The Quatrac 5 is Vredestein's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, station wagons and crossover vehicles looking for confident performance in the dry and wet, plus premium light snow traction. The Quatrac 5 meets the industry's severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and, as an all-weather tire, is designed to be a one-tire solution for drivers in environments that experience all four seasons, but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.
The Quatrac 5 features a high-silica tread compound molded into a multiple condition-focused, asymmetric pattern. The outboard shoulder and circumferential groove are designed for traction, handling and steering precision in dry and wet conditions, with low void ratio and large, stiff tread blocks. The inboard rib and inside shoulder are tuned for confident performance in wet and wintry conditions, with wide, circumferential grooves and lateral notches to evacuate water and slush from the contact patch, along with high-density, winter-focused zigzag sipes that help deliver the traction needed to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
Internal construction of the Quatrac 5 consists of a single-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement aids in handling performance and provides high-speed durability.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Surprisingly grippy in dry and wet especially compared to my old Hankook tires. I feel confident in them at least for daily driving.

This is a great tire with outstanding wet capabilities, and very good snow capabilities. It's quiet riding, doesn't lend itself to hydroplaning and provides multi season versatility.

...Since I'm in Michigan, I hoped that a tire company from Norway could make a tire that was good in the snow, without wearing out on the dry like a winter tire...
I've tried many brands of tires, on many models of cars, and Vredestein Quattrac series give toy the most confidence in any weather of any tire I've ever owned. They're not noisy, rough, or too soft in hot weather. Since I'm in Michigan, I hoped that a tire company from Norway could make a tire that was good in the snow, without wearing out on the dry like a winter tire. I'm ready to buy a set for my other car.

...Would recommend to anyone with a small wheel size looking for good grip in wet and snow as well as dry conditions.
Tires looked better than anything else available for stock 14" wheels for a Fiero. They definitely are meeting or exceeding my expectations. Would recommend to anyone with a small wheel size looking for good grip in wet and snow as well as dry conditions.

These are really great tires. The dry traction is awesome. The wet traction is also good. I have been unable to break them free so far. They have not been used in cold or show yet, but I imagine they will be pretty good given the design.

Honestly a good alternative for Michelin for classic cars with small rims. They are incredibly quiet, comfortable and make the car perform like it is intended... Also I live in a city where potholes are the norm and they can be barely felt in the cabin...
Honestly a good alternative for Michelin for classic cars with small rims. They are incredibly quiet, comfortable and make the car perform like it is intended. I drove my car today thru curvy mountains and it handled it like a champ. No squeaks, no roll, just glued to the pavement. Also I live in a city where potholes are the norm and they can be barely felt in the cabin. I don't know if this is because I own an older Mercedes or because the sidewall is pretty hefty, but you really do not feel anything wrong on the road.

...I needed something comfortable, decent snow traction and good feel on pavement, this ticks all the boxes!...
Wanted a tire for year round driving on my car, it's a pleasure vehicle so I don't drive it a ton, but still enjoy going out in the snow. I needed something comfortable, decent snow traction and good feel on pavement, this ticks all the boxes! Great for a low powered car that you love to thrash around

...They have gone 70,000 miles and still have tread left to give. (Ran from July'19 @ 180k mi. to Apr '24 @ 250k mi)...
I've been driving for 30+ years, but I am *not* a tire connoisseur by any stretch. I dont have a lot of experience with different tires, or how they perform side by side. That being said, I was very happy with these tires. They have gone 70,000 miles and still have tread left to give. (Ran from July'19 @ 180k mi. to Apr '24 @ 250k mi). Drove all around Chicago and suburbs on regular basis. Drove to Minneapolis 4x / year. Always felt stable in wet and snowy conditions. Any road noise they made was drowned out by wind noise in my cabin. I felt they were a great value at the end of the day. Due to suspension issues, they started to wear unevenly. And the rubber has started to dry out and crack. Note car has always been parked outside. Often in direct sun. I just purchased a set of Quatrac Pro's based on my experience with these tires.
