is Continental's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of family sedans, coupes, minivans and small crossovers looking for responsive handling and sporty steering feel, along with quiet comfort and year-round traction. PureContact LS tires are designed to combine the refined ride of a premium touring tire with an engaging driving experience and confident grip in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including light snow.
Temperature-activated functional polymers in the all-season tread compound of the PureContact LS increase compound bonding and help improve tire wear and fuel efficiency. The asymmetric pattern features stable tread blocks in the shoulders for lateral grip and high-speed handling, and the wide, central rib provides solid on-center feel and confident straight-line tracking. Comfort Ride Technology incorporates an underlay beneath the tread that is designed to isolate the tread from the casing and reduce the amount of perceptible vibration in the cabin. Continental's +Silane additives enhance traction in slippery conditions, and the sweeping grooves combine with deep, circumferential channels to help resist hydroplaning. Siped shoulders and intermediate tread blocks create the biting edges needed for grip in snowy or icy conditions, and traction grooves trap snow in the tread to provide snow-to-snow traction.
The internal construction of the PureContact LS features a single ply, polyester casing. The mid- to high-apex balances responsive handling and performance with ride comfort, while dual steel belts are reinforced by two polyamide overlays to enhance durability and high-speed uniformity.

The Continental PureContact LS tire is a well-balanced, highly-comfortable tire that performs very well well in rain and wet conditions. Considering I drive an EV which produces its torque at 0 rpm these tires Mai rain grip with the road impressively well. I expected to spin the wheels when pushing full power but the tires maintained grip and I almost didn’t see any traction control lights in my dash cluster. I’ve been very happy with these tires and would highly recommend them for fuel-efficient vehicles doing most of their driving in a highly-urban environment. They perform impressively well and maintain comfort even on moderately bumpy road. Again, I would only say road noise is where these tires struggle but even then they are still good performers. I highly recommend these for anyone looking into grand touring tires with excellent wet traction performance and comfort. They are reasonably priced and are worth the price.

...They seem to be very good in wet conditions, including very wet roads at interstate speeds...
These tires are nice looking with a conservative shoulder, sidewall and tread appearance. I have not tried them in snow. They seem to be very good in wet conditions, including very wet roads at interstate speeds. Dry handling and traction are excellent, though I don't push to the limits, so I don't know where these are compared to other tires. The downsides; These are noisy, as other reviewers have noted. Coarse textured surfaces produce more pronounced noise than smoother, but noise is always present. Flat spots occur after sitting overnight, worsened by longer duration and lower temperatures. They smooth out after 3 to 5 miles, depending on length of sitting and temperature. (Note that tires are inflated to 36 psi all positions.) Otherwise ride is good, but not superior to other premium A/S tires on my other car.

This tire is great. Just drove 2 hours in a rain storm and no hydroplaning - they were perfect. Also had a chance to drive this winter in the snow. Excellent Traction - Highly recommend!

My wife and I both drive this car. She travels to work 100 miles round trip two days a week. The tires are awesome ! Great wet traction. Quiet and responsive on dry pavement. All around traction is very good along with braking confidence. Really haven't driven in snow as we didn't get much last year here in south east NJ. And when it does snow my wife will work from home and I use my Durango. The car had Michelin tires on it when we bought it used last year. They were not good in the rain as the car would slide easily and accelerating would spin the tires. These tires don't do that. Very grippy . I would buy these again.

...Dry traction is great they grip well and under hard acceleration just give the slightest chirp but bite right in. However like other Conti tires these have the soft sidewall. Making a quick turn into a lane you can feel sidewalls giving way, and I even run 37lbs in them!...
I have always wanted to try a set of Continentals and these looked like what i wanted based on research and the Tire rack testing. They are a good tire and from the minute I drove away from the tire place, you could feel how grippy they were compared to the old Michelins that came with the car. I purchased these before making a trip to Florida in the spring, they rode really well absorbing most bumps and bad roads. I think overall a quiet tire but on that trip I noticed about 6-7 different levels of noise depending on the type/age of asphalt/concrete. With some older roads, wow they can be noisy but I don't blame the tire.
During some heavy spring rains here in Cleveland, I would say hydroplaning kicked in at about 55-60mph with maybe 1/4-1/2" of rain on highway. My Michelin MXV' handled that kind of water much better and wouldn't hydro until about 65-70mph. But overall channel most lighter rain away and maintain grip.

Making a quick turn into a lane you can feel sidewalls giving way, and I even run 37lbs in them! I would recommend these tires but suggest going down one sidewall size, wish i had gone with 45 instead of stock 50. And for a 50, the sidewalls look bigger than previous tire, which is a little strange but had read on acura forums other users thought the same with their Conti's. Not sure how they will do in winter but will give update once December snows roll in. I would rate these 2nd to my michelin MXV's from years ago without the Michelin price.

Excellent tires. My priority when choosing was noise and comfort. They are quite good at both, and seemed to get a little quieter after a few thousand miles. There is quite a difference between summer and winter (as expected). If the car is not heavily loaded keeping the air pressure at the lowest recommended level helps with the noise and comfort too.

Not enough miles on the tires to give a thorough assessment. But I will say after new rubber and a suspension refresh the ride is much more comfortable. The tires handle road imperfections very well. Very quiet ride as well. The R always handles like a champ and the Conti’s don’t detract from that.
I had the new set installed at a local Firestone and the process was painless and less than 80 dollars if I recall. Maybe even less. Awesome experience all around.

These tires are incredibly quiet and have worn evenly. I currently have 81,000 miles on them compared to the warranty for 70,000 miles. I like the "DWS" wear marker on the tires to indicate safe driving conditions for Dry, Wet, and Snow. I still have 4/32" tread on them after 81,000 miles and the S has been worn off. I should surprising get another 4-5k miles on them. I am running these on a rear wheel drive 2007 Lexus GS350. This car does terrible in snow and I have not found an all season tire including these that perform well in snow. Otherwise, I find these to be a great tire.
